MISTAKEN FOR TRESPASSING During Monster New York Goose Hunt!! (88 Birds Strong)

This was just one of those days. The thing is, "one of those days" seems to be a common occurrence when we visit our friends at Eastern View Outfitters With a stiff WNW wind, we knew we could be in for a fine morning, but we weren’t excited about the rain in the forecast, dealing with expensive camera equipment. Thankfully, we got a break in the weather about a half hour after sunrise, and it was game on as waves of honkers descended upon our spread of 30 dozen V2/V2F Canadas and 5 dozen V2BW Black and White Canadas. With generous early season limits here in New York, we were able to put together another incredible hunt for the memory bank!

  • Love that y’all mentioned picking up shells. Little eye opening story to share… was asking for a field and the owner said she’s not allowing hunting anymore cause the previous guys left all their shell hauls.. we ALWAYS pick up out shells (specially since we reload) but realized on the last hunt we had.. the WADS produce just as much trash in the field as the hauls. So we started picking those up too. Just something to consider. Respect the landowners to the absolute max and they’ll keep saying yes!

    • Each hunter is responsible for his own birds. When we kill a bunch as a group, we normally have them ground up and turned into snack sticks!

  • How far did you set your decoys from the blinds?

    • Looks like about 10 yards on the close ends of the U shape and about 40 yards in the deep of the U farthest from the blind. They left the hole right in the center in front of the blinds with the hole being about 20 or 30 yards in diameter.

  • 88, birds did you at least offer the woman a couple of them, if that is legal in that area of course. We can gift birds around here as long as the hunters name, phone number, DNR number, the date of kill and total number of birds involved are recorded and kept with the birds until those birds are consumed.

  • Music on this intro is 10x better! Maybe overdid it a little with the transitions and effects. The logo also takes a little while to get there but looks sick with the text underneath at the end. Just my .02
