A visit to our friends at Bluestem Waterfowl was a trip on the schedule we had been looking forward to all season. On January 2nd, the Dive Bomb Squad exploded into 2021 with one hell of a strong start to the New Year hammering 13 limits of mallards over this small pond in Oklahoma in the spitting snow! With the hard work, knowledge, & preparation that goes into this operation, it's easy to see why Bluestem is so successful day in and day out!
This reminds me of so many hunts I've had while hunting Oklahoma! Literally this is like your perfect small water farm pond shoot that just makes you thankful to be there! Had many of mornings on them small pond banks scratching out limits all day!
If only they didn’t take away all the Peanuts that used to be around here…. Still some ducks around but not half the amount of Mallards we used to get here…

Hunted that same front in Southern Oklahoma. Knocked alot of greenies down. Oklahoma is a hidden gem when it comes to waterfowl hunting!
I think the word might have gotten out...me and some long time friends have been trying to lock down some private ground to hunt up there since the end of last duck season with zero success. Might just have to check out the public land opportunities.

Find the Peanut fields there’s still a few birds around here but when they stopped planting the Peanuts and went to sod the Mallards aren’t around like they used to be…. South Oklahoma along red river

If this is around the area i think it is and the day i think it is i have a pond in the area and me and my buddies were on it that morning and it was a damn good morning. Snowed on us all morning long. At times it was a white out. Damn good huntin in weather like that. Good hunt guys
