Welcome back to another episode where man and machine attempt to do battle with Haulover Inlet!
This episode we are back home at Haulover Inlet. Who will take the win this week between Haulover Inlet and the Boats?

@@augustreil Some sort of aesthetics cover for something I'm guessing. I was surprised Guru didn't mention it or see it in the comments. Actually damaging your boat should be a double lose no matter how minor
It was the lense for the navigation light on the side of the hull.

Love the videos and that they are short gems. Don't like the new bell sound though. it's too loud compared to your commentary and breaks the flow of the vid. Keep up the good work though.

Something comes of the hull of the blue MTI 48 when it was stuffed, what was that?
Navigation light lense cover.
Those azimuts are fast but unfortunately they also have those nice little windows along the hull. I have heard from multiple captains horror stories from hard impacts causing those windows to need to be replaced/resealed. On a dolce vita, which is over 100ft, the window one time shattered. I think that's why you sometimes see them going extra slow, also the hulls make uncomfortable sounds when everything in the boat moves around/shakes.
Sounds downright dangerous like the too common story of a ships crew not realizing there is a hull breach until far too late. If that window shatters and nobody notices for 5 minutes that could be a disaster

I've started to guess the winner from the intro. Got it wrong this time but often can guess correctly. 🤣 Looking forward to more of these in 2022.

The round 2 & 3 boats won as well in my opinion. Even though they stuffed the bow it was very minimal and nothing bad happened as a result seeing how the captains didn't even act like it was a problem and continued right on through.

Getting the air now and again is what that boat was made to do Haulover so that is for sure a win for them no doubts about it or almost it's a for sure win!

That round 2 MTI lost some paneling or something when it stuffed the bow on that wave you can see it go flying.

Round2.."only a light stuffing", but if stuff flies off the boat is definitely a loss

What was that piece that came off of the MTI at 1:40 after stuffing the bow? Did Haulover break his boat?
I watched it like 5 times and you can't really see where it comes from, and it looks like a phone. lol It's almost like it was something in the water and it sliced under it and launched it skyward. Guru didn't catch it or didn't care. lol
@@SuperWooba If you watch it slowly, it is some type of cover on the right front of the about half way to the cockpit.

The Blue Cigarette blasting through appears to have lost a cover from right above the FL numbers as you can see around 1:28, so yeah, Haulover did pound them hard.

Boats vs Haulover you seem too picky at times those are offshore racers a little water over the nose is called having fun.
Two things....1. At 2:00 the captain was doing the right thing. You do not blast out over waves. The commentary suggests the narrator doesn't know what he's talking about. Look after your boat and your crew. No need to stress your boat or your crew by slamming over waves; 2. The Azimut is 57 feet long which spans the length of the set (distance between waves) so of course that boat can safely navigate the entrance. Best the narrator lets the experts do the judgment calls
Yep, good call about taking it slower, any faster and it would've been a bigger stuffing.
There is a big difference between keeping the bow high to prevent stuffing and blasting over waves.
@@peterbretherton3546 and is there anything wrong with a little stuffing? I know it depends a lot on the boat style.
