  • Wish when u did these kind of videos u would show a view through the optic while explaining. Would make the info much easier to understand.

  • Another excellent video with some great advice... I also have all three varieties on several different rifles and after using them all I agree that the LPVO is the best all around choice in most circumstances. 👍

  • I just bought a Vector Paragon 4X Prism for my lever gun. I wanted something light, compact and decent quality, with some magnification. Field of view is more than enough for general hunting, and eye relief is pretty forgiving at 2.7 inches. Can’t fault it.

  • Primary Arms SFP LVPO, illuminated, ACSS....NOT expensive, 😉, plus super relaxed eye box, crisp clear glass, revolutionary ACSS reticle, illuminated, gets AMAZING reviews by the big KZhead guys such as Rex Reviews. I have one in a hybrid AR in 7.62x39 NO problems no issues 😉

  • I Think It Would Be Cool If Some Company (Like Vortex, Primary Arms, Sig, Or SwampFox) Made A PRISM OPTIC (Not An LPVO. Not A Red Dot. Not A Regular Scope) That Had A Magnification Of 1-6x (Instead Of The Magnification Being Fixed).

    • EoTech made a 1x/4x combination prism optic. Sadly, I don't think physics really allows another way to do it than physically rotating the prisms.

  • Vortex Sells The Spitfire 1x Prism Optic For $399.99; I Got It Brand New (At Least 2 Years Ago) From Cabela's For $184.76 After Tax. I Was Surprised That Cabela's Sold The Vortex Spitfire At Such A Low Price, Because It Has Great Reviews And Cabela's Loves To Sell Things At MSRP. The Vortex 1x Spitfire Is Great For CQB, Can Be Used With Both Eyes Open, And Has A Great Eye Relief.

    • Dump the sights you don’t need them. LVPO’s and Prism sights have etched reticle. Most decent red dots have at least 50000 hour battery life. You don’t need iron sight’s anymore.

  • I've been looking at the 1-6x Banshee and watching dozens of LPVO videos. What I'm hearing is, most affordable LPVOs higher than 6x are a waste of money. Because the Glass won't give you clear target ID at long range. When you zoom all the way into 8x or 10x, the glass quality and the small size of the glass fuzzes up the sight picture too much. Dial it back to half power and it's much clearer. The standard scope has to be set to Full zoom, before reticle hold over or wind correction can be used. They work fine at 200 to 300 yards. But at 400 & 500 yds it isn't hunter ready. Maybe okay for a large white target with good lighting on flat range..

    • I have a Sheperd 1-8 & the glass is decent at 8x, the eye box isn't great, but doesn't suck. That being said I prefer my Vortex Viper Gen1 PST 1-4, really good glass, really good field of view & the eye box is more forgiving at 4x, plus it's an MOA(they have Mrad also) reticle instead of BDC, so I can run it on any caliber or barrel length & find the my dope. Also, it's only 16oz, which is pretty light for an LVPO. Unfortunately it's been discontinued, rebranded as The Ranger, but that might be discontinued. Have my eye on a PA 1-6, but think I'd rather hunt down another Viper/Ranger, it can stretch out a 5.56 to it's effective range.

    • @@chizorama I ended up getting two of the1-6x Banshee. The 1st one has the Bright Cube shaped reticle with a good amount of LED lighting, which I think is great for fast shooting up close from 1x to 6x. The 2nd Banshee has a BDC reticle and the illuminated fiber-optic center dot. I think the dot is a little small. It will shoot 1 to 2 MOA and works fine on the 200 yd range. I'm going keep the BDC version on my best shooting upper, and put the Cube on my 9mm 16" PCC. If the PCC doesn't have at least 3 MOA. I'll try it on my super accurate Remington 788 .223 Bolt Rifle. Right now it's got a BIG benchrest scope, very suitable for long range, but too heavy for old folks like me..
