I love how Shatner was one of the few people that spent more time looking out at the Earth than floating around in zero g
Cuz he's fat and 90 and prolly struggled to move.
🙏❤️
I could care less about the floating I want to look out that window !
I remember seeing the video for the first time and watching everyone else floating around and there's Shatner looking out into space, and I get it. I would've done the same.
Kirk was captain cause he was always watching and ready, bless you William Shatner for everyone's childhood you made better
Honestly, "William Shatner" seems to be real, real fit for a 90 year old- amazing!
Credit to his biking I think he gets around on his Pedego.
Probably a clone
It's called pretty people surgery...
Wonderful description by William Shatner when he returned to earth. Profound and moving. God bless the man.
Proven: cpt. Kirk is NO chicken !
Bs tho. Astronauts will tell you no way a 90 year old can survive gforces going up in a fast jet much less a rocket
I can't believe I've lived long enough to see William Shatner go to space in a rocket shaped like a giant aluminum penis.
@@stevepalpatine2828 already reported as fakery. 90 yrs old bodies cant even take a few gs much less going up in a rocket. All media bs. Shatner would be dead if he really got the gforces going sub orbit man. That many times the powr of the biggest roller coastet
@@johndom6732 He's Captain James T. Kirk. Not a mere mortal!
It was odd seeing Mr. Shatner in actual space and observing the expression on his face. Part of me thought it would be like coming home for him. But this time he experienced space for real. Awesome!
Well said!
Captain Kirk thinks nothing of space travel, .........William Shatner was truly amazed. Glad to see him do it. Great shape for being 90.😊
100th like
Bruhhhh it was 50 miles high. Wasn’t space lmao
@@TheGaloov93 The official point at which "space" begins is called the Karman line. Blue Origin's apogee occurs a few KM above this line. You are mistaken.
When Blue Orgin reached about 50,000 feet they ran into some severe turbulence. This disturbed William Shatner deeply, so he took command (naturaly) and barked out the order "RED ALART, SHIELDS UP!"
No he barked out "Mr. Scott give her all she has got".
What's an "alart"?
@@AHoundOnAHonda Scottie's accent
🤣🤣 this comment tickled alot
@@karendixon401 Sure, except it's not Scotty saying it.
I am absolutely thrilled that William experienced this flight. I love that man, a wonderful person and actor. I was crying when I watched the news So absolutely thrilled and happy for him. Stay safe.
Love how the Shat is frozen, staring out the window in complete awe, like a child seeing the world for the 1st time. I can almost feel his overwhelming happiness thru his reaction.
he actually was filled with grief, not happiness. he wrote about it
@@TheUglyDuckling123 yeah I'm coming to this after his post
Yes, 'cos he realised the world was almost flat and not a sphere!
He said " some thing, is on the wing " when he looked out the window.
Love this. Wish the rest of the original crew could have joined him. Live long Will and prosper ❤️
That's what I was saying... It would have been so nice to see the other original surviving casts be with him. What a journey.
Yeah , him and George arguing in the capsule is comedy gold
If everyone in the world got to do that just once the world would be a different place.
I genuinely believe that.
Especially if half of us never come back down...
@@Mike-Urilorib Okay Thanos - give it a rest ;~(
Wouldst we'd be so well edited.
Unfortunately, I doubt it.
Shatner's response was mind blowing with such graceful words and meaningful words. It hit me deep but also made me think of something not in a joking way but in a realistic sense. When man first learned that he could ride a horse, when man first invented the automobile, when man first learned to fly and now with man first learning that traveling in space will be a possibility and is a reality. To see his reaction just made me think of our history and how there must of been other people who must of had such profound words and had such similar experiences. Man kind really has had some touching and heart hearing moments. Just feels amazing to be alive some days and very grateful.
Mr Shatner just realized that the ALMIGHTY GOD is real that’s why he kept calling on the name JESUS
@@emmanuelsackie4155 Why didn't he snap a photo of God then?
I love it!!! William Shatner...Captain Kirk... words when in zero G.. Weightlessness....oh Jesus!!! I hope Mr. Shatner had a great time and will enjoy telling his story to SPACE!!! Thanks for the video!!
I was hoping he would say, "Oh My".
We need more artists, poets, composers and actors in space. They can express space in a different way.
Well, I guess he didn't spot any gremlins tearing the engines apart....This time......
OK for one hello fellow 313er and second kudos for that reference I'm 40 but I do have an affinity for TWZ and remember also watching an interview where someone brought up that episode. I wonder how many people will know and say anything
Are you referring to " The trouble with Trebbles" episode. Cuz I loved that one the best I think, watched it "live" as a kid.
@@bobbiema6671 no, I. The old Twilight Zone Shatner was in he keeps looking out the window of his airplane seeing a monster and no one believes him.
Remembered that episode from being a kid, and only that episode.
@@kelvyquayo I remember that one too! TZ was the best. Thanks.
It’s always fun watching Jeff trying to feign an emotion.
I just rolled my eyes...
The grounds crew didnt have a helicopter in case of medical problems? they look so un professional driving to the capsule in Pick ups ...gee they need some basic emergency crash training procedures...like on a US aircraft carriers all deck crews have different colors for certain jobs. "what if" the capsule planning did not occur ,,not impressed at all with ground operations!
@@deanw1958 That's because this is a Hollywood production
How come the booster rocket touches down on a launchpad and the capsule ends up somewhere in the desert, is it unpowered?
Also, how do we know those windows are real and not some kind of next-gen 12K monitors spewing CGI? Wouldn't windows freeze over at low earth orbit? I am not a rocket scientist, obviously lol
Wow, this is so cool seeing Captain Kirk experiencing seeing Mother Earth from low orbit space! He clearly is very emotionally moved. I think he said while looking out the window "It's so beautiful." Even from my own viewing of the International Space Station video footage and seeing photos of Earth from the Moon, I am always amazed how expansive and huge the Earth looks, more so than we can ever see from a plane.
Earth is life, space is death. What a sublime thought.
so this amazes you i take it?
@@maxtek73 It amazes me how precious life is; how rare it is in the universe, how complex organic molecules like DNA and proteins and fats are (not to mention the complexity of the structures and processes they combine into) and how all life on this planet is no more than a thin mold-like layer a few meters thick, whether on land or in the water. This preciousness is made salient when a 90-year-old man leaves our extremely thin life-supporting atmosphere (less than 1% of the diameter of the planet) and describes it as a brutal ripping and as facing at death.
I thought his remarks were errie and out of place. In the country side, with no light pollution, the stars look INCREDIBLE. The entire night sky is FILLED with stars. In my experience, there is more light in the sky than darkness.(on a good night with good visibility, shouldnt he see ALL the stars?) Seemed so odd to me, to not mention the STARS once. And he keeps calling 'space' death. what gives?
@@Hashashin_Fidayin I live on a farm and in my experience, there is more darkness than light in the night sky. Under perfect conditions, we can't even see all the stars that are less than 100 light-years away.
@@Enleuk When you looked up, were your thoughts of death, and cold blackness? Or wonder and amazement, and the feeling of being infinitely small? I've never felt 'cold black death' when looking at the night sky. He got a 'front row seat', and his comments were odd to me.
Shatner, acting at it's finest. The other actors around him should get a lot of acting tips. Phasers were on stun for the audience.
I’m so jealous. That looks amazing.
Remember when young astronauts had to have severe training in order to make the flight into space. Now we’ve reverted back to sending out monkeys again.
Let this be a lesson to us all, we must retain experience despite the age of a person. William has manned many missions into space, Captained many missions. Today, we needed a man of extreme experience. No man has crossed the expanse of space so completely, so thoroughly. Today we need someone to hold onto the wheel and drive the spaceship to its intended space location. William, you still got it, I truly salute you, you're made of the right stuff
I was thinking William Shatner was going to say "There's someone on the wing, some thing". But no wing. All joking aside am very happy for him. I can't believe he's 90.
Wonderful, and love William Shatner. I appreciate all that he has done. ❤️
Just what I have been looking for. Thank you!
Look at him gazing out that window. Melted my heart to see Captain Kirk do it irl
What a great experience for all of them. Congratulations. And besides just to know you traveled to space with the Captain Kirk is wow super cool
Epic that was truly epic William shatner has been my one of my favorite actors of all times I grew up watching Star Trek I never tried to emulate him but he was a profound person in my life and one of these days I hope I get to meet him it would truly be an honor and a privilege.
90 year old astronaut. He really is Captain Kirk. Warp speed now or we're dead!
That would have been the coolest experience of my life going to space with Captain Kirk epic

Its true, we often don't realise how special Earth is and how we are surrounded by darkness.
He saw the earth was FLAT......good for HIM!!!!!
I hate Bezos but this nearly brought a tear to my eye. I could only imagine what it would be like. It was really moving to see his genuine reaction to seeing his home planet from space.
What's missing in this footage is how Bezos barely cared and went back to mingling with other people just a couple minutes later, I am wholly convinced that Jeff is a reptile like Zuckerberg.
Hopefully one day he will actually get to go to space.
I know a ton of pilots and space folks said its totally fake. No 90 yr old can survive going even sub orbital. Lol
@@shel0016you know a ton.... no you don't
@@sera56jaseit’s called a figure of speech. Knowing more than a few pilots is a lot more than the average person knows.
Everybody's flipping upside down and whatnot, Shatner is like I'm too old, I'll just sit here and look out the window. 😄
This is incredible. I love Star Trek, but i cant even imagine that actor which made space sciences popular really went to space. Really glad for mr. Shatner. He deserve this. If Leonard Nimoy would be alive...

That was so exciting!
Giving flat-earthers migraines.
Every astrophysicist in this realm says that the supposed "curvature" of the earth is UN-OBSERVABLE from low earth orbit....which includes, BTW the MOON, which has been reclassified as within our atmosphere.....gotta do better than that Sherlock
@@johncampbell829 Or the nonsense from your cult is not impressive. You just took several things completely out of context and twisted them to try to justify a failed meme, Sherlock.
@@johncampbell829 As a science teacher, the errors in your comment are very insulting. No, the moon is NOT within Earth's atmosphere, as the moon lies several hundred thousand miles beyond the exosphere, which is the transitional zone between our atmosphere and space. Second, the pilots of the famous SR-71 Blackbird, the spy plane from the Cold War Era, could themselves see the curvature of the earth when they flew at high altitudes, and they didn't fly as high as this flight did. So, you're wrong on both points. See ya.
@@joshuaburba1048how do you know this? Did you ever consider that we are all being decieved? Look at how ridiculous that moon landing was, the Apollo was a tin can with tin foil. Unless you have personally observed lower earth orbit (which nasa themselves say we have never left) you are only taking someone’s else’s word for it. Until you can actually see with you own eyes where the moon is, you are only mimicking what you’ve been told by others who mimic what they have been told. It’s amazing that people actually believe a 90 something year old could with stand the pressure of being in a shooting rocket, let alone the harsh smoke and mirrors landing. My 66 year old mother can’t withstand riding a roller coaster, that harsh drop would have broken his hip. Open your eyes…
Of course the part when Bozo turned his back to mr Shatner as the latter was describing his experience was left out. Despicably dishonest editing. Thumbs down.
Yeah Begross was hittin on the hoez

A bright spot in an otherwise dark year.
Jeff launching Captain Kirk into space is cool, Elon would have sent him on a few orbits of the Earth. When are you going to do this?
Orbital flights take months of rigerous training and you still need to be in at least decent shape.
