In the comments to my last video, a lot of you mentioned you'd like to see me beat Bloodborne normally. Well, ask and ye shall receive so I guess here it is, a perfectly normal run where only totally normal things happen as I attempt to answer the question: can you beat Bloodborne... normally?

Bloodborne is what got me into soulsborne games, made me revisit ds1 and ds2 after they kicked my ass on PS3 haha. Got platinum on all of them. Don't own sekiro yet though

You forgot my favorite optional boss, the great one beast! Sure it's kinda annoying with the invisible projectiles, but once you learn hoe to dodge them, it's SUPER fun.
I actually got some footage of that fight too but couldn't really find a suitable place to put it into the vid - if I put it into the vid before moon presence that would kinda ruin the whole wtf moment of the moon presence fight, and it made no sense to put it afterwards either. There's often lots of things that don't make the final cut in these vids just cause they're not necessary for the overall pacing

Nothing can describe my absolute state of elation and exuberance at the notion of you undertaking this challenge on my most favorite game, possibly ever. That, and the Battle A2 Tokyo Fight Theme from SMT: IV at the start definitely helped. The Sky and Sea are one! (My own take on "The Sky and The Cosmos are one!" Line, in reference to The Old Hunters, both being infinitely deep, both in depth and in horrific, unknowable, secretive mystery.)
Most relatable normal thing in this run is the pointless cainhurst out of bounds, I frequently find myself on random pointless ledges, and it really struck a chord

I'll be completely honest out of all the bosses in Bloodborne I had the most trouble with Micolash. All the other bosses paled in comparison to how many times I embarrassingly lost to Micolash. The only one that I struggled with almost as much as Micolash was Ludwig and even then it wasn't very close. I still beat Micolash within 2 hours to be fair but it is still embarrassing to say the least.

I'm not ashamed to admit that the boss I took the longest to beat was Bloodstarved Beast. On my second playthrough nonetheless. I honestly don't know what was different, because on my first playthrough ever I beat it 1st or 2nd try and was seriously in shock how msny people thought this boss was hard

Same here dude, I had one last trophy to get for literal years and I couldn't be bothered to ever get it (the Queen Yharnam one.) I found videos showing you how you can use a glyph to get to her without going through all the dungeons and got it 2 or 3 days ago😌

@@therevenancy Thanks! Haha, weird because I had the exact same issue. I ended up summoning someone for the Pthumerian Descendant. It's the arena you fight in, can't see what you're doing half the time. For the queen I just used visceral chains😂

So much of a game's artistic merit often comes down to its visuals. Bloodborne straddles the line between realism and surrealism in its art direction that it will probably stand the test of time better than many games of this generation.
I looks like one of the better ps3 games, and could even pass for a ps4 game, but lets not get carried away. It looks really great but compared to GoW4 or Horizon it's age shows
