    • I mean yes, but also no, I’m assuming the real reason why it takes a long time is for the game to load the new world state, considering every other world state change happens during a cutscene (Cathedral Ward, Lawrance Skull, the blood moon). It’s beyond safe to say that it had to be done to load the endgame. But yes, you’re correct Mergo is the Nightmare if it was not obvious already.

      @Mattaiu@Mattaiu3 күн бұрын
  • The delay after killing Mergo's Wet Nurse is to show that the Nightmare that you have slain isn't the wet nurse. Mergo, the baby that you hear crying in the later half of the game, is the Nightmare. When he stops crying, you get the message that the Nightmare is slain

    • for the record, i don't think you're killing mergo in the traditional sense. great ones have a weird relationship with mortality, if the old hunters dlc is anything to go by, and i interpret the slaying of a great one's nightmare as a psychonauts-esque escapade where you physically beat the fuck out of a specific part of their consciousness (in mergo's case, the fear of being harmed that made it cry and call upon the curse) and help them move on

    • You underestimate high level chess. Technicaly ANY gamer willing to put time and efford into this can learn this run if they are willing to sink time into repeating and learning all the enemies in all the games. Some people will learn in faster then others, but every gamer can in fact learn this. Most wont because of the huge amount of time it takes. Meanwhile all the time and practise in the world wont make you win chess word championships. Even if every human on earth did this, only 1 person would still win the title. this is not a title everyone can achieve. While completing a god run is available to all. Now, if we're going on a competition level who can do god runs the fastest going from never played any fromsoft game to god running them all in one go you may get closer to that title. No doubt there are gaming prodigies who could master games like this much much faster then your average gamer. But the average gamer can master any game as well. Just much slower. So no, runs like this do not compare to chess world championships in the slighest. I have 0 knowledge on sports so I will refrain from commenting in depth on Olympics. But I asume it is a similar story to chess world championship.

  • Like, I only discovered Gino a few months ago but I’m still blown away by how good he is at souls games. Like sure if you play elden ring enough you can no hit it by having strats but to do that in 7 souls games straight is crazy, especially considering how they can sometimes feel like a little bit BS and deaths that don’t fully feel your fault. Gino is a freaking machine man, love seeing these games get absolutely bullied.

  • First video for me, subscribed. Definitely nervous during DS2 run with all the maneuvering without dodging, and that one's my favorite. Skipped DS as I haven't finished it yet. Adding why you picked stuff up was helpful but could have done more of that for us casual youtubers.

  • I just started playing Souls games pretty recently, a while after the release of Elden Ring and I'm starting with Elden Ring. Played extremely casual games for over a decade, slowly building up moments of wanting to try a Souls game but feeling to meh or otherwise not up for taking on such a new and daunting thing. I'm still working on my first playthrough: Vagabond, no lvl ups, no armor, no shield, no armament upgrades, no spirit summons or co-op, no items, no bow, no ashes of war, no glitches, no nothing, just flasks. I'm playing each boss until I can beat them efficiently without taking any hits and while being greedy. It's really fun, and for me, a massive challenge. I hope one day I can complete a challenge like this one with the same conditions I'm running at Elden Ring with. I love this franchise.

  • For the rare comment....omfg that is impressive. I've completed Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring. Played the rest and never finished even a single run as RL always got in the way. Been a fan for a few runs now and this one beats the rest. Congrats!

  • I already knew FromSoft was very good at reusing things in their games, like dual boss fights, (O&S, and the Godskin Duo), swamp levels, things like that. But it only now dawned on me that Smough is literally just a reskinned Asylum Demon. Hammer looks almost exactly the same, and he has a lot of the same attack animations. I'm not surprised that they did it, I'm just surprised it took me this long to notice it.

    • Beating all Halo FPS Games back to back on Legendary + all skulls on (LASO) deathless turns out to be the hardest Challenge ever since Halo 2 LASO deathless was in fact so hard that it was unbeaten for over 18 years until Jervailin made it happen after Moist critical offered 20k+ dollars to anyone who could beat it. So doing all games in a row flawless is absolutely insane

    • As he said during the video in the bomb blowing up the wall scene in DS2, if it was an enemy throwing a bomb and it exploded around him, or it was an enemy throwing debris at him, it would be direct damage, but as the fireballs are from the sky and the fire on the ground that they cause are environmental damage, it doesnt count.

      @SirBucelotte@SirBucelotte6 ай бұрын
    • In the very beginning of Bloodborne, somewhere around Old Yharnam he takes fall damage; so I'm assuming this god run doesn't count that either. I don't remember if the fall is mandatory which would change circumstances if it is.
