@@Bubblemation I've beat ds1 twice, ds2 once, ds3 4 times onto my fifth and am halfway through bloodborne. The games aren't hard, get real. Honestly this comment gives me the vibe that you haven't played any. Sure they're harder if you're fatrolling all of the time like this guy, but if you actually have a planned build which I did on my first run the game isn't hard. That is the key to this game: just focus on a certain build when levelling up. Don't level every stat equally, pick a weapon/group of weapons you'd like to use and build around that. For example want to use large strength based weapons? Go for a strength build or perhaps even a quality build if you like quality based weapons. Want a sorcery based build? Level int and use int scaling weapons. The game is a lot harder if your build is all over the place and you don't do enough damage or your build is just poorly optimised in general.

I love making new characters in darksouls games, trust me after a while (maybe like 10-20 runs) you know where everything is by just knowing what area you're in I imagine that doing runs daily for stream will have that effect times 100
It's not that hard. I do it all the time whilst speed running. I have practised everything so many times that I barely have to think except in really difficult sections.

Yeah, as Beau Allen said, it’s just a learning curve. And that goes for pretty much all the Soulsborne games, although Bloodborne is a bit different due to the trick weapons and such. You should really play Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Even Demon Souls when the remake comes out. Worth it.

As a former speed runner who had a third place on an old 3D platformer, I can say easily that when you're on a good run, you feel like it's a bad run when you see the splits. The aim is to try and get perfect splits (Sum of Best) but that's not likely to happen due to RNG. It's also a psychological thing, it helps to settle your nerves and relax you by psyching yourself down rather than up, when you feel like you're going great, you'll take more risks.

Speedrunners really are on another dimension. I'm in awe everyday tuning into Distortion 2. The speed, accuracy, perfection. it's fun to watch and i don't even speed run myself.
That secret bonfire in the forest was a gamechanger for me. It must have been brutal for Asmogold to get through there. Before the update when the forest ghost would respond I would glitch them off the cliff jump off to die and reinse and repeat a few times to level boost.
Still works. I just used that in my first run through DS. Aggro everyone between that bonfire and the cat, bring them back to the cliff and they bounce right off your head and PROFIT.
You can still do it and will always be able to do it lol. I literally did it 2 days ago. You just run to the guy with the axe, and then run back and stand near the cliff and wait.

Now imagine watching this as one of the people who poured countless hours into making this game.
They'd be happy. Speedrunners puts a lot more time playing the game than an average gamer because they have to find glitches and exploits through trial and error.

I think he didnt get the point of q speedrun. Like every single one of us knows how to skip/run through some areas without wasting time on mobs. Thats what i did in ds2 all the time i just run from boss room to boss room
@@jangofett4547 Yeah he's got to faking because the understanding he showed was impressively lacking. I haven't played the game and I caught on to most of what was happening
