Vinyl / Leather Seat Adhesive Patch
UPDATE #2 11/17/2023:
Check out this update video: • 3 Years Later | Vinyl ...
UPDATE 1/14/22: The patch is still holding strong. The edges are perfect even with 100+ heat in the summer and -20 in the winter. Very impressed!
Our new car had some damage on the driver seat. Some of the vinyl was ripped/cracked. I wanted to try an adhesive patch to help stop the damage from spreading.

Now you should give us an update every few months or so just to see how the patch held up with you guys sliding in and out of your car all of the time. Thanks .
So far there has been no change. Holding strong! Thanks for watching!
@@DakotaBusy thanks for the update
This way better and easier than those stupid leather fix kits
Right?! That's what I've learned. All that gooey paint this and heat that is crazy messy looking
You should put a similar patch on the other side of the seat which would make them seem more a part of the seat.
Outstanding video and solved my issue perfectly. Great work.
Very nice presentation. Thank you.
Very good review. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing; I'm looking for a way to repair a crack in my mower seat. Do you think this will work well for that type of application?
i suggest to do same pattern in other side of seat and same as passenger side so it will looks even and like sporty design
Great idea!
I need something like this for my arm rest that's cracking nothing fancy just a simple patch
Works
I have the same problem with my subaru
It helps tidy it up, is the best thing about it. Oh and way way cheaper. Did I forget that?. Just bought some patches myself. Ta
Did it work for you? You used it on your car seat or couch?
It’s cool but in my opinion maybe you should have gotten a bigger patch and cover the whole bottom part?...... I’ve seen larger ones on eBay!👍🏾
That sounds like it would be a pain to install. Interesting idea though. Thanks for watching!
Can this be used to protect back edges of a leather chair? Will the patch make scratch marks when bumped into wood edges? Thanks
I think it would work fine for that. It would be another layer for protection. If you ever wanted to remove it down the road it could damage the leather when you pull it off. I don't think it would mark or scratch a wall either.
That's what I'm looking for! Gonna try it
Looks easier than all other videos I've seen so far. How did it hold up? Nevermind, i read your comments on it lasting.
And it’s still holding up. None of the edges have lifted at all. So far I’m very impressed.
I have the same car with a rip in that exact spot! How has it held up?
There has been no change since I applied the patch! It’s holding up better than I expected.
Can you give me the link for that learner patch?
The link of the product I used is in the description.
What color did you use ? Black ?
Yup
How is it holding up?. are the edges still flat?
So far so good!
Can't find the link.

Reminds me of the kid in kindergarten with the knee patches on his dungarees...... This repair does not look good. I might even argue the seat looked better with just the small crack.
Well, it's a good thing I did it on my seat and not yours. Thanks for watching!
Looks terrible even worse . Get a larger piece to cover the whole section then get color matched spray paint online to paint it the same color as the seat.
I wish this wasn’t so obvious. My car is a lease and they’re going to charge me for this.
Duct tape?!
No. It’s not duct tape...don’t use duct tape...
So just a piece of actual tape
It would be disingenuous to compare this to say duct tape or gorilla tape. It’s adhesive backed faux leather. It is holding up very impressively still.
and so what does it matter about the stretch? you don't say.
I figured the more it can move and give, the better it will stay in place and not rip and peal up.
🙄☹️😏😂😂🤣😆
how can a 2 minute video becomes a 8 minute video of mostly nonsense talk
clumsy looks very bad like that 😡🤦🏻♂️
