No, his boredom did not cause Hutch to let the burglars go. He realized at the time that they weren't a threat. Its revealed when he tracks them down.
Dude, thank you so much. I just realized that now. He wasn't even holding back, but he needed the kitty cat bracelet
You're right.... Plus he realised the burglars gun wasn't even loaded...
Exactly, his training and experience allowed him to realize they weren’t really a threat, and that the gun wasn’t even loaded, but as he’s been out of the action for awhile he only came to that conclusion subconsciously and didn’t realize it until his brother walked him through it and had him give the details of the event. That brief scene with him alone, talking to his brother on the radio showed just how thoroughly trained and experienced he was, despite our not knowing the specifics of who he truly was and what he had done in his past.
I was getting ready to leave this exact comment. Thanks. I'm glad to see that it's not just me who's actually paying attention to the movie itself.
Yeah the movie very clearly implies that the reason Hutch didnt hit the Criminal is because he realized that the Gun was empty and he didnt wanna unnecessarily hurt anyone as he wanted to move on from his old Assassin Life
The man who never misses a gunshot, but misses the garbage disposal everyday.
🤣
Hahaha yeah
who doesnt
Every Tuesday..
Yet, despite a realistically good fight on the bus, none of the many shots them villains fire ever hit him ;I
I love how he snaps while describing his past to the Russian corpses. His annoyance and envy is so relatable.
I wouldn't compare this to wick.... Wick wanted out, hutch wants back in. The bus scene where he's asking God to open those doors. Great movie, and great story on its own
This is precisely what we need during these lock-down times. Hutch is what every working person wishes; to be an ordinary person that losses it and justifiably gets revenge. The opening of Nobody tells you almost everything you need to know about Mr. Mansell. He wakes up, goes to work, comes home, and goes to bed. The stuff in-between is too depressing to mention, but it does paint a very dull picture of a man in a loveless marriage. That is the life of auditor Hutch Mansell. It gets worse when two criminals break-in, and as you know from the trailer, Hutch was useless. His wife emasculates, his son thinks even less of him. The only family member that still loved him was his young daughter. She didn’t know about her father’s inability to protect his family. Therefore, she still had complete love and trust in her daddy. The love of his daughter was the only thing keeping him from going crazy. When he discovered his daughter’s bracelet was missing because of the break-in, he snapped. Determined to get his little girl’s bracelet back, Hutch goes above and beyond, searching every part of town, and because of his relentlessness, he started a ripple effect of John Wick-sized events. More details come to light, and Mansell becomes even more impressive. Throughout the film, Hutch never goes beyond the everyman persona. He is not John Wick, but he can shoot a gun. He is not Rambo, but he’s ok at hand-to-hand combat. The believability of Nobody lies in the blandness of Hutch Mansell. You will believe that an ordinary guy can be a hero and save the day, and you will love every minute of it. Nobody is an excellent movie that’s worth seeing multiple times, and it should go without stating - don’t leave before you see the post-credit scenes.
Sometimes a movie is just better than the sum of its parts. Sometimes a movie comes around that compels you to see it but you can't imagine it will work for a number of reasons. Sometimes that movie blows you away by its perfect execution. Nobody is this kind of movie. I loved it. Bob Odenkirk is phenomenal and perfect in the role of the seemingly mild mannered accountant with a secret past. The film works, in part, because he is believable in the role. The filmmakers understand that Bob Odenkirk is not Keanu Reeves. He is not a heartthrob, but maybe that makes it even more believable. The soundtrack is fantastic. The acting superb. The cinematography perfect. The action and extreme violence is tempered by an appropriate sense of comedic timing. As a 50 year old family man, Hutch Mansell, is my John Wick. God help the fool who dares to steal my kid's "kittie bracelet". The movie reminded me of another great one, Falling Down, with Michael Douglas. Props to Odenkirk for putting in 2.5 years of physical training to limit stunt doubles and make the gritty, bare-knuckle fight sequences memorable and exhilarating. This is destined to be a classic. This will surely be my first, but not my last, viewing. It also will probably not be the last we see of Hutch. I hope.
I agree with you on the movie Nobody. I hope they do make a sequel.
one of the greatest action movies of all time, despite its young age
Couldn’t have said it any better, and I look forward to the next episode that is rumored to be about his life before having a family. The movie was way more popular than anticipated, and it wasn’t intended to have sequels, unlike John Wick. The writer of both these films came up with an idea outside of the garbage they are regurgitating in Hollywood lately. I put these films into the new, but actually well thought out story line concepts. I also put A Quiet Place into the the same category.
so, nobody worked for government and john wick worked for mafia nobody just received a called from government about john wick, where he need to "audit" the situation that's why he need a basement, he knew john wick, and john wick knew about him
Whoa man, that's very plausible 👌
But john actually is being hunted by the mafia, he is not working with them
@@Jp4t John worked with the mafia in his past but now he’s being hunted by them
This is the crossover that we all need...
@@bl5533 and the organization slipped it into the government's channels that a high value target is now on everyone's hitlist,
If they don't make another one or two, they are missing out on a huge payday.
And it would be a waste to have bob train all those years for one movie only
Unfortunately the never did But still expecting something
This movie is an astonishing work of pure genius and a hazing of the senses. It is NOT a traditional action hero flick. Forget dreams of Bronson, Statham, Reeves, Nelson, Schwarzeneggar - more like Fight Club Off The Hook in one guy trying to right the wrongs of the planet in one little girl’s kitty cat bracelet stolen from her during a home invasion and then it spirals into the abyss of chaos from there. This movie is about the real Everyman come to life for good or for bad for evil or redemption with real and truly abiding justice. This is not John Wick, nor the Equalizer, nor die hard. This movie is more like Henry VI part 1. It is absolute genius and should be nominated for an Oscar for its screenplay which took a mad hatter of a screen writer juggling eggs and chainsaws to figure out. The audience is left baffled, titillated, and thoroughly satisfied at what just mucked their senses when the credits roll. Even now, I could only vaguely relate what happened and the many criticisms of this effort are unfair, shallow, limited, and not worth paying attention to. If you don’t see this in the theater, you’ve missed one of the very great movies of all time.
Agreed 👍
Except it turns out it was never stolen. If he knew that, the entire rest of the film might never have happened.
Impeccable writing by the way
@@EfftupSmith It would've happened anyway because he missed his old ways badly & was just looking for an excuse/reason to become immersed in it again, as the bonus commentary revealed.
A crossover with John Wick and Nobody will be fantastic ..
A lot of the same people are involved,so they’ve actually already talked about that could happen.
The most fun I've had this year viewing a movie. Can't wait for 'Nobody. Really', the sequel. (The Russian Mob is going to want their $400,000,000 back.)
"After he fails to defend his family from two intruders ..." Did you even watch the movie? He was about to take them down when he noticed the revolver one of them had was empty, there was no bullets in it. He allowed them to leave.
It is actually quite simple from my perspective and theory. Hutch, as a revenge/punishment to Yulian, burned Obshak. That was money from all Russian mafia that was babysit-ted by Kuznetsov, and just a very small percentage of that money was Yulians. That means he pissed off a LOT of angry russian mobsters who will definitely come seeking revenge. Who was on the other side of the line in that phone call? My guess is the Barber (since it was his real estate agent who was called), warning Hutch about the whole situation and that he is on top of russian mob hit list. Post credit scene is also simple, RZA and Doc are taking the arsenal to Hutches new home, for defensive purpose ofc. Just my 2 cents.
This was a great movie! I hope there are sequels! Even more fun to have him show up as an Easter egg in the Wick movies or vice versa
I love it !! It was awesome movie with great actor Bob Odenkirk !! When John Wick is on vacation,,,,Better call Saul !! ;-)
Nice!
"I wanted to commit completely to this role, to go into utterly unapologetic rage." 🔥 ~ Bob Fuckin' Odenkirk
I love the way they used music in this film. “I gotta be meee.”
I couldn't stop laughing at the mispronunciations by the computer voice. "Wall tee zero wall action" is my favorite.
Montige was my personal fave.
Nobody thought to just look for the friggin bracelet under the couch. Always! look under the couch.
Definitely my kind of movie after a long pandemic absence. And according to rotten tomatoes, a lot of other people felt the same way. I am glad I paid extra for Dolby version as it was worth it and more for fun and nostalgic music score. The theater was rocking with many tapping feet throughout the movie. Of course I saw it alone as my wife does not like John Wick type movies but Odenkirk does an excellent job and Christopher Lloyd may be my new senior Hero in the movies. I stayed in my seat for the post credits once again for the great songs played to the end. And in the end I was rewarded with a fun video scene that made me laugh.
This movie was just as good as "John Wick" and I hope they do more of them.
We need a sequel for nobody
"Its wall T zero wall action?" Didn't anyone listen to this before it was published? Pretty slapdash.
My boyfriend and I wanted to watch this because Bob Odenkirk was in it, he’s such a good actor in Better Call Saul and everything so we wanted to see him in this. Going in I didn’t really know what kind of movie it was going to be. The most awesome thing about this movie is the fight scenes, I love some badass fight scenes, the whole fight scenes just had me shocked with how cool and how good they looked. Made me really believe that Odenkirk was some ordinary looking dude but was a badass underneath. Only thing it lacked was I feel like personally there wasn’t enough story really, and for a fight movie like this there usually isn’t but I was just hoping for a little more. It was also a little off putting seeing Odenkirk doing a role like this compared to his other roles, but he actually nailed it once I got more into the movie, he’s a really awesome actor and can seem to pull of anything. Overall the movie was good, the fight scenes were awesome, Odenkirk was amazing but the whole movie itself wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t terrible either!
This movie, like the Wick movies, doesnt need a complicated story to work. Less story means more time for action.
@@kingcobra2858 Agreed 👍
Bob is 60 doing an action movie he wrote... hes insane... give him an oscar
@@GODHATESADOPTION Wiki says 58 but yeah thats fucking impressive.
I like Odenkirk. I think he's great. I think his new show is a hoot. However, the Claymore mine thing... A driver in Vietnam was concerned about driving his truck into an ambush. So, he affixed a Claymore mine to the front bumper and wired the primer to his horn. Sure enough, one day he drove into an ambush. Acting quickly, he turned his truck to face the ambushers and blew the horn. The Claymore wiped them all out. However, he was too close to the explosion, and the concussive force blew out his eardrums, causing permanent severe hearing loss. That police shield will not protect against the back blast of a Claymore mine. There is a fine line between visually stimulating and down right silly.
Well movies are never completely realistic and this movie mostly was
@@tinyboatsunk7744 Never completely realistic??? So you'd be okay if the character were to fall out of an airplane at 30,000 and land on his feet on his front porch and turn and unlock his door and casually walk into his house... This would be more realistic than a guy strapping a claymore mine to the front of a plastic shield and not blowing himself up into teeny tiny little bloody pieces. There's realistic, and then there's realistic.
@@RichardSpeights it's actually bulletproof glass with two metal bars on it
@@PirateCat822 Oh, well, that makes a huge difference - not. The explosive force of a claymore is to a striking bullet as Mt Everest is to an mole hill. Hey, the whole show is an exaggeration, so strapping a claymore to the front of a bullet proof shield is just part of the show. Still, it is an extreme exaggeration. Anyone who tries such a thing will not survive the experience intact.
@@PirateCat822 In our brave new world of make-believe, we have people surviving horrendous blows behind shields, Captain America, Wonder Woman, etc. However, reality, as stated by Sir Isaac Newton, says in his third law of motion, "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." In other words, big boom makes man fly away on his spiffy bullet proof shield.
There are some inconsistencies in this video. Hutch didn't attack the couple because he saw that they weren't a threat. It's explained in the movie for crying out loud! Secondly, when a person like him leaves the life he is still being watched. If you were to go back to anything it will trigger people to start giving you new things to do. It happened to John wick and that phone call indicates that it is happening to him. They did not call his phone which is what they would have done were he actively working with them. They called the realtor's phone, this indicated two things to him. One, they were watching him and knew exactly where he was and who he was with. Two, this expressed to him immediately that this was somebody with power and means. He didn't look too thrilled but he did seem resigned to it. His wife recognized that and asked about the basement thereby indicating her acceptance of the situation.
Chris Lloyd is so cool in this, I love it ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
NOBODY, for me, belongs to the list of fun movies to watch that features the tried&tested theme of hidden/retired assassins forced back into play. RED, Jason Bourne, John Wick, The Accountant belongs there as well. I liked NOBODY's spin on the tale as Hutch still has a lot to lose if he fails, as shown in the home robbery scene. Moreover, he does get hurt while doing it similarly to John Wick. Which also begs the question: Who would you rather piss off and have a chance to live? Hutch/Jonathan/Frank/Jason/Christian/All of them at the same time?
They picked a great actor when they chose Odenkirk. A second movie would be awesome lol.
Can't wait for the sequel when we find out what that phrase, "Remember who we used to be?" meant (David to Hutch, and then later Hutch to Becca) We now know about David, Hutch, and Harry's pasts. What is Becca's past?
Just saw this Saturday best movie I've seen in awhile.
Can’t help but watch this movie 3 times lol It’s just awesome action movie. Great story line. Can’t wait for Nobody 2 👍🏼
Cute kitten making cute eating noise with Bob Odenkirk smoking a cigarette... sexy lol 😻💕
That was amazing.
Original look of a typical Hollywood tough guy gets revenge playbook. With about an hour and a half run time definitely fell into perfect timing, didn't over extend the story while giving me enough to justify a $10 ticket. It was entertaining from start to finish. With all that being said take it with a grain of salt, this is the first movie I seen in a theater since End Game. I felt good to get back to some normalcy.
i think they're gonna make a sequel bc i didn't get the ending i cant lie but it was funny 😁
If they made the sequel, it should be called "Somebody" . Since he is not a "Nobody" anymore . And I just realized his dad is actually time machine professor.
It makes no sense that he would continually forget to take out the trash on time every week. Just take it out the night before!
At Least he was able to save a stray cat. . . I know someone who couldn't even save his goddamn dog..!
I think this strikes a chord with every man who gave in and got married instead of fulfilling his full potential.
Dont need explaining i watched it twice in a row sits out front in v8 fingers crossed & smirks bang bang its on again daddy i want a kitty cat the last thing has a kitty & a painting .
My theory which no one seems to talk about, is that Nobody is some kind of freak of nature, fast healing or impossible to kill. Not a normal human clearly.
When Yulian learn about this family man Yulian: "Who is that F*cking Nobody??!!" Tarasov: "That F*cking Nobody is John Wick"
I noticed when he parked his neighbor's car on his building he parked it on "Owner" spot instead of parking in it at nearest door. The result he got shot on his shoulder.
I liked this movie alot. To me it has good direction, pacing, audio, music, and cinematogrophy, etc.
I just watched this film, like two minutes ago so I’m fresh with it and ready to write this review. A man fails to defend his family when two burglars break into his home one night, is that a exciting plot to you? Well, if it is, this movie is for you. The plot was pretty exciting, so I decided to check it out. Was I disappointed, No, no I was not , this was a masterpiece, and is my second favourite March 2021 movie so far (First being Raya and the Last Dragon). This is a different type of movie and I’m perfectly fine with it. Every scene is this movie is WOW, and I’m trying not to give any spoilers because the film released just today. I can say, this is a little gory and has fun action. Hutch is a awesome main character and you feel his pain and just feel for him and care for the character. Hutch is a very well developed character, and the point of the movie is technically just him trying to save his wife and son and not make the same mistake of failing to protect his family. Bob Odenkirk is amazing at this role, and his acting brings so much life to the character of Hutch. Odenkirk spills his acting talent all over this role and I loved every second Odenkirk was on screen. Nobody is definitely going to make it on my top ten 2021 movies, I just know that. This is probably one of my shortest reviews but there’s not a lot I can say without leaking something about this amazing film. So that’s my review on 2021’s Nobody
The police officers getting phone call.. Can u explain that?
Never touched on the scene with the cops and the phone call they received. Big part of the ending! My theory its a call from up high in Washington to let him go, he's immune from them. In return he's now committed to working for whichever agency it was. The reason he didn't whack the burglars? Not boredom! He saw they were rank amateurs and little threat, probably some professional pride and code of honour stopped him. Only the kitty cat bracelet tipped him over, coming to the home and messing with his daughter, that stepped over a line, maybe a code of honour that would prevent him messing with a marks kids.
Never use the sliding technique to change scenes! It is irritating and also making us dizzy
I hope john and hutch work together in the future
FINALLY,SOMEONE MAKE A EXPLAINED DOCUMENTARY ON THIS AWESOME MOVIE. I SKIPPED THE SCENE WHERE THE MC WIPE AT THE BOARD SADLY BECAUSE MY LITT BROTHER WANT HIS ATTENTION.
Superb movie. GJ
I want that in the sequel the wife has more screen time I think that is interesting that she's is fully aware of Hutch past , I would like to know how they met maybe she has a secret past too
Does anyone know what the phone call that the two police officers got at the end might be
Movie Music score was timely. "I've gotta be me" music scene is when he really let's out his boring family transgressions and let's the bad guys have all his nostalgic and care free times back.
You really said "R.Z.A."..... That's Classical... I have to go and tell my peoples back in Shaolin!!!
This movie was fantastic. I knew right away that someone from the John Wick movies had worked in this because the action choreography was creative, dynamic and spot on. Bob Odenkirk shines in this role, and I love to see him as an action star. The only reason it's not a 5 is because there is just a little bit of cheese. I love an action movie having comedic relief, but it was just a tad too much for me. HIGHLY suggest watching. Glad to see a good movie come out again. It's been a while.
A tad too much of cheese? you serious? It was the perfect amount plus I don't see they are intentionally making this more of a comedy than an action movie.
What about the wife, how was she connected to her husbands past, she seems to know what to do to close up a wound. Was she also an agent or maybe a minder/controller for Nobody
Yeah, during that scene it seemed like she knows about his past, but later she decided to seem completely oblivious to his past.
@@johnpatz8395 It seems like she knew SOME of it, but not all. He says something to her about being completely open from now on or something
@@EfftupSmith yeah, that didn’t make sense after the earlier scene, were she wasn’t really shocked that he was beat up and even stabbed repeatedly.

Wall tee zero wall action. Sure sign of a computer generated VoiceOver.
Jesus, what is with the ads? Do you want someone to watch this or not? I’ll never watch a video you posted again.
Omg RZA did a great bad ass job in that movie!
Hutch's wife looked too disturbingly similar to Skyler in Breaking Bad....
I want to see this movie... "With every fiber of my being". "Thank you for your service."
I thought the dad was a retired FBI Special Agent. Not an assassin.
Looks like an ultimate romance movie, right up there with MY COUSIN VINNY.
"Retired Assassins"? Did you even follow the movie properly? Nobody's dad is an ex-FBI agent and that's why Nobody took his badge and gun to the tattoo parlor in the 1st place and RZA also work for some Spec Ops element possibly for the "Company" (Nickname for the CIA) like Nobody is in.
Ready for part2
Any guy that can pop off an M18 Claymore with 1.5 pounds of C4 on the other side police shield and not be turned into a pink mist deserves a sequel.
Where can I see this movie at Can someone please help me asap
I guess John Wick was on the phone at the end calling for help.
The Spade looks like it is upside down? Is it? The 7 of Spades and 2 of Diamonds tattoo.
Lol his brother played by R.Z.A. It’s RZA like 1 word, and he is from the Wu Tang
good movie
I hate to say this but I rewinded that nursing home scene several times when Lloyd’s character blew away those two mobsters with that sawed-off.
I look at where John Wick has left off. He is pronounced dead by high table but him and the king of the underground are going after revenge against the high table. They hear about hutch's reimerision from killing Yulian. So the person on the phone at the end of Nobody was John wick asking for hutch's help. Thats what John Wick Chapter 4 is gonna be about. With like maybe a role for hutch or at least a cameo like Tokyo Drift style at the end.
There's no evidence these films are even in the same Universe.
A current release starring Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) as a CIA sleeper agent (he's a cleaner) who gets back into the game after his home is burgled. Odenkirk is a mild mannered schlub who does the books for a steel refinery. He's persona non grata in his own home where his wife, played by Connie Nielsen, a real estate broker, & his son go about their days as if he didn't exist getting attention only from his doting daughter but one night when a pair of armed thieves break into his home, at first he's more than happy to adhere to their demands handing over some petty cash & whatnot but then his son jumps into fray & when it looks like his son may get hurt, something, for a second, snaps in Odenkirk as he makes a move to thwart the robbery but he thinks better of it. When his daughter remarks about a missing trinket, he visits his aged father, played by Christopher Lloyd, at an old folks home & borrows his FBI badge where he tracks down one of the thieves to a tattoo shop but when he's rebuffed by the proprietor, a customer recognizes a mark on Odenkirk & disappears as if he's seen the devil & in a way he has. When Odenkirk's finally snaps on a public bus, he takes down a contingent of drunk merrymakers (sending nearly all to the hospital) prompting a relative of one of the victims, a Russian money man who guards the mob's bank, to go on a rampage even though Odenkirk's reputation sends shivers down the spines of his subordinates once his identity is established. Produced by the makers of the John Wick series, you get the sense a lot of this story was cobbled together from gags they probably wanted to use in the Reeves films but since this character is more of a tinkerer or trap setter (especially in the last reel), something Wick is not, it felt more organic to this guy but that doesn't mean it works since Odenkirk is the furthermost example of a man of action but that's me, maybe somebody else overcame that hurtle & will love this. Also starring the Rza as one of Odenkirk's old buddies, Colin Salmon as a contact of Odenkirk's & genre great Michael Ironside as Odenkirk's boss.
What is their to explain? The ending is pretty straightforward. He's going back to work as an Auditor.
I was expecting a sequel unfortunately
He has tats of 7&2 as cards. John Wick is woking at under the table while him as a card probably top of the table. They been both manipulated by players.
I have done the "hammer grab" thing on a gun. I do not recommend it. It fucking hurts. I had a bruise for a month. Do not worry. The gun was not loaded and it was not pointed at anything. Just wanted to see. I was young and much alcohol was involved.
Who's the cat is the question🐱🐱🐱
I dont think that there is potential to continue with sequel, more likely because its too similar to John Wick. And also it would probably loose some magic of first movie. I enjoy this movie, however i dont think that there would be any sequel. There is some postcredit scene, but its more like when Nolan mention in last Batman movie possible another sequel with "Robin" - its like when you know what will follow without even seeing it
Re later? Is everything computerized now adays?
I think he's not a assassin like john wick or something, I think he's in a government secret ops that's why the veteran in the tattoo shop says "thank you for your service" after seeing his tattoo, meaning he maybe once worked as soldier or in a elite task force or secret ops team, that are being deployed when the government has no chance of winning(base on his tattoo which 2 and 7 card which is the worst card in poker), and the proof that he once work under the government was in the ending where he's being interrogated and someone higher called the agents to release him. That's what I think.
He tells you exactly what he is in the scene where he crashes the car and the black Russian guy is dying. He was the guy the agencies with 3 letters call in when things go wrong. The point is, he worked for the government but not in an official capacity, so they can disavow his actions and not be held accountable should things get worse.
Sequel idea. Hutch hid a secret from his family. What if his wife also hid a secret. Hutches wife was an amazon in the Avengers. How cool would it be Hutch gets in with no way out and his amazon wife comes in to save the day?
yeeeeeaaaaaah...... no
Who knew Wonder Woman's Step Dad was an Assassin.
@@forickgrimaldus8301 yeah definitely makes sense doesn't it

Kickass movie
Lol, why is it so hard to find a video with correct info?... Hutch wasn’t a retired assassin.
Great and fantastic movie but slow clap if you compare this to john wick
Two police officers getting phone call.. Can you explain that
I just hope this doesn't become a rewrite of Taken...oh the wife gets killed then the daughter then the cat storyline.....
I'm thinking that Hutch is going to be up against more Russian bad guys, maybe higher-ups who want to kill whoever messed with their men - that sort of thing. I don't see Hutch getting back into the "game" so to speak - though who knows? There's a lot of room for all kinds of sequels.
I thought thise was about the ending & post credits scene explined, gee, like the title says which is why I spooled it up. But is a movie review... from the begining. Typical KZhead fill and misleading titles.
3:39 who's real name the girl
You didn't explain the ending.
John wick needs to show up with same wrist tattoo
John wick calls hutch
I dun think he is a assassin even if they are they are probably government agents. As the ending scene shows the government arranging his release and all his files were classified meaning he was a deep undercover agent
Montage? Montij? like vintage?
Hutch's dad wasnt an assassin.
