I'm genuinely impressed with the amount of content we've been getting on the P1, I was expecting one video every 6 months.
Me too... I immediately thought, "we are gunna see an update every blue moon." I look forward to these videos more than any other channel right now.
That seems like it would completely fail to make him a profit on the purchase.
With how much it costs I'm sure he'll be making a lot of videos on it.
@@MumrikDK he will make a profit on the KZhead videos of these P1 series.
I mean he has to recoup the price of this beautiful money pit some how
Hey guys! In the last episode (Part 5) I made a mistake and showed you a preview for Part 7 at the end and not this episode. Sorry about that! Part 7 coming soon, you won't want to miss it!
First do I win a cup of sand from the p1 I am being dead serious
Please bless us with another episode soon
Keep on wrenching. Your an inspiration
thanks for the thoughtful blurring out of some darriere exposure, very well done dude!
:0
I would pay for a whole episode detailing how you're keeping bolts and small parts organized
Lots of ziplock baggies maybe??? That's the only thing I can think of.
Pay someone minimum wage and a 10x40 storage with lots of shelves and sharpies
It seems you have money. Give me some.
I was literally thinking the same thing. How the hell does he catalog all the bolts and parts, it's probably worth a video in itself describing the method.
Exactly what I was thinking! 😵💫
How do you keep all these parts organized? I can only imagine how huge of a job it's going to be putting it all back together.
That's the beauty of filming every step
Agreed. I normally do repairs step by step - fix one thing, before starting on the next. But I currently removed headliner, seats, carpet, sunroof of a Jag at the same time, and now I am busy trying to find the right pots of screws and bolts...
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist2 What does this have to do with this vlog? Spread you bullshit somewhere else. You bible thumpers are the strangest people....
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist2bro we talking about organizing bolts on a P1 not a bible study

We'll see if it actually ever gets done. 🤣
The ambition of this project cannot be overstated. Thanks Freddie for bringing us along....You are amazing!!
If you don't do a final cost breakdown for this car ON THIS CHANNEL like you did for the 675 on the Vinwiki Channel, I swear I am unsubbing... And I bet you don't come out any cheaper here vs a clean car than you did there either....prove me wrong Freddy!!
Which video part did you copy pasta this comment from, 5, 4, 3, 2, or 1?
...a fact that I discovered when restoring 2 classic Corvettes.....cars come apart a lot easier than they go back together!!!
It’s not ambition, it’s STUPIDITY
It may be stupid but he’s getting content. So it’s a win win once it’s finished. Sit back and enjoy
I have been wrenching for over 22 years for different companies and on many diff makes and models and I genuinely value this content. If people only knew the amount of PATIENCE this line of work takes and how long this actually does take. 😱💯
I know barely anything about cars beyond the obvious and just seeing all of the parts getting taken out, I have no idea how you figure out how to put it all back together yet alone a plan for how to fix everything.
I have no particular interest in cars but I'm engrossed in this series for precisely the meticulous detail.
@@BenjaminCronce This is the life of most if not all Mechanics every day .

I cannot express just how impressed i am that you’ve taken on a project as massive as this. Its going to be absolutely incredible when its finished!!
I hope he gets it done but i think IF is still very much on the table
At this point, even a successful youtuber like Tavarish is going to need some massive sponsorships, patreon stuff, gofundme, free McLaren help etc... to even get close to finishing this with any reasonable amount of quality. Even 2+ million views per episode isn't going to cut it. This thing is a disaster and he knows it... but it's AMAZING for the community. IMO, this was a waste all around, but I still enjoy watching!
@@efflux bruh, he has a 5m+ garage. He'll be ok
It's mind blowing just how many things need fixing and how complex this project is not to mention the price of parts as well.
@@pastathemechanic7536dude doesn't realize he hypes up every episode with some clickbait bs and thinks he wouldn't have bought it if he couldn't afford it
A 37 minute video flies by like it's nothing, because of the effort you put into these videos. So great to see you back on your game and loving your work!
You know theres passion when they're burning the midnight oil
I'd take a 3 to 7 minute video on the progress of the S65.
I love that not only are you building a legendary car, but also learning more about McClaren's as well, and getting to see all the behind the scenes and whatnot as well. A whole roundabout project that everyone is getting their hands in to as well. What a collab, what a series!
McClaren? :)
Man, I'm overwhelmed just watching everything as you disassemble the car. Bravo. Keep the vids coming. The entire car community is rooting for you!
Is there someone responsible for remembering where all the pieces go? Tremendous amount of parts and labor. Great job guys.
I was about to ask the exact same thing 😂
I'm assuming that what all the time lapse footage is for. He might also be taking pictures of everything as they are taking it apart, but I didn't see that in the time lapse.
I was thinking the same, it's most definitely gonna take a while putting all that back together, especially after it's been apart for a few months 😮
I'm assuming that after the 675LT and some of the other extensive rebuilds, some lessons have been learned about keeping track of parts...or he just has a big brain.
FWIW, if you EVER do any sized resto... LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of pictures. Those also add to the value of the car when you sell it. Sandwich baggies and a marker keep all the small stuff organized.
I was waiting for this. Hereby I donate 40min of my life

the level of optimism throughout these series is admirable. you sir have a patience of a monk and very determined person. its depressing to see no end to see more issues and faults with this car as we progress through the videos I am hoping for a well worth ending and happy conclusion.
I think my favorite part about your channel is that you guys always manage to have some fun and have some laughs. Even with something like this, where the tear down has to be so tedious and tiring, ya'll are still having fun.
If you ever come across a pressurised hydraulic system, you will need more protection than just safety glasses. Try and put as much of a shield as possible between you and whatever you are trying to undo to prevent oil penetrating your skin and entering the bloodstream. Keep up the good work. Loving the series so far!
A normal commet wow
I saw a thing about those kind of wounds. Apparently they are one of the worst. Some of the pictures won't leave my brain
I was about to comment about this - Hydraulic Injection is *extremely* dangerous. It’s often a salvageable situation, but it absolutely REQUIRES immediately going to the ER. Any kind of delay will quickly take an uncomfortable situation and turn it into a deadly one. It often doesn’t hurt that much when hydraulic injection happens, but without immediate medical care, the hydraulic fluid being pumped around your body will very quickly kill you. There’s a reason that most hydraulic injection related deaths/amputated fingers/limbs are due to the victim not seeking medical care. To anyone that sees it, *please* take extreme precautions when it comes to dealing with hydraulic systems. They can be extremely dangerous.
Best thing with hydraulic leaks is it can be the smallest hole making an almost invisible stream. Source: aerospace engineering qualifications. Good layman’s style video is Hydraulic Press channel recently did one with ballistic gel - it’s nasty!
As someone working in an ER who occasionally gets some saws and crush injuries, you've added something to my wish list 😅
I was worried about your P1 engine blowing as your 675 did, but later in the video, you addressed the plans to take care of the failure points! This is really unfolding in all the right ways
As unfortunate as that was I'm glad it was a learning experience so he doesn't have to make that mistake with a much more costly engine
I really hope he doesn't have to do engine out again. This engine out process looks like a pain in the ass.

Hugely watchable and entertaining content Freddie...... thank you. Can’t wait to see the project develop and get road ready. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with big projects. @@deandalapandayou’ll be wrong man. The market is insane for these cars and having the provenance of the rebuild on video and it being the infamous P1 that was basically delivery miles, left for dead, and resurrected. Make sure both you and the P1 stay safe with this storm headed Florida’s way… hate for another hurricane to get it!
I think you should do a video to explain how you keep all the parts and screws straight when doing a tear down like this. I have no idea how you would ever put that all back together without forgetting a lot of little clips and bolts.
I struggle to keep track when taking apart a benchtop power supply or something simple at work. Couldn't begin to imagine doing a whole car!

Just play the video in reverse /s
Some of the bolts don't exist anymore thanks to the grinder lol
The best part. Even when things look absolutely horrible and take bad turns. These guys laugh through it and don’t let it bring their mood down. This will lead to the success of this project. The world is rooting for you 🙏🏾👏🏾

yea because the video views pay for the car. He is VERY hedged in this build. If something goes wrong he makes a video on it and boom, problem solved. If I could leverage myself this safely id laugh too
Yeah but that's because Freddie stole this shell because he got a good p1 shell with a usable engine and when finished is gonna have equity, their gonna be laughing with a moded p1 straight to the bank. ONCE ALL THE PARTS ARE EQUIRED❤
I really look forward to the P1 updates and enjoy the content. I am interested in learning how you manage to keep track of the disassembly of the P1 from a point of view of keeping all parts, screws bolts etc together so that you get it right when it's time to put it all back together. Like other subscribers, maybe a special video sometime to show how you do it ?
Freddie, you and your team are a machine! Most would walk away, but you keep chomping through this build! 👊

As much as I’m really loving and enjoying this series of the P1 project i found out from a reliable source that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust.

Ricardo worker here: I look after the 2 dyno cells when mechanically they require fixing. Every engine gets a 37 minute BIPO (break in pass off) cycle. That cycle was optimised over 8-10 years down to that time frame to ensure all components are broken in properly. It gets a warm up, full power run and cam swing in that and it’s ready to go 👌🏼it’s then a strict pass or fail and off to rework or PDI/Delivery to Mclaren in Woking
