Pasta All'amatricana is a very classic Italian pasta dish that goes back years and years. It's one of those pasta dishes, much like carbonara, that is so beautifully simple, but delivers no matter what mood you’re in, or what time of year it is. This is an absolute must have in the repertoire - give it a go, you won't look back!
Gennaro in Italy
Gennaro doing what the Italians do best - sourcing good ingredients and making simple, bold dishes with little effort and time involved.
Rather than cut these videos right down, we have left them a little longer and kept them relaxed. We think watching Gennaro in Italy is a glorious thing, and Gennaro does such a great job at being both inspiring and entertaining. So sit back and enjoy these as they roll out - we would love to know what you think.

  • I like the mentality of Mediterranean people! Hot tempered, very expressive, warmhearted and their dishes reflect the flavors of the hot and sunny climate!

  • Idea for this year's April Fool's video: a behind the scenes interview with Genarro where he's dubbed by a voice actor with a lower tone, totally neutral accent, and introduces himself as Johnathan Bigsby, the actor who plays the character Gennaro Contaldo on the reality TV KZhead channel, Jamie Oliver's Food Tube. And he alludes in his interview that other people from the channel are just characters as well. Let me know what you guys think lol

  • OH! Is THIS pasta all"amatricana? Awe-some! It was sooooo easy. Now i can do it too! Thank u Gennaro! This dish has a cool name. Amatricana is a nice word. I love italy! I wanna go there traveling before i get too old. Rome seems awe-some! Travelling around Italy, eating great food, meeting italians, going to markets, swimming in the Mediterranean sea.... Eating real gelato.... Wow, it's a big dream! Peace!
