If you've been living with quadriplegia from a spinal cord injury (SCI) or with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), you may qualify for the PRIME Study.

The PRIME Study (short for Precise Robotically Implanted Brain-Computer Interface) - a groundbreaking investigational medical device trial for our fully-implantable, wireless brain-computer interface (BCI) - aims to evaluate the safety of our implant and surgical robot, and assess the initial functionality of our BCI for enabling people with quadriplegia to control external devices with their thoughts.
This study involves placing a small, cosmetically invisible implant in a part of the brain that plans movements. The device is designed to interpret a person’s neural activity, so they can operate a computer or smartphone by simply intending to move - no wires or physical movement are required.
This research will be the first of its kind to be performed in people and may help us find safer, more effective ways to implant and use our BCI to potentially restore and enhance computer control and other capabilities.

I watched my Mom slowly degrade from ALS for 10 years. The hardest part was communication. This was 25 years ago. We talked with a letter board I had created. I learned that in the English language there are only so many words that follow certain words. Once we were in a subject then we could "talk" for hours. She could hear just fine, she couldn't express and knowledge externally. I could hold her hand and feel the directions she wanted to be guided to. Her eyes would declare Yes/No. Neuralink would have been a blessing because as her muscles quit working her mind was quite vivid until the very end.

That chip synced to advanced artificial limbs will make the process of controlling movements much easier. One of my old military buddies would've signed up for this for sure.
Elon has stated on X that Optimus will help with this as his limbs can be prosthetics for humans who have lost theirs.
what happened to ur buddyy
Sorry to hear what happened to your friend. Must be hard and I want to see this chip do amazing things for people who need help. I read many things that AI is gonna take over jobs and more . We as a species need to merge with AI so this doesn’t happen. However, I would say it’s one’s matter of choice if they want to of course. Ray Kurzweil says we should merge with AI because than we can enhance ourselves and any issues happening in our brain whether its a mental disorder or physical issue that can be fixed. Hopefully these upgrades come out soon. We’ll see what the future of this Neuralink chip enables us to do. I am excited and I hope it does amazing things for humanity🥳🤩 Just wanted to add that if this Neuralink chip can provide a utopia that can be inserted in our minds that would be just so amazing. The majority of people who suffered from any trauma or anything serious can finally experience bliss and inner peace in their mind/brain:)

Sometimes I wish I would've died on that accident since I'm totally dependent on my mother and she's a mascular distrophy paitent too and got her brain tumor opration in 2019 and she barely walk... She feed me she brush my teeth and of course all' the bathroom stuff everyone have abandoned me except her .. life is not having mercy on me wouldn't I trade everything to be able to at least take care of myself?? Yes this is not good for normal person but for disabled people it would second life if it succeed.💜 I wish you good 🙏

Dear neuralink , when will neuralink will be available for people with schizophrenia?
My grandmother suffered from ALS. Communication was very difficult, and it was heartbreaking to see her brain working so well, but the body not following along. We attempted eye tracking, but even her eyes became too weak and she would get insanely tired from trying to focus her eyes for the tracking to be good. I suspect this could have been a game changer.

We are waiting for you to succeed for all mankind.
The potential for it to be cool is there, but you'd have to be in REAL rough shape to sign up for the first one.
I read in an article that a company is trying to reproduce images of what we observe, so the image is reproduced on the computer through AI, it would be cool to take photographs with the mind of what we observe and sent to the cell phone or computer.
I'm sure there'll be plenty willing to participate
Nobel worthy for having enough comprehension to teach or at least point to the entanglement of civilization through the infrastructures built with a standard. Occult for example.

Neuralink will lead to new types of games. I predict "mind wrestling" (which will be like arm wrestling but the competitors are trying to move objects wirelessly connected to their brains). May the strongest mind win.
