If you've been living with quadriplegia from a spinal cord injury (SCI) or with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), you may qualify for the PRIME Study.

The PRIME Study (short for Precise Robotically Implanted Brain-Computer Interface) - a groundbreaking investigational medical device trial for our fully-implantable, wireless brain-computer interface (BCI) - aims to evaluate the safety of our implant and surgical robot, and assess the initial functionality of our BCI for enabling people with quadriplegia to control external devices with their thoughts.
This study involves placing a small, cosmetically invisible implant in a part of the brain that plans movements. The device is designed to interpret a person’s neural activity, so they can operate a computer or smartphone by simply intending to move - no wires or physical movement are required.
This research will be the first of its kind to be performed in people and may help us find safer, more effective ways to implant and use our BCI to potentially restore and enhance computer control and other capabilities.

  • I watched my Mom slowly degrade from ALS for 10 years. The hardest part was communication. This was 25 years ago. We talked with a letter board I had created. I learned that in the English language there are only so many words that follow certain words. Once we were in a subject then we could "talk" for hours. She could hear just fine, she couldn't express and knowledge externally. I could hold her hand and feel the directions she wanted to be guided to. Her eyes would declare Yes/No. Neuralink would have been a blessing because as her muscles quit working her mind was quite vivid until the very end.

We as a species need to merge with AI so this doesn’t happen. However, I would say it’s one’s matter of choice if they want to of course. Ray Kurzweil says we should merge with AI because than we can enhance ourselves and any issues happening in our brain whether its a mental disorder or physical issue that can be fixed. Hopefully these upgrades come out soon. We’ll see what the future of this Neuralink chip enables us to do. I am excited and I hope it does amazing things for humanity🥳🤩 Just wanted to add that if this Neuralink chip can provide a utopia that can be inserted in our minds that would be just so amazing. The majority of people who suffered from any trauma or anything serious can finally experience bliss and inner peace in their mind/brain:)

She feed me she brush my teeth and of course all' the bathroom stuff everyone have abandoned me except her .. life is not having mercy on me wouldn't I trade everything to be able to at least take care of myself?? She has a full time job & it's hard on both of us & my grandparents are in their 80s and aren't able to help. I went through a long depression and wondered why God didn't take me like he did so many of my friends and family even my mom. Everyday has its struggles but when I get depressed I think of children that are born with disabilities & never get to have the experiences we enjoyed. Never feel sorry for yourself, you didn't die that day for a reason you have a purpose in this world even if u can't see it or understand it yet. Trust me as much as u need your mother she needs u as well. Trust me I know the pain of having to depend on someone for everything but always remember Your a warrior! Many people couldn't manage the struggles we deal with daily but here we are pushing on day after day. God bless u I pray u find happiness 🙏

  • I wonder if this could be linked up to an AI voice generation system so people that can't talk/communicate actually can again via thought, there's some amazing voice generation capabilities out there now, just a matter of interpreting the thought and turning it into voice, shouldn't be too hard 😂 one can dream! Even though this tech is amazing, I'm sure it's still super frustrating to have to think to move a pointer around to select letters to type when you just have what you want to say already in your head.

  • Neuralink will lead to new types of games. I predict "mind wrestling" (which will be like arm wrestling but the competitors are trying to move objects wirelessly connected to their brains). May the strongest mind win.
