Neuralink Live Update - March 2024

This live demo shares the experience of a participant enrolled in the PRIME Study. The PRIME Study - an investigational medical device trial for our fully implantable, wireless brain-computer interface (BCI) - aims to evaluate the safety of our implant and surgical robot, and assess the initial functionality of our BCI for enabling people with quadriplegia to control external devices with their thoughts. We do not guarantee any benefit by participating in the PRIME Study.

He could make a decent buck, answer more questions about implant, how it changed his day to day life + he seems quite charismatic, so that wouldn't be just "wow, this is the Neuralink guy!". The only thing standing in the way is that Neuralink probably doesn't want him to share more info with the public without consulting them first.

I’m a fan of people thriving, not just existing. Sure, existence is great, but it’s not enough for most people. I personally quit video games in college to make room for things more meaningful to me. Everybody is different though- I’ve learned not to judge a man by his hobbies so long as they are good for him and his life.

    • @@bobsaget9675 I wrote a comment before but KZhead seems to have lost it. It said something like think about your favorite hobbies which bring you the most happiness and are a nice break that refresh you. Now imagine you could never do it again without extensive support and reliance on others. Whatever it may be, maybe golfing, shooting guns, going to the movies, archery, hiking, fishing, swimming, or even video games. I don’t know your life. Imagine you lost the ability to do these things, and then one day a technology restored it. You would probably be pretty happy. If you hate games and think you are better than gamers fine, that’s your judgment, I haven’t gamed since 2008 but it used to bring joy in a hard time in my life. So I get where this guy is coming from and clearly you don’t. Just because you don’t understand someone doesn’t make you better than them.
