    • The only player who matched his championship numbers was Tim Duncan (5-1). Tim vs Kobe was a hell of a duel man ! Detroit and Boston were the only teams who beat him in the playoffs like the way they did in the 1980s (1984 and 1989). Both cities were their huckleberry (a match for the Lakers historically).

    • I saw most of the laker games live on tv during the Kobe gasol era and the western conference had crazy good deep teams. Lakers had a good starting 5 but a weak bench in comparison and the lakers would frequently be up 10-20 points and lose it quickly when the bench came on. The fact that Kobe won back to back with this team in this period shows just how good Kobe was. He’s the most skilled and toughest player I’ve ever seen.

And 2010 WCF GAME 6 VS SUNS with so many CLUTCH SHOTS. AND ALL THAT WITH BROKEN INDEX FINGER ON SHOOTING HAND and with Pau Gasol as only 20/10 guy and All star. Unlike Lebron and Kd and Harden who jump ship from teams to teams and gettiing superstar after superstar. That is why i respect more guys like Giannis, Jokić, Buttler, and before Dirk Nowitzki.

    • Those Bulls teams didn't have 2 7 footers in the paint, and a 6'10 forward who could handle the ball post up and shoot. That being said Kobe like to operate from the same areas that MJ operated from during their championship runs and the system they ran was the Triangle offense. So those would be the similarities.@@TheUnpopularPerspective

You pair those guys with Dennis Rodman at PF and you have defensive length and size down low similar to the Lakers. Scottie Pippen was a 6'8 Forward that could handle the ball, score, and play defense at will. Then they had 6'11 forward Toni Kukoc who could stretch the floor. Not to mention a 6'6 defensive Ron harper at Point Guard in comparison to the Lakers smaller Derrick Fisher. So, brother please cut the bullshit. The Bulls had length on the perimeter and the paint.

    • @@TheUnpopularPerspective...the rockets series may reach game 7 but for me that houston team was not leathal for me its like lakers could finish them early but luck happen....the nuggets team make me fear literaly kobe guarding prime melo whos bigger and paint bully...billups, prime anderson, smith jr etc its a great match up...but of course nothing stops kobe that yr went mamba mode in game 6

    • I would argue that it has devolved. Honestly, unwatchable for the majority. It's boring.... way too easy to score, and just bland af these days. I watch it because I'm a bball nerd. Regular people could care less...

  • Just randomly got recommended this and watched the end where Kobe won the MVP... David Stern announcing it, Bill Russell handing the trophy to Kobe, Stuart Scott interviewing him. I was smiling so big for him and then it just randomly hit me that every single one of them is gone now, far too soon. RIP to them all, and respect for Kobe, what a legend and what a career.

  • Tbh the lakers were better of with ariza. Artest had great moments but his defense wasn’t close to what it was and he was a liability on offense at times. People try to claim bynum was this great big man(he had potential) but he wasn’t that great and he was hurt this season. Odom was inconsistent, and pau learned a lot from kobe and he came up big but even with the horrible shooting kobe was still their best player by far AND he was the best player on the floor in game 7. If you know basketball you know this

  • Game 6 against the Suns actually made Steve Nash cry. They did everything right in terms of defense. Kobe's offense just buried them down the stretch.

  • Man look at the final score to some of these games! Kobe was putting up numbers when teams still cared about defense. Teams are dropping 115pts or more every night without bothering to try on D.
