Bonjour à tous, this week Terry takes Tracy shopping in her first brocante (Antqiue store) but soon starts to regret it when the items start piling up that they have to buy 🤦😂

About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

    • Scrub those lamps up and put another coat of Osmo on the wood part and they will glow I think they're perfect!! Very well chosen and I like that chandelier I did not see it in the earlier part of the video but I like that too it will go well. U2 made a good team in choosing things that were not vastly overpriced! Thank you so much for sharing!! ❤ 😂 🎉

    • The blue and white would look good in the bathroom.. with the porcelain light dishes at first wasn't keen but yes. But that gold is yuk , definitely ends toning down ..

  • I definitely picked the green light . it's gorgeous. The mirror is perfect, but can i suggest you put some small chain on the back of large part to the wall so it can't fall forward. Tracy is looking younger and happier 😊

    • I was going to say something about anchoring the mirror down so if someone bumps the table it doesn't fall over and break. It's so beautiful I would be crushed to see something happen to it.

  • Loved that oak & galvanised metal bar/kitchen. It would make an amazing boot room in the chateau, for cut flower arranging etc from the garden.

    • Oh yeah it would or in the basement for the laundry room maybe. Or out in the room they used to use as a kitchen when they were living in the campers. Use it as a bar if they make that a recreational room.

  • Pls think about buying the other venesian mirror for the bathroom. It is a little big, but you have very high ceilings, so it should look great! And it makes a perfect duo with the dressing table one

  • The blue and white ceiling light gave me Versace vibes from the 1980’s. (The fashion designer not the French palace!) I do agree with Ash that those lamps might have originally been table legs, they have that vibe. The shades are lovely. Going shopping with your mum is dangerous, you encourage each other. I’m not surprised Ash was worried! 😂

  • Love everything you have done and are doing! Please keep in mind that guests need places to put their stuff so don't overstuff all the flat places. Less is more in guest tabletop space. BTW, those console tables and marble tops are incredible!

  • When you find exactly the perfect piece, pay the price. Eat oatmeal for supper for months if you have to, but the perfect thing will not be available next week. The carved silver 3 panel mirror for the bathroom IS perfect. My bath started with a mirror very much like this one. I paid a lot for it, but it is still perfect, and I am very happy to have it. A small shelf with pretty iron brackets completes it high enough for 6 ft me. Shower tile and floor and cabinets go with. It took years to find them all. I smile every time I see them.

  • Love your purchases. Think you should have got the Venetian mirror. Don't think it would be too big. Also the very unusual chandelier between the pair of lanterns outside. That would be a good purchase.

  • One thing you can do about the hall mirror is find a perfect frame and have a mirror cut to fit. I’m in love with the table mirror you found.
