Yeah Ash kinda sucks having non evolved Pokémon for like 2/3 of the entire series. When you see a level 47 totodile, you usually think of Pokémon mystery dungeon. @@ladyriethegoldendelmo5441 tbh I haven’t followed the anime since Johto, and maybe a bit of Hoenn. So I know general things, but not enough to be super informed. But I do think it’s about time they replace ash. You can only be 10 years old for so long
It always erked the fuck out of me in the anime. They literally give you all three starters in the two first seasons and I understand the whole "it's up to them" thing but it's just absolute wasted potential and becomes tiresome after awhile too. You can say it's the power of friendship all you want but facts are facts. Your non evolved mons are shit compared to their fully evolved forms and the only reason you manage to win at all is plot armor
I'd love to see you continue this series, I know EtU also did this series, but you have an episode by episode breakdown, and you're just funnier imho

Yeah it was really rough, but at least it wasn’t a nuzlocke lol. And the content I create will always be clean, pokemon should be family friendly IMO.

These are a fun watch! I look forward to Hoenn and hope the others are possible; most of the runs will probably be less agonizing, since more of his Pokémon start to evolve over time.
I think they should be possible. I’m already working on the Hoenn sprites, but it’ll probably be a few months till part three comes out.
I love this series, I do hope you eventually mod the later games so they’ll be more anime accurate like you said, especially gens 4 and 6 will be super fun to watch

There is an episode in johto where they encounter Sudowoodo. I can't remember when, im rewatching the show now, and I started hoenn last week. But Johto does have a Sudowoodo episode.

Ash's Cyndaquil (Crystal) - Lazy, gentle, can't use Flamethrower not before warming up. Sunny's Cyndaquil/Quilava (HeartGold Nuzlocke) - Is heavily breathing all the time, the heavily traumatized starter Pokémon, and is friendly with every Pokémon in Sunny's team, he mastered Fire Blast and did Voltorb Flip with Sunny, the survivor and MVP of the dreaded Whitney battle. Togepi/ Togetic (Supposedly Misty's friend, but was given as a special occasion for the Nuzlocke, warrior of the Morty battle)
Ash did actually see a Sudowoodo in jotoh it was this episode where Ash need to cross the river and this old guy would give him a ride if he brought him a Sudowoodo so his daughter can study it, plus ash actually had a team of heracross snorlax charizard torirose muk and bayleaf in the silver conference

Love the videos but the ash Gary race happened on the way to mahogany town. Not on the way to goldenrod. Ashs chikorita had evolved by that point.
Between type disadvantages and pokemon that never evolve you've really made me question Ashs skill as a trainer 😂 Edit: always despised Whitneys battle but at the same time its nice to actually get a challenge in Pokemon at times 34:20 dude no need to apologize for using status moves you gotta do what you gotta do to win 💯

It does. In the early gens light ball doubled pikas special attack, and then later generations included regular attack too. But my pikachu was doing way to much damage to not have a boost.

8:10 - Mind-blowing how closely you’re managing to sync up modded game to show so well. I would’ve just learned Coin Case and PC exploits to have Cyndaquil and Totodile pre-benched on a “fresh” file and pulled them out after clearing the Gym before Ash were to put them on roster.

Were it me, I would’ve just Time Capsuled the freebie Kanto Starters and Pikachu (as mint as I could get away with) from a fresh file of Yellow and used Charmander as a desperation option had Pikachu and Chikorita somehow (somehow!) not be enough to muscle past Falkner on their own.

You’re right, that plot Lance fight was 100% plot armor, I’m lucky it worked out tbh. But I was so tired of the elite 4 at that point, I just wanted to be done. The will fight killed me

@Nuzlocke Joe I don't remember what exactly he says but he says something along the lines of "[rival] stole a Pokémon from me, and I'm still rattled by it. Can you please take this Pokémon to keep it safe?" before giving you the Shuckle, and the next time you see the rival after that is when he first has his Sneasel, which is also way too low level to have come from Mt. Silver, so either he bred it from a Sneasel he got elsewhere (which why would he do that) or more likely that's the Pokémon that was stolen from the Shuckle guy.

@@NuzlockeJoe Yes the blaziken & keckleon could be replaced by a hitmonlee and magmar/Typhlosion w/ fire punch and a Girafarig (confusion)/ghastly line (lick/hypnosis). Don’t get me wrong I’ve always wanted to play in regards of the anime so I truly love your product!

To be honest, I actually wish that Pokemon Crystal incorporated anime events into the games in the same manner as Yellow. For instance, have Kris/Gold start off with a Pikachu that follows you and make all of the Johto starters available in the same routes/towns Ash got them in the anime. Also, update the wild pokemon/gym leader`s pokemon to match the anime.

I cheated and used PK Hex. I couldn’t wait until I got to Ecrutreak because I had to use them in gym battles before then, so I just imported the whole box of Pokémon.
