    • @@joealbarella2493There is a big difference between "dominating with your strengths" and avoiding adversity and avoiding the fight. "Dominating with strengths" can also be applied to Max Holloway. Big difference between that fight and Aljo. Aljo is boring as hell, loves to milk the "hands on mat rule" and fights like a coward. Before you call me a casual and tell me to watch kickboxing, no. YOU go watch wrestling 😂 And make sure you call 90% of the folks in the arena who were booing "casuals" also. It was UFC 300. People want to see a spectacle. While I respect the technical aspects of many grapplers, I don't have to enjoy watching, and folks like you who "demand" someone appreciate wrestlers who stall the clock, never advance position, and do everything they can to AVOID adversity, is laughable. I have been watching UFC since there were no weight classes, and shoes/gi were allowed. Go back to ancient Rome. Even back then, the crowd booed when action stalled. Only then the fighters would be lowered into a pit of spikes and consumed by Lions. Aljo, and Khabib would be dead back then. ISLAM is everything Khabib never was. A dominant grappler AND entertaining with scary ground and pound. The only time he looked cowardly in his career was the 3rd round in the Volk fight. Please stop coping for cowardly fighters. There are rules to protect your grapplers from strikes, there are NO rules to protect strikers from your boring grapplers. This is changing as we speak. "Lay and pray" and tremendous grip strength will be exposed for what it is. A cowardly gimmick. Laying on another dude with no Internet of advancing, and watching the clock is the opposite of fighting.😂

    • Same! 😂 I had no interest - none. My boyfriend had rented a movie for me & the 1st UFC for him. I was annoyed (I’d never had any interest in watching any “fight” except for Mike Tyson boxing). By the end I was rooting for the guy I referred to as “the little guy”. I couldn’t believe how this man fought! It was like watching numerous animals all wrapped up in 1 man! He moved almost like a monkey, he would wrap himself around the larger men like a boa constrictor & every move he made fascinated me. I was hooked! I’d never heard of BJJ & had never watched a smaller man dominate much larger men & do it in a manner that wasn’t what I perceived as violent. As I type this I can remember how so many of us looked forward to going to Blockbuster on Friday/Saturday evening hoping that there would be good videos available to rent because they only had a few copies of each movie they rented out - at least that’s how it was in our area. & how excited we would get when a new release was still on the shelf when we’d get there. Anyway, after watching it the 1st time, I was bugging my boyfriend to rent the 2nd UFC & how disappointed I was to hear that the 2nd one was not available on VHS yet 😂. A few fights later we were hosting friends for the PPV. At that time I believe it was only $19.99.

Can Alex knock aspinal out, 100%. Just don’t forget that aspinal is miles ahead of anyone Alex has faced. He’s got ground game which he will use and 1 bad lose like aspinal takes Alex down and subs him now makes Alex sell lower ppvs.

    • Izzy is a dangerous counter striker, Alex is maybe the most dangerous, but he also puts himself into alot more danger/utilizes aggression to set up. Adesanya has been able to hurt him before, that fight he was motivated, and juiced up, enough to get the lights out. Cutting water weight makes the body alot less resilient to the shot you don't see coming, i don't think it would've cut it at 205, even with gyno activated.

  • These 3 guys advocating for Juliana Pena to get the next title shot is why analysts should never be friends with the fighters. Pena hasn't won a fight in 2 and half years and hasn't even fought since July 2022. She does not deserve a title shot at all. Let her win a fight first.

  • I’ve been watching since Tito vs Chuck days and a hardcore fan since 2005 and the TUF 1 finale… This was the single best card I’ve ever seen. The “issue” I have with it, is that so many great performances are going to get over shadowed I.E. Jiri and moicano

  • Interesting fact- All of Silva's opponents he fought when he stepped up to light heavy all popped for illegal substances after the fight. But why would you not mention Silva stepping up in weight to fight Griffin (who had only just lost the title) rather than Bonnar and Irvin (I know Irvin was first).

  • I had the same exact reaction to the finish of Max vs Justin. Max has been my favorite fighter since before the pettis fight. I was extremely nervous for this fight and I (like most of the world) thought Max was severely out gunned. Boy was I ever wrong. But now that I look back I knew that Max was one of the best boxers in the game and Justin is mostly power, so Max picking him apart should’ve been considered an option all along. Never would’ve guessed that he would hurt Justin multiple times and then face plant him at 4:59 though! I stood and yelled in my living room like a mad man while my wife and kids were asleep already 😂

  • If the UFC keeps being smart with the BMF, it really could start eclipsing actual titles. Ur guaranteed to get a banger out of the BMF, it just stole the show at 300, where the main event also had a monster KO.

  • Where's Sergei Pavlovich at? He would lose nothing by taking a short notice fight against Pereira in Brazil on 3 weeks notice. If he loses, it's no big deal. Losing against Aspinall and Pereira back to back won't totally destroy his stock. He still stays in the top 10 at HW. However, if Pavlovich wins, he solidifies his standing as a dangerous striker who took out one of the biggest MW/LHW stars in the sport.
