Seriously. When he first came to the UFC Adesanya had already lapped the division so I thought they were just desperate for new contenders so they brought someone that previously beat him. Little did I know he would become one of the most dominate and exciting fighters in UFC history.

@@digg_7 this right here. khamzat was suppose to be 2 weight champ running through everyone but then he almost lost to gilbert and kumaru(in the end), and derailed his hype. still a good fighter but not finishing former champs like alex is doing. imo alex would kill khamzat at 205. alex is very very strong to nullify khamzats wrestling and on standup they are worlds apart
Alex is so captivating because he doesn't do too much, other fighters need to scream and shout, do silly things to gain attention, Alex just trains, chills with his people, and KO's opponents. Simple.
So many fighters lost their authenticity with trash talk and other ways of promoting their brand that he stands out even more.
He doesn’t do much but he still does a whole hell of a lot more than anybody else in the division

Now I am 22 years old and of course I have seen other great fighters like Jon Jones , but no one is like Poatan. I will tell my kids about him and how dominant and powerful he was. Truly a fighter who inspires me in the ring and outside the ring, he awoke my love for the sport. Thank you Alex. CHAMA

I grew up watching Anderson Silva he was my favorite fighter and after hearing the crouds noise and seeing how insane their love and admiration was for him when he defended his belt in Rio for the first time against Okami, it was absolutely mesmerizing and awe-inspiring !!! Ever since then, my favorite fight night and ppv location has been Brazil! The love and energy is unreal! I can't wait to visit one day hopefully soon 😊

Just nobody like the guy. Maybe the most mentally based, focused, immune to distraction fighter I've seen in MMA. Certainly the UFC.
It really is wild. He still has the ability to let loose and relax, but when it comes time to train, get warmed up and fight his focus is razor sharp like you said and he’s 💯 percent in the zone and nothing is taking his mind off the game plan

There will never be another Alex. This dude is such a monster in the fight game and I think most will be surprised when someone does get him to the ground. He's not what he used to be. Alex has come a long ways and has been taught and rolled with the elite. Everyone will say it takes years to perfect the ground game and maybe that's true but to someone who understands how to fight like Aelx and has his athletic ability, I can see him exceeding quickly. Wish this dude nothing but the best. True warrior and champion across multiple disciplines.
I bet he can give almost anybody a run for their money in grappling as well. Ppl will be shocked! Alex even said himself that he is willing to accept grappling/ BJJ matchups like open mat challenges
