Just got an email from Pressy regarding lacking sound functionality through phone speaker. Here's the email... "Hey Lewis, thanks for posting the video about Pressy! We were pleasantly surprised to see it online =] Just a quick note, that (as you noticed...) a bug with Android 6.0 does prevent sound from playing while Pressy is inserted - but that is NOT the intended or normal behavior. Obviously, that would render Pressy as a pretty useless gadget... Luckily, we already have a working version with that bug fixed which is going live this week. You should definitely update the app and give it another chance cause it rocks :) Guess our timing is horribly wrong here with your video going live today, but better late than never I suppose. Their app actually makes it so audio keeps getting routed as if nothing was plugged in, so speaker/BT will still work fine.

+apdm actually no. i use this kind of thing. the chinese version of it. it works seamlessly. the speaker still working normally. it's totally useful to have shortcut button. i use it to turn on my flashlight, disable screen timeout, and to take picture instantly (or secretly :D) it just bother me when i want to use headphone, since i have to take it out and it's so tiny. and it only cost like 1-2 bucks

I am actually surprised you only got it now. You are usually the first to get some thing unboxed, but this (the original Xiaomi MiKey) is available for than 3 years now.
The essential function that needs a one-press trigger is to activate the voice recorder. The iPAQ Pocket PC used this feature, and it was great when driving. If I need to take note of something, I would like to press a button and then talk, without having to activate the phone, go through menus, and then talk.

You might want to test the Xiaomi version of Pressy. They call it Xiaomi Mi Key, sell it for $1 and it seems to be working better than the one shown. Also it allows for up to ten clicks, and has no limits on the action a click could trigger.

MSwitch is an alternative app that works well. i use it, only to switch my phone in to speaker mode(so it ignores the headphone jack) since my phone has shortcuts built in(play pause flashlight and other things)

I just realized that the thumbnail of the GS7 the speaker and the headphone jack are switched.
I don't listen to music on my phone, but it is silly you can't use the speakers at all with this thing.

maybe the app is messing it, im using this for almost an year now, the app i use is keycut or mswitch. it asks whether it is a pressy or headphone each time something is plugged, if u choose headphone, everything works normally but choosing pressy routs the audio through the speaker. try that app lew

tbh i havent finished watching the video yet but by time this is done or what ever i would have... but idk just a wolf thought....can you set the sensitivity on the button itself ... soo uh for example flash light is one press correct then about a second or 2 delay till it turns the function on but what if its lets say 1press hold for a second or 2 then release, followed by the 1-2 second function delay. OR one quick press then the function delay ?? i dont know if that makes sense but umm. so example 2 being the camera function you used in the video you had it set to 2 "clicks" but u said you had to do it within relatively quick succession or you open the flash light function. soo setting the camera setting to lets say 1click (hold 1sec & release) then 2click (hold 1second & release) then i guess that would be followed up by the 1-2second command process for the camera function. but in my head i feel like that would lower the odds of activating the flash light function or whatever function u have set to 1click. OR you set it for 2clicks but you try to hold the button for 1/2 second in between the first and second click while still clicking twice in relative succession. ? so if you you were to lets say have 5 extra commands set up on the button and u have them all set to different clicks or what not you lower the chance of opening or running a command you didnt want ? or i just thought of this, you have the button set to lock or unlock your device using 1click and held down for 10-20seconds (MAX) that way you lower the risk of the phone opening in your pocket or it clicking sequences in your pocket or bag and secretly opening apps ect. Thats just a thought or theory on the product seems cool and useful in more then one aspect i guess... i dont understand it having to be in the headphone jack tho :/ im a music lover i need that hole ...
