    • Most of these fighters are NOT thinking of the things Dan Hardy credits them for. Most fighters just fight without a setup plan(s) and even fewer actually exploit discovered weaknesses. This is mostly bullshit. They just wing it most of the time and these fight analyzers make more out of these tapes than are really there.

  • Something worth mentioning is that Adesanya weighs 195 lbs in fight shape and said that he’s not putting on any weight for this fight. So chances are, he’ll probably weigh in at around 200 lbs and weigh the same amount in the cage. Whereas Jan Blachowicz has the build of a heavyweight and easily weighs over 220 lbs in the cage. So there’s most likely going to be a 20 lb size disparity between them when they fight. There’s levels to this game but weight classes also exist for a reason. This fight is gonna be super interesting.

    • @@lkywrlk8532 Those are their walk around weights but in the cage they’re about 210 lbs. Jan Blachowicz is defo near the 225 mark in the cage when you consider that Jones was 223 in the octagon against Gus. The weight class someone moved up from is often irrelevant because even Rumble was a welterweight. All you can look at is what they weigh on fight night because Thiago Santos was a completely standard sized LHW when he fought Jan. Everything else I agree on. Izzy has to be perfect for whole fight to not get ran over, and he can.

  • This is my first time seeing Dan break down a fight and he is so thorough and detailed. I'll be watching these every time from now on. Very informative and entertaining. Great job, Dan! I met Dan at the weigh ins for UFC 108 in Memphis, TN. Obviously we had a brief interaction, but he was nice. It's nice to see him share his knowledge like this. Enjoy this fight, everyone, and may the better fighter win! Peace and love to you all.

    • Jan won't pull shit like that. He doesn't like fighting form his back. He only goes for it if he takes the back of his opponent in the process. Most of his losses were due to mediocre conditioning at the time and getting controlled on the ground after he got tired.

  • As someone who surfs, I loved your analogy at 13:12, dan. I feel the same way about fighting as you do about surfing. I don't know as much about fighting and that's why I love listening to your breakdowns. You illustrate the routes and courses of fighting and MMA that I just am not aware of or don't often spot in real-time. Beautifully articulated!

  • If jan wins I really wanna see a breakdown on how his striking is also a bad match up for adesanya. Something I took from the Reyes fight is that Jan knew Reyes was a good and powerful striker and he was letting Reyes come to him Izzy will have to come forward at one point. In my opinion it’s a good fight and I think it’s a harder fight for Izzy than people realize.

    @abe2great128@abe2great1283 жыл бұрын
    • But Reyes is realms away from Adesanya, not comparable. I think Jan will get teased in like they all do. Nobody wants to be the next Romero

      @nisnga147@nisnga1473 жыл бұрын
    • @@nisnga147 I mean skill level obviously, but what I mean is that Jan knew what Reyes was capable of due to the Jones fight and I’m sure Jan isn’t a dumb fighter he’ll be very aware of what adesanya can do.

      @abe2great128@abe2great1283 жыл бұрын
    • And I mean I honestly don’t have a biased opinion on the Izzy vs Yoel fight I look at it as the Francis vs Lewis fight. Both were to scared to pull the trigger both were counter strikers and Yoel never really used his wrestling so you can’t expect crazy wrestling from him.

  • Nothing like coming home after a hard day of training, sipping on some whey, and drinking in the knowledge from Dan Hardy. Love the description of Izzy's feints "weaving a web," poetry right there. Just about as tough as it gets for a first title defense. Also a massive credit to Adesanya moving up after cleaning out his division, if you truly believe you're the best that's what you gotta do. Can't wait.

  • This is not same situations :) . In Jan situation he is better control distance on legs and body movment . He make window when go back and when good control distance whole time . All fighter you show ore offensive fighters non-counterattack fighters who focus controlling distance like Jan . For sure Adesanya is very dangerous but he make mistakes too and Jan dont need many chances to knock out someone so we will see . When you show Adesanya with Whittaker in similar situation propably Jan make punch and huge kick in his rib :0 so his great balance will be usless :0
