The Riyad Mahrez Story, which charts the football journey of City's former electrifying winger, is now available to watch on KZhead!
Mahrez went on to win four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, three League Cups and one Community Shield, marking the end of his City career with Champions League glory, aiding in club history as we secured the Treble.  
But what's his story?
Well, we find out in this City Studios documentary, which starts from his early beginnings at AAS Sarcelles to his trial at St Mirren, his move to first club Quimper and up the French leagues to Le Havre where he was scouted by Leicester City.
We look at his successful spell at the Foxes under Nigel Pearson and Claudio Ranieri, where he was a key member of the team that avoided relegation against all the odds before achieving the unthinkable the following season - winning the Premier League!
We also look at his move here to City and his life in the sky blue shirt.
The documentary also covers his international career and his undoubted highlight on that stage, winning the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Algeria in 2019.
You’ll hear from important people in his story, such as Erick Mombaerts, Pearson, N’Golo Kante, Islam Slimani, Wes Morgan, Steve Walsh, Ranieri, Bernardo Silva and Txiki Begiristain, as well as a host of other team-mates from former clubs.

    • don't exaggerate, he was a good winger, but there was nothing supernatural about him, plus he was slow and lacked explosiveness!! The same Sane, Bernardo, Sterling, Jesus were sometimes more productive than him! I'm really surprised they made a movie about him

  • No matter how many documentaries City have made for Mahrez, it won't change the fact that he's never respected and cherished by Pep Guardiola and most City supporters. He had totally changed his playing style to suit Guardiola's football philosophy but still always got benched even he's on fire. And he's always the first to be blamed and abused by City supporters (especially on City fanbase like Bluemoon Forum) even he did nothing wrong. Zero second on both cup finals last season (even he scored a hat trick in the FA cup semi final) is what he got after he gave his all and this is how Guardiola treated a loyal player who wanted to end his career at City.

    • Thats exactly what was going through my mind as I watched the documentary. If he was truly cherished and loved by pep like he was by Ranieri, he could've provided much more to city. What really hurts, is that he was not given a single f**** minute in the FA final and Champions League, which he dreamt of winning. Btw, all of his past coaches spoke about riyad in this documentary except PEP!
