  • The argument JT is saying is you don’t work this hard to get the same rewards as youth players… youth players need to earn the first team treatment, not get treated it. JT wasn’t demanding he was reminding AVB to keep the youth hungry and earn the rewards

  • AVB came in with arrogance, thinking he was the next Mourinho, and wanted to cast aside the experienced spine of the team. It was hard to find a player in that squad who was not serious captain material. I don't think there's ever been a squad with more captains in it. They did manage themselves a lot, and their attitude was justified when they went on to win the FA Cup and UCL two or three months after AVB was sacked, and replaced by a P.E. teacher (with all due love and respect to the legend Di Matteo). Big fan of Martin, but he's never had a dressing room as mentally strong as that in his career. He can't relate to the context of the situation.

But to use your star player standing along with other star players to overrule the manager in his face, amd force him to acquiesce is known as "player power". Player power is seen as one of the evils of modern football.

It wasn't just young players and senior players, it just happened that on leg one Chalaboah and McEchran were in first and they three "managers" were at the back. • What even is this comment? Terry is a parasite then what is Van Djik a flea because let tell you now a lot of legends in the game will never touch the records Chech, Terry and Carvalho set 15 goals conceded in a season. Only Arsenal are even with touching distance with David Seaman, Lee Dixon, Nigel Winterburn, Tony Adams, Steve Bould and Martin Keown. No one else Knows what its like to concede under 20 goals in a season.

THE CHARACTER OF THE MANAGER AND THE WAY THE MANAGER MANAGES THE DRESSINGS ROOM WAS IMPORTANT. BECAUSE YOU CAN'T HAVE A TEAM OF STRONG LEADERS AND BRING A WEAK MANAGER. IT WILL NEVER WORK. so i agree with Oneil on one hand But on the pther hand he is Also proving Terry Right because He would have left Terry co at that airport, Which would have Stamped his Authority in a different way.. And that was what AVB didn’t have to Manage that dressing Room.. AVB IS A GREAT COACH HIS SUCCESS PROVES THAT HOWEVER HE'S NO JOSÉ OR PEPP.. The players at Chelsea were loyal to Jose and Jose had fallen out with Villas Boas over an acceptance speech that Villas Boas made at a UEFA award ceremony after he had won the treble which included the Europa League at Porto. Villas Boas thanked Guardiola despite working with Jose at Inter Milan and Jose rightly took offense.

But in the same breath, the owner paid around 15 million to get AVB out of Porto, and basically the club captain doesn’t give the guy a chance and the owners money was wasted over one plane trip .. if I was Roman and I heard that had happened I would be livid.. there’s a balance to strike between big players and the amount of influence they should have.
