  • This guy has done so much for uk boxing people will only realise it when he’s retired sadly. Top guy who just wanted to do his best and considering he didn’t start until he was 18 is remarkable.

    • AJ heavyweight boxer / actor Worst mistake was failing to be himself he spent all of his pro career acting. He was built up to be a marketing machine who acts like a role model to promote the sport and be the face of heavy weight boxing. If he remained true to his character then he wouldn’t act so anxious in interviews and would have more fans. All of the greats remained true to their characters. Also AJ has lost how many times now? Exactly. Still entertaining or shall I say interesting to watch but nothing was ever special about AJ

  • I got to be honest I used to prefer Fury but as times going on AJ has proven time and time again now that he will fight the best yes ok Fury was the first one to step up to Wilder who was really a 1 trick pony and that trick cud of knocked 90% of his opponents out but no one wanted to face a Cruiserweight Olympic medalist and Undisputed champion not only that Joshua doesn’t promise something and doesn’t come through he is a man of his word Hope AJ smashes it this weekend hopefully x3 Heavyweight Champion in the future 👊🏽

    • Also, Fury didn’t have to fight any top contenders to earn a shot at Wilder. He was banned for 2 years for peds, was stripped of his titles and fought embarrassing comeback fights against Sefer Seferi and Pianetta!! Wilder cherry picked him because he thought he was finished. AJ has fought back to back top contenders, mandatories, champions, Olympic gold medalists. He doesn’t get any credit for being the first person to knock out Povetkin. People criticise and say he’s was old. But that also means he had years of top level experience over AJ. Povetkin was dangerous. Look what he did to Price and Whyte!

    • What most people don't really take into consideration is that both Usyk and Franklin have very fast hands. This was the same with Ruiz. Hence why AJ is cautious now with fighters like that. People completely ignore the Pulev fight after Ruiz. This will go thd same way imo. I'm sure AJ will start off a little slow and work on some things he's been learning from James, but the opportunities to KO Helenius will eventually present themselves, and AJ will take them.

    • It’s been said many times, when you’re a top level matchroom fighter, you own part of the show. So basically AJ owns part of the show, he is paying for the undercard, it’s his balance sheet. Yes, Eddie and matchroom do all the work, but AJ makes the decisions. It’s basically like having a wedding planner, you tell them what you want, they plan and organise everything and find the suppliers for the flowers and catering etc, but at the end you pay the bill. - but obviously with boxing events the aim is to make a profit.

      @zimaknights@zimaknights9 ай бұрын
