If you found the echos throughout the commander Lilith dlc in borderlands 2, you tend to feel that way as you’re taking him out

Because she broke she killed her sister which was the only family she had and she's been looking for her since she was a child Atlas wanted family members dead to show loyalty so they did a order 66 on the town her sister was in and she didn't realize it until it was over kind of like how kratos killed his wife and child but then realized what he has done.

Athena was pretty awesome. Her skillset in Presequel were alot of fun. Literally the equivalent of a Reverse Uno Card.
Especially with skills invested in here shield, she can litterally absorb all 5 elements and practically just say "no u" and fling it back at them

It was super weird how Athena and Watcher just kinda disappeared, had it not been for their use of Aurelia, I would have sworn they completely ignored TPS but with how they handle Rhys and Vaughn, it almost feels like didn't care for TftBL

Yeah, Athena and Watcher missed, but as well as Helios and Scooter, so tales from the borderlands is somehow cannon. But if it is cannon, then TPS as well, because Tales has direct reference to everything happened in TPS (Nakayama's Jack copy is from mission in Helios, Janey + Athena love). So in reality we should see reference, while we don't. Also in the end of BL3 there is a meeting between Vaughn and Rhys in arts

But lets say she did completely retire after all that, there's still the fact that she was completely missing from the game all together and no where to be seen, not even a mention.

Knoxx would’ve been extremely happy & proud to see Rhys Strongfork running Atlas as both a respectable corporation, one that genuinely cares about the well-being of it’s people.
After re-watching this again, I still can’t see how she would eventually end up as Hyperion’s CEO🥲

I miss how serious borderlands used to be... I feel like every game since the first has been a parody of the previous.
I still like the original a lot too. I really enjoy the desolate empty feeling of it. The screaming of bandits and stuff gets a bit tedious after a while but I think the sound design improves in the later games so that kind of thing is less redundant. Consider though how there's actually quite a few years in between games. B2 is 5 years after B1. B3 is 7 years after B2. So 12 years between B1 - B3. That's actually a pretty realistic chunk of time for people to settle on Pandora/Elpis/etc. for corporations to rise, for even things like celebrity phenomena to occur within a culture. Although I get where you're coming from, I think these developments are only natural within their own context. So the franchise might as well capitalize on them. After all, I wouldn't want just more of the same. That's what made the original special in the first place.
I mean, the first game had a mission in which a guy pays you over $40,000 to get his semen-stained pornography magazines out of the trash and a place called Midgetville. Like, I get what you're saying, but let's not pretend the original wasn't super fucking silly, too.

Knoxx Is probaply the only Atlas soldier that is actually nice. He cares about his Assasins and soldiers, diesnt want to start a fight without any reason, doesnt underastimate the Vault Hunters. Knoxx is a well done character and It woulnt have hurt to see echos in bl 2 about him or atleast a mission to try to revive him after his death in the robolution/Claptrap döc.

Athena is great. Despite being raised as she was, she still has moral compass which was seen well in the pre-sequel when compred with Nisha or Wilhelm. Her story in TftB was also very good. Of course like many things in that messed up in the New TftB. The one who had an idea of making Athena CEO of Hyperion should be fired from a cannon into a moon.

I always wondered if Athena was a fake name. I mean the Omega assassins had names of goddesses from Greek or Roman mythology like Minerva or Hera and Athena is also a name of a goddess from Greek mythology. And since she was leading the whole brigade of Lance Assassins on Pandora it's logical that Athena was one as well. Also Atlas itself is also a name from Greek mythology. Additionally Athena's sister's name was Jess. And while this could be a Jaime - Tyrion situation, something tells me that it's not. So my theory is that Atlas took those girls from their parents, trained them, brainwashed them, gave them a new name and killing their parents and perhaps other family members was not only show of loyalty but also a proof that their former selves were dead.

I feel bad for general knoxx.. he seemed like a nice guy.
One thing I like about her character is that she always look so grumpy.
Because she lost a lot she was forced to kill her own sister because Atlas didn't want any family members getting in the way something that has to do with loyalty but in a dark way and she was trying to find her sister and leave but it was too late so she decided to fight back and destroy Atlas.

In ancient Greece, Athena is the goddess of wisdom. And Atlas is the Titan that held the world on his shoulders. So is Athena in Borderlands named after the goddess or is that just a coincidence? And if not are all Atlas assassins named after ancient Greek goddesses? If so they're gonna run out of names really fast and lots of women are gonna share the same name.

Knox reminds me a lot of George Washington after the revolution. He's a tired "old man" who just wants to retire, gets pulled into another conflict and leads with distinction, but is too capable to leave and too strong to die. The man just wants to sit under his Olvine and Fig trees and read a book.
