Considering that Gaige said she helped out with Zed’s wedding (which apparently ended in disaster), I’d say the Zed/Tannis ship sailed, hit a reef, mutated, and then exploded.

About Dr Zed’s medical license, when one of Dr Zed’s patient woke up, his skeleton was missing and Dr Zed was never heard from again, that’s how he lost his medical license.

I just cross my fingers that he comes back as a playable Vault Hunter character. Playing on the back of the fact that he was suppose to be one of the first playable Vault Hunters. And him being a Medical Soldier due to his unorthodox methods being more suited in the front lines and not in a legal hospital (as well as something involving Zed actually touching the bodies and not letting the medical machined do the work which got him in trouble for not using his med bot like how the classes tell you to do it). Maybe his skills would be like that of Axton's except with better tweaks and his ability would be a Military Med Bot that supplies one teammate with health, shield, or ammo (with some skills expanding on that).

Doctors and is personally my favorite doctor of any fictional dr.. he's got that good old Texan accent that I just love. Sun. This may sting a bit I love him dude. He's personally one of my favorite characters. If only we could play as them I bet you he would have been an amazing playable character
Ted needs to come into BL3 all to ruin his more successful and most likely still a live brother, Zed. Maybe ruining some of Zed's Medic Vending Machines. A good little Event maybe. Not a major DLC but something like "Medicine That Cures All...?" Random Vending Machines with Zed's face on it all over the planet of Pandora (and other worlds) start to appear and soon anyone that uses them start undergoing mutated effects. Some bad. Some good. Others extremely deadly. High Risk = High Reward you could say. More serious the "Medical Treatment" the bigger the payout. Though if you die while under the effects. NO LOOT FOR YOU!

My guess is the writers of BL3 didn’t want Zed being attached to Tannis. So they cut him out completely, while not redesigning and re-voicing his health machines to fit Tannis.

I mean the events of borderlands 3 are 7 years after borderlands 2. So if the idea is that he went back to medical school to impress Tannis, it would make sense. However, the fact that he almost feels retconned is shocking. Almost every character in the entire lore is mentioned at some point in BL3

as ive said on a another video about zed the va for zed around the time of bl3's development was not in the best place mentality and is why the med vending machines reuse the bl2 vending machine lines but is doing fine now and is willing to voice zed when needed

I think that would only work if the Great War was the plot of the next game. Would be a nice shake up but some would think that Ava would be wasted potential.
I think Ava might be the next siren VH and I think the Great War will be fought against the seventh siren. I don’t know.

Edit: I feel like they need to make a Dr. Ed who doesn't have a license, is a certified idiot who can't speak coherently and can patch a guy up with dental floss, a ten inch nail and belly button lint. One of those wasn't necessary for the procedure, he just needed a snack

How did he get his vending machine onto every planet?? And why do violent and/or aggressive entities tend to gather in areas close to his machines?
Maybe some people moved those machines there to get money from bandits, or they're for people wanting to kill bandits....or maybe they're just there for an incentive to kill whatever giant monster is lingering nearby.
