How to upgrade and install your car stereo in a Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series, car, or truck! Today we're installing an ATOTO touch screen car stereo with wireless Apple Carplay, upgrading the speakers, and making speaker spacers for the Land Cruiser FZJ80. Lol!! My old HDJ81 has an ancient “carrozerria” (Japanese division of Pioneer) that gets exactly 2 radio stations. It does play CDs 😂. I need an upgrade all around. Great video and very helpful.

That slot you put the microphone in was used for the temp sensor for the auto climate control that came in the LXs

Nice video and install. I think I would have taken this opportunity to install sound deadening on those doors while you had the panels off.

I have the same speakers in the back doors of my 80. I do have the 6.5 RF ones in the front doors. They are a pain to fit.

It's been a few months, how do you like the microphone location? I've been fixing previous owner wiring and installing an Atoto head unit too - this video has been great (except the owner cut all the original wiring) One caution, I used CA glue on the door cards and it started a reaction that ended up with a ton of heat and smoke. No fire but very surprising!

I need to look at disconnecting that factory amp... is it just the two cables you show that need detached?

Did you have to ground a wire from the Atoto harness to the parking brake or did everything just go straight from the Atoto harness into the Scosche?

- It's just from walmart and called "supertite", but any thin CA glue. Search Amazon for "thin CA glue"
