The real comment here is that Josh Hartnett is a talented hottie and I loved seeing him in Oppenheimer. I also just re-watched 30 Days of Night on Netflix recently and it's truly haunting.
Such an underrated actor. Halloween H20, the Faculty, 30 Days of Night. Haunting is the best word for 30 Days of Night. Those are the most terrifying vampires I’ve ever seen or heard on film.

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE OTHER THEORY: If the killer was "supposed" to be at, of all places, some teeny bopper concert, would they REALLY just seal off everything in the basketball arena? Aren't they just begging him (or her-yes a possibility) to kill someone or take them hostage? Something is WAY off here. Here's hoping that M. Night gives us something good. He's been getting a little better as of late.

The part that's really shouting out at me is at 0:59 The dad goes up to the snack stand and introduces himself and the vendor guy gives his name right back. They shake hands. Then Jamie literally tells the dad what's going when he says I'm not supposed to tell you, but..... .....implies like they know each other fairly well....or maybe knew each other like from college or something.....

After seeing the trailer several times I'm under the impression that the dad is divorced (or separated for another reason) and the daughter lives with her mom (or significant other like aunt, uncle, grandparents) I mean if the dad has a victim in the basement......how would the daughter not know it...... Therefore, the daughter doesn't live with her dad. Update: Yes. The more I think about this....it seems to make sense. I mean it's a common thing in his other films.... SIXTH SENSE SIGNS HAPPENING AFTER EARTH THE VISIT SPLIT Knock at the Cabin had the two dads. Old had tension with two parents.

The real twist could be: No, it seems absurd, but ... What if the black guy at the merch is a cop already knowing he talks to the butcher? Makes no sense, right? Well, what if I told you, that cop is the real butcher, working as a cop, and the dad is the last victim of the butcher who survived, but because dad suffers from a personality disorder, he himself believes he is the butcher, and the real butcher let him have that phone so dad continues believing he is the killer while the real butcher is free to watch his plan run ... THAT would be a twist orgy.
