    • People's opinions on social issues are greatly influenced by the platforms they use and the media they are exposed to. it seems people can no longer have a discussion. I believe the main reason behind that is that our animal brain is influenced greatly by the exposure to ongoing propaganda and therefore, we become more extreme in our points of views, making us less tolerant to the opinion of others. Left wing extremists and right wing extremists are both extremists. And the world seems to rapidly be dividing itself into right and wrong, left and right, black and white, rich and poor. We are all human and there is enough abundance in the world for everyone. It's just FEAR that stops us from sharing and being tolerant to the point of view that is different to ours. Just my thoughts

    @venkatadrimannam4889@venkatadrimannam48893 жыл бұрын
    • Toxic social media should be shut down, or at least regulated. Social networking could be a very useful aspect of modern communication: it allows us to create social dynamics that could never exist in real life. I believe that when something is wrong but potentially useful, it needs to evolve, not to be deleted. For this reason, I use only Storyexpe, which is based on completely different criteria, not on data tracking (and is more beautifully designed).

    • That's very sad on many levels... Never take anything public at face value, always question the mainstream narrative, and look for the motive behind any story. Just like the Tylenol piece of this story, the moral is: if you ban/ignore/suppress/utterly reject a story, people will sense there's something wrong and you lose all credibility. Tackle the truths straight-on, your stocks will skyrocket and your credibility will go through the roof. This is why KZhead is bleeding business. This is why Facebook/KZhead/Twitter using more restrictive measures (as suggested by the blue-haired lady) will lead to them hemorrhaging followers. People want a town square, not an extra daddy.

I hated being baited into anger and being exactly what I don't want to be. I'm not on any social sites, don't miss it one bit, don't own a cellphone (only a landline) and have my laptop. SOOOOO much happier! I don't even have call-waiting, because I think it is a terribly rude invention. • Social media affects me directly in only ONE minor way. I don't let it make my decisions. Despite being a youngster, I distinctly remember playing outside, reading books, and inviting friends over instead of texting; my grandmother and parents raised me to be completely reliant on myself and on what was tangible and could be proven in the physical world. In my own opinion, teens' confidence can possibly be mended to not believe the displays of societal beauty standards, so the real problem is the affect it has on the world as a whole. A younger family member of mine was caught so engaged in her phone that she didn't answer when acknowledged, so tough love was administered. A yelling and firm tone of voice, swift and firm hand motions, as well as intense eye contact were only the first steps in getting her to snap out of it.

"Attention is the highest currency you have, therefore everybody wants your attention, your friends, television media etc. Including you. including your own ego, wants your own attention, constantly interrupting you from your passion. Therefore you have to bring it back with your meditation and with your breath 100 times a day." :))))) And as Dr. Joe Dispenza says statistically people lose attention 6 times per minute.

I’m really glad this movie was released bc I was starting to lose faith with controlled speech and how everything is censored. Still this movie could’ve done more to show how it might affect different families, it could’ve dig deeper to examine the revelancy to hate crimes in America and suicides on tik tok, human labor in prisons, China and the difference between employees and employers

I suffered breast cancer this year and their support through these means was invaluable even more now with the pandemic situation. I think it’s all a matter of how we use them.

  • “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Eph. 6:11-17

  • I don't Facebook and stopped using many other platforms like Twitter and Instagram as they were not informative or productive. I know KZhead is bad in many ways but I use it to fall asleep (ASMR), Learn (history and science channels), and entertainment (stand up comedy). I gravitate to channels that rationally present all sides of an issue. As soon as there is labelling, name calling or one sided opinions presented I pass on the channel. I try to practice critical thinking. It's hard to do, it takes time and patience to think through an issue, recognize biases, especially your own, and research questions you have regarding information you read/watch. I look at it like when you have a car malfunction. You can think you know what the problem is. You can argue with others about the problem but until you test, analyze and investigate the problem you won't know for sure what the problem is.

I did not use social media as often until the last election from 2017 to 2019. I always received negative affirmations and apalling ads. The first things that came up in my feed were never what I wanted to see. I think the affirmations statements are untrue. We all know big tech and ads try to make people insecure... There are probably many people who never received affirmations.

  • I discovered the documentary A Social Dilemma even existed 3 weeks ago. I joined Netflix for the first time in my life just to watch it( and have cancelled Netflix) but I have now seen this three times and find it fascinating. This comment is not to say how knowledgable I am, because History is out there to investigate for anyone who wants to. I agree that the technology of the present world is in many ways unique in the impact it is having on the social fabric. But the dangerous problems touched on in this film do seem to come from a "This has never happened before. Golly!" Towards the end one speaker mentioned his greatest immediate fear was Civil War. You have only to study our Civil War to realize the immense polorization that came immediately before. The North and South, although sharing the same history (Revolutionary War of 1776) the same language, heard the same Bible being read in church- neither side could even hear the other, and might as well come from different planets. And this was in 1861, way before modern technology. When the radio was invented and radio serials and dramas got better and better, for the first time in History, over half of the American Population was listening to the same programs and sharing identical experiences. This was manipulated in the the famous War of the World's radio show designed by Orson Welles and broadcast Halloween Eve in 1938- which panicked the Nation as millions believed Earth was being invaded by hostile Martians. This documentary spoke of polorization and chaos happening politically in the world's richest democracies. Well, some still can't understand how a Germany that gave us Beethoven, Schiller, Goethe, Kant, etc turned into Nazi Germany. C'mon, this was one of the most cultured places in Europe. But a study of the pre-war history revealed the Democracy as set up after World War One had rapidally fractured into a huge amount of different parties with the strongest - the Nazis and the Communists- openly fighting in the streets.Complete polorization- way before modern technology. As for using the technology available to spy on freedom lovers, it was common practice when occupied countries turned into Churchill's broadcast from England- illegal during the war- another radio would be set up by the front door playing music to drown out "listening ears" that might report them. And whether in Stalinist Russia or Hitler's Germany, spies were everywhere- your own children could turn you into the police. And then there's McCarthyism, the Khymer Rouge, etc. All real history open to anyone. It is easy to see how social media might end up being the worst instrument of propaganda if used by a Dictator. But the attitude that today's social and political climate Has Never Seen the Like Before- Kristal Nacht or Night of Broken Glass, anyone?

    • You didn't mention the information you MUST have found that says covid is a ponzi scheme created by racketeers called fauci and many others in league with big pharma, etc. They talked the whole world into believing that there is something terrible out there so that everyone would go buy those weapons that they are calling vaccines. This is a test. Communists ARE taking over and they are trying to confuse everyone so that fighting will break everyone up. This is the way rulers take over. The video Agenda: Grinding Down America is just one that says this. These communist thinking people, some say, is the ruler of china because he wants to rule the whole earth so much. China owns thousands of acres in america already. At one time I found articles that said Hilliary and Obama had sold China The Grand Canyon and Hawaii. Now I don't find them. There has been a lot of censoring going on I have noticed. Another thing you didn't mention is that physics proved a long time ago that no one dies. Sure we leave these bodies at what is called death, but we leave them as the electrical energy fields we have always been. Quarks were theorized decades ago by Geii-Mann. He won a Nobel prize for that. The physicist Kenneth Ford wrote in this book The Quantum World these words: "magically bursting forth are quarks spinning billions of times a second as 3 points of light forming protons and neutrons". This proves we are 100% light, the same light of existence itself. The same light that people say has been here for billions of years. Another thing Ford says in his book is that time is simultaneous. He included a graph of this in his book. Just stop the earth from spinning and everyone would realize time really is always now. The book Hands of Light written by the physicist Barbara Brennan says we are eternal holograms, light holograms. We are those quarks and atoms that are spinning super fast. We all consist of 7 billion billion billion atoms, each one an electrical energy field, so we really are not biological. We are electrical. That is why electrical machines are built to test us. Those quarks and atoms are our literal souls. These souls can be seen in videos like Gods Among Us and in the book Hands of Light. They spin/vibrate a whole lot faster than we do. That is how we are so specific, so tuned like machines. We are their images. They are creating us constantly or we would not be ALIVE. This whole existence is constantly being created by these souls.WE are supposed to be doing what THEY want us to do. They are all about joy. They are trying to work through us/with us to change the world for the better. So you can see there are much deeper subjects being hidden from us. I have been censored a lot for writing these words.
