Does any one else, absolutely LOVE this pressers? I know Eddie must be sick to the teeth of them , but I just love this transparency. Flipping love my club.
Listening to this on my own in my car, parked up, and literally applauded Eddie. I think the way he has embraced Tonali and been so supportive it will make Tonali even stronger and more determined to perform for him. Also it must show the rest of the squad what an amazing manager they have and help affirm the team spirit. To have had the set backs we have had this season and still be in a position to be fighting for 6th is, I think, a bigger achievement than last season. We have been challenging teams who under performed last season who are back on it and are now an accepted part of the dialogue when people talk of contenders.

Hail to the King Eddie from NewCastle. He never catches a break from injuries, as 2-3 players are near return, 1-2 gets injured BUT despite these challenges king Eddie has done a great job at the helm. A fully fit squad and we'd be in the conversation of title contenders. To all the players, coaching staff, management and especially the die hard fans thank you this season my not have gone as planned, but we've sticked together. Challenges will always be there, but overcoming it makes it meaningful. Growth and comfort do not coexist, there will be growing pains, the important part is that we learn and grow together to make this club more amazing and loved all over the world🌎

I have no doubt we would of been top 4 with a less serious injury situation, not just the numbers but the types of players, losing both strikers too much, losing both of the Joe's, who fill a vital role to the way we play, losing the calmness of tonali in tight games when we are holding on, if we finish in Europe this season I honestly think it beats the achievements of last season, considering injuries/second season syndrome, and the new emotion and mental drain of being in the CL

Tonali has been top class about how's handled the whole situation. Realised he had an issue and was forthcoming with all the information (which no doubt helped his case). Took a pay cut. Has tried to raise awareness about addiction. It was a shit situation, but he's handled it about as well as he could have done.

What we’ve had thrown at us this season from the (on paper) hardest start to the campaign of any team, to really hard domestic cup draws/group of death in CL, to officiating injustices, to the shocking injuries & the powers that be introducing new rules to slow our progress like the attempted preventing of club trading with same ownerships & even pathetic petty things like only 1 person allowed in the technical area.. Knew we’d lose Fabian Schar the moment he was subbed last match. Okay, besides one game when krafth struggled to keep up and was subbed on and then subbed off, emil has been solid and is a fit player. But Schar for me has been in all seriousness our player of the season. Surprised more wasn’t mentioned. He’s not missed a game really, he’s been brillaint and I’m gutted he’s out for the last four matches. We have Burnley away a contest that’s going be a physical battle and we need to perform in the first half but also right to the end cos Burnley goals come late on normally. Pope won’t feature yet, I doubt Kieran will be back starting until Brighton match, JOELINTON I think will he on the bench tomorrow and involved, but miggy surely will feature. He needs to step up cos to me if he doesn’t he’s off. Miggy made the difference when we beat Burnley 2-0, and we need miggy for the last games. What I’m a bit worried about (cos the fans expect a lot) is old Trafford. Without Schar, with the demands for joe to play when he won’t be at all match fit, I know we’ve beaten them 3 times in a row but this will be a tough game.

Done a decent job last 2 and half years at the club but when he talks personally for me he bores me to death with his tone of voice. Going to be an interesting summer I think for once we do know there will be lots of things going on internally and transfers, I think we have done just as well as last season considering all things they have faced.

Given injuries longstaff has been asked to play week in week out even when he himself has needed a rest due to his own injuries. Sean longstaff has earned his wages this year.
