  • Thanks for showing how the cards and sleeves are in separate cases themselves! I was thinking of picking one of these up but all the items not being in one sealed box itself kind of makes it a weird sealed item to display

  • Cards look incredible. Holo foil on the charizard is my favorite pattern, normally wouldn't consider another version of base charizard after buying Chinese 25th anniversary charizard and pulling English celebrations, but this holo pattern is just crazy good

  • Cool to see it opened so early! Had this preordered, but canceled, glad I did. Soon as I saw the centering issues and the packaging I was pretty disappointed. Also was hoping the decks would be based of more closely to the base deck starters…

  • thanks for sharing! very interesting to know that the cards on the front didn't come in the best condition. also, the packaging of the decks into an outer slider box, which is unsealed, could lead to a lot of scams imo. If a Seller lists the box just showing the outer packaging and saying it's sealed no one will know if the slider box has been taken out from the inside

  • How did you fix the cards lol? I just opened my Japanese box, and the front of all 3 are mint, but the backs don't have perfect corners, and there's whitening in the exact places that you pointed to.

    • Cant really fix whitening. I just push my finger carefully and lightly to try and correct lips or bends occasionally. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

  • They should put the decks in the deck boxes.. that would fox two issues at once. It would make the overall package smaller and it would protect the most valuable items in the collect. Seems like a no-brainer.

    • Exactly, heck even the old theme starter decks had the deck inside the deck box Sure its a cardboard deck box but at least is a bit of extra protection, so definetly should had done that in the extra premium product (And keeping all components sealed in the same box, specially considering how crazy pokemon scalpers are)

    • Just lightly pressed on a couple of the issues with my finger nail to try and straighten out. Nothing too crazy. Didn't work too well.

  • I ordered some of these for my personal collection. Got pretty much all the Pokemon cards except the 3 last evolutions of the starters since I already have the 25th anniversary version. Really cool looking cards. Also major disappointment for the English release once again. The cards just don't look as good and look like the 50th reprint without any special foil or effort to it. And then they have the nerve to charge $400 for it while people in Japan get their better looking ones for $230.

    • Unless you are going to be playing the game, I would recommend buying singles. Much cheaper that way to get the cards you want.

    • The cards are only 3 structured decks, not every Pokemon from the original 151. The cards I showed are all the cards that come with the product.

  • Funny how people don't understand what to do with the game itself even this was sold to be played. If this kind set would have been published in mtg, market would crash because of reprints of probably rl cards. Pokémon has close to 0% effect from this which is fortunate kind of.

    • About 20-30% of new cards have either off center and/or tilted image. It is normal name of the game. I only keep the fully centered ones and burn poor quality ones.

    • They will release the "unique" cards meaning the new EXs and possibly a couple of the holos. I do not think that includes the reprints of older cards. Could be wrong tho. We will see.

  • those deck boxes are %100 NOT leather lol. Its fake leather also known as vegan leather or pleather. I'm not a fan of that material, goes bad fast. Its like a low grade premium material. Too bad about the card quality. I do like how every card is holo. I don't know how english will go, but its clear this wasn't what it could be.
