  • I have Galaxy S9 model G960U1. my data network is LTE but voice network is CDMA 1XRTT. I have a feeling that’s the reason VOLTE does not work on my phone even though its enabled and Sprint is offering it. How do I change the voice network to LTE as well. Thanks.

  • GSM codes before smart phones is nothing new, I remember checking signal this way 20 years ago. it’s just now they might launch an app then displaying a bunch of information most didn’t understand in the past. But you did get me thinking, the Apple Watch keypad doesn’t have * or #, and even if it’s saved as a contact it won’t show me signal strength. I wonder how to check the cell strength on the Apple Watch?

  • The 4636 menu is actually quite useful, at least to me. I live in Germany near the French border and I frequently go over there. My phone will by default always stick to the German cell service, even if it's an extremely poor connection. With this menu, I can force it to only allow LTE so it switches to the French network when there is no more German LTE (which is usually before I even reach the border - yeah, cell service is really bad here). There are also shortcut apps for this when you don't want to type it in every time.

  • I have a Rebel LG4 TracFone. Once I have sent a text message to someone, later on in the day I can I pull up the message I sent and hold my finger on the text. After a few seconds a sort of toolbar appears at the top of my screen with options and I touch a white "I" icon within a small black circle. This brings up a pop up screen that tells me my phone number, the phone number I sent the message to, then the next line reads "Status 65536" followed by the date and time I sent the message. I also have one message with all the same info but one line reads "Status 128" Any idea what those two status codes mean? I've searched and can't find an explanation so I thought I'd come here and check with the experts. Thanks.

  • Every android version has an easter egg wich shows up when you tap multiple times on your android version number in the settings. The code just opens the easter egg. So you can activate petmode in the settings too.

  • I know these by the name Gate commands, They arn't restricted to smart phones I've been using them since the 90's. We used to remember them by what they spelled out (for example simclock I remember being one)

  • Hi, your very good looking, such nice eyes 😍 Ok here is my question. My LG phone seems ok. Until i try to connect the dots to log in. Its like ghost screen but weirder. The lines that connect the dots randomly move around to different dots. I have to move my finger slightly away from its naturally programmed path. Then as soon as it seems ok as most of my log in pattern is done, it wont register or let me connect the last dot to complete my pattern. Any ideas as to what that is? Will these codes work on any brand cell phone? Thanks for your knowledge.

    • You can block outgoing caller ID in mobile phone "Settings" or enter *67 on land-line phones before dialing. There might be a fee for the *67, and neither may work on toll free numbers (like 1-800).

  • There is one I like that lets you test different components of your phone; I believe its the same code that lets you calibrate your screen as well. Don't remember the code at the moment.

  • Hello, I am using Red-mi Note 7 Pro, i forgot the Patton Lock, 1. Tried to download the Password Unlock / Aroma ZiP lock. 2. when i try to press Power + Vol UP button, i could see only 3 options. A. REBOOT B. WIPE DATA C. CONNECT WITH Mi Assistant 3. I do not see other options as you mentioned. Please help me out ......i do not want my data to be lost

    • @@nycourtclerk I'm in the UK, but where I worked in the 1970s, we used IBM mainframes, and many of the extended HASP commands used $# as a prefix, and we UK-ers pronounced it "dollar sharp" (not "dollar pound"). However, later on, I gathered that Americans tended to call the "#" the "hash", and I think that caught on here too. It was only later in the Twitter era that people started talking about "hashtags". In fact what they are really saying is "hash" appended to a "tag" which is just a bunch of text. The character is still a "hash", (or a "sharp" if you are musical). It seems daft to call it a "pound" when there exists the "£" symbol. (which is the pound sterling, I guess).
