Mechanical Keyboard ASMR mod Sound Test G915 TKL
TLDR: I added foam and did a tape mod. I did this video because there have been people asking how I got rid of the rattle. The video quality is bad since it came from my stream and I was using a Canon M200 as a webcam.

Hey could you tell what lube did you use. Nice video.. I have the same keyboard and would love to try these mods

- ngl. I used Krytox GPL 205GO and KLube 205. Essentially I use Krytox 205 and would recommend everyone to just get Krytox. If you can't get Krytox for whatever reason then just go for anything that says 205. And thanks for saying that it is a nice video! hahaha I thought it was trash but had to just finish a video nonetheless.

How did you disable the rattling of the keycaps? You use the original Logi Keycaps right? I have done the same mods on my own board but i have not this clear sound like in your video because of the caps. your video sounds like you used o-ring under the caps, did you?

- i tried o rings and they sucked cause there is almost no space allowance between the keycap and the switch. So as in the video, I added in the foam. The foam helped to push UP the switches, thereby tightening everything. 1mm of foam I believe.

Choc switches always seem to rattle (Kaihl or Choc is what the switches are called). I send mine back to Amazon, for the price of that piece of hardware this should not have been necesarry. Good on you to fix it.

- I fixed it and am not even using it most of the tie. hahahaha It has been relegated to a travel keyboard.

Logitech G815 also hace that Maraca Wannabe Attitude. Never thought this G915 also suffered from that problem. My Solution is Poron.

- @@EwanLim Yeah.. And here i am, That Had Bought that G815 is lower Tier. JOKES ON ME! G915 also Have wired and Wireless version. Dam. Plus, i Guess it has Something to Do with that Gx Switch. Its not GX switch. Its Kaihl Switch. Especially that propriotory Key cap hole and ots 2 pron like Leg. Keychron didnt have that Problem. The only issue is Khailh bottom Pin is Smaller than MX Standar and Keychron's. I dont mind really Having to Wasted some RM400+ or 100USD on logitech. What im not OK, was the Khailh Switch.

Hello, my "U" key is making a pinging noise whenever I type on it, do you think these mods will fix it?

- Pinging?? That is so odd on this keyboard since everything except for the top plate is plastic. Are you using Blue switches? and nope, i don’t think this mod will help with this particular pinging sound. if u press any key and there is a ping sound, then yes. if it is just that one key then it sounds like a problem with the individual switch

- @@EwanLim Thank you for answering! Yes this is happening only on the "U" key, it's really weird. Like you said I think it's a deffective switch.

what millimeter thickness is the foam padding that you used

Meticulously mods a keyboard so it sounds a little better..... ...also shoves microphone into mouth to record V/O for full pop effect

Keychron has more thock but i like the g915 better.
