Boxing’s bright lights return to Las Vegas this weekend and you don’t want to miss this highly anticipated match up!
This Saturday, former IBF champion, Caleb Plant, challenges Super Middleweight star David Benavidez on Showtime Pay Per View in a geated rivalry that stems beyond the ring. Ahead of his title bout, Caleb sits with Fred, Ryan and Channing to talk about his journey and why this fight means so much to him and opens up on how the emotion surrounding the two fighters isn’t just for entertainment but is real.
Growing up life wasn’t easy and boxing wasn’t a hobby, it became a way out for Caleb and now, it’s a way of life for the former champion as he continues to etch his name atop the sport.
Detailing his heartbreak of his young daughter’s illness and her passing, Caleb emotionally shares how his life changed and how he was able to find strength in family and the will to keep fighting inside the ring. Losing his daughter Alia and also his mother shortly after, Caleb’s motivation to be one of boxing’s greats was fueled by his love of family and support from his best friend and now wife, Jordan. The foundation of his marriage is the structure if everything he does and fights for after recently welcoming their newest addition to the family, daughter Charly.
Coming off a win in the fall after a loss to Canelo Alvarez last spring, Caleb understands what’s at stake and is prepared to go to war this Saturday to win in the title and hand Benavidez his first loss. Caleb knows the sport comes with a good amount of trash talking but when someone talks about another man’s wife or children, it’s not reversible or forgotten…and Caleb is on a mission to let his opponent know there’s no coming back from what was said. It’s not enough to stand across from someone, it’s about having your hand raised when the final bell rings.
Tune into Showtime Pay Per View Saturday March 25th at 9pm est for the full card of fights ending with the main event between Plant and Benavidez.
Tap in every Tuesday at noon eastern for our premiere episode of the Pivot. Special drops on Friday afternoons at 3:30 pm. We are your one-stop platform for all your sports and entertainment content.

You got your thoughts all twisted up media is for clout my dude, always talking to the media about this traumatic incident is for people to side with him to get more fans, to make him more clout, not saying he's doing it intentionally but what do people usually do when they want people to feel sorry for them, they repeat an talk to the media about over an over again just like David talks about his young life an being fat an picked on, they do it for more clout.

  • Man just want to send positive vibes to this brother and his family. I emphasize with his story so much concerning the health and loss of his daughter. My wife and I experienced a similar situation with our daughter over 20 yrs ago. Our daughter passed away just over a week prior to her 3rd bday and was buried what would’ve been the weekend of her 3rd bday. Keeping this family in prayer for continued strength and healing for this is something you learn to live with forever. Appreciate his resilience and using this experience as fuel to motivate him for success. Continued 🙏🏽🙏🏽🆙

  • I first heard of Caleb right before nipsey hussle died. I saw how much of a great fighter he was and really liked his defense. I felt sad about the passing of his daughter. Then, when nipsey died, Caleb went to the marathon store and spent money. I've been his fan since first seeing him. Much love. I have my money on Caleb and hope he humbles David.
