The Italians are determined to host the Euro on their soil. In order to be even better prepared for the event, they have decided to withdraw their bid to host the 2028 European Championships and focus on the next tournament. The Italian Football Federation has just announced the 10 cities that will host Europe's best footballers in 2032, provided, of course, UEFA decides to host the championship on the Apennine Peninsula. Italy's rival will be Turkey, which is also bidding to host Euro 2028. The other candidate is the combined bid of the UK and Ireland (kzhead.infoqjwXG3F..., about which we have already told you about on our channel.
The Italians have not yet given specific stadiums, but with a fair degree of probability we can point to them. Milan is the exception, as the future of the legendary San Siro is unknown for the time being, and both clubs from this city AC Milan and Inter have not yet decided where they will play in the years to come. In addition, we will also visit the famous cities of Italian football - Turin, Rome, Naples, Florence and Genoa - but that's not all, as a new stadium for Cagliari is close to being completed in Sardinia. Join us for a look at Italy's bid to host Euro 2032.

Which Italian stadium do you like best?
Stadio Renato Dall'Ara Bologna
San siro
佛罗伦萨的😊
San Paolo/DAM. It is falling apart, the running track ruins the view, but I love it.
San Siro will always have a special place in my heart because of all the special European nights associated with it. Some of the other ones are totally uninspiring on the other hand.
Bologna's stadium is my favourite. A mix of tradition and modernity. Italy has a serious issue with its stadium and like France in 2016, the bid will help them a lot. As a Marseillais, I hated the previous configuration of Stade Vélodrome. With the renovation, it has become one of my favourites in the world. For Bari, it wasn't necessary to remind us the 1991 UCL final😅
A mix of fascist era and modern era
San Nicola di Bari: l'astronave
Stadium of Bologna 🤮🤮🤮🤢
@stanyamish3996 I'm looking for an apartment in Marseille as a student, can you help me?
Yes same as what happened with 1990 world cup
I really love the look of Genoa as has alot of character, but any stadium with a running track is not great for football as you are too far away from the action.
Genoa's stadium doesn' t have a running track

sadly in italy stadiums were all built with Olympic tracks because they needed funding in order to build them. And because the state now gets money from these stadiums because they share the ownership with the clubs they won’t allow the clubs to build their own stadium.
The Bologna stadium is how to do a refurbishment of an old stadium! That is beautiful.
Is bologna
@@fox96bfc oh right I spelled that wrong. Will edit thank you.
italian stadiums needs a big reform, they are very obsolets, they have a big teams and a big league but their stadiums are very bad

Italian stadiums are terrible!!! All old and poorly, maintained !!! It would be times for Italian teams to have their All stadium like All of Europe

Cagliari will be a great venue, with the rooftop hotel and pool, while it will look the Gulf of Angels in Cagliari seaside. This is going to be an iconic venue and place to be!
The new roof of the stadium in Bologna is architecturally very appealing. The new stadium in Milan also looks very interesting thanks to the planned glass wall and the green elements. I think the new grandstands and the video screen in Florence in combination with the planned museum area outside are great. The Stadio Olimpico in Rome, the Diego Maradona stadium in Napoli and the stadium in Bari urgently need to be architecturally revised so that they again trigger an aha effect with football fans. The concept for the modernization of the stadium in Cagliari, including an integrated swimming pool, is convincing.
The stadiums really need to be renovated. A lot of outdated stadiums in the Italy. So would be nice to see the improvements, also not a fan of the Olympictype stadiums, leaving the fans so far away from the pitch
Bologna Project Is Amazing
Even the one in Florence could be very nice
Palermo should be considered too.
I'm willing to bet that none of these stadium's or renovations will happen.
Can't wait to see Cagliari, Bologna and Fiorentina stadium upgrade. Likewise Venezia, Catania and Roma
Aspetta e spera, soprattutto per quello della Roma
Can’t wait for the Florence one.. it seems to be one of the most spectacular!
The Florence renovation has no financial backing at the moment and the design is horrible. They need a new stadium badly.
@@wizzerwiser2056 They have. But the main problem are italian laws and burocracy that seems a huge obstacle

Which "Cathedral" are you speaking about? San Siro Meazza is "Scala del Calcio" (yes, just as the famous opera theatre!) and it will never be demolished by anyone! Euro 2032 will be played there exactly as Italia '90 World Cup.
The San Siro should not be demolished. Imagine if the coliseum had been demolished and we did not have it today
It doesn’t matter where you play, and if the stadium is the best in the world or not,the field needs to be top notch and let the games begin!
A clarification on what has been said about the Bari stadium, especially for the inaccuracy at 8:34. The San Nicola stadium probably has one of the highest percentages of use and attendance of the public in Italy. For example, this year, in Serie B (Italian second division) it is the stadium with the highest attendance, eighth overall in Italy, therefore more than 13 stadiums in Serie A (first division). In the 2021/2022 championship when the team was in Serie C (Italian third division) it happened very often there was more public than teams in Serie B and even some in Serie A. It even happened one Sunday that it was the second stadium in Italy for public present after only the bigger San Siro in Milan, therefore more than all the other Serie C matches, all the Serie B matches and 9/10 of the Serie A matches. It should also be considered that for about two years the stadium is not entirely usable (often brought to less than 35,000 seats available) due to ongoing maintenance work to rebuild the roof, otherwise the numbers could have been even greater. The Bari team needs such a large stadium, for such a strong fan base.
Forza Bari 🤍❤
I like the proposed new stadium of Milan a lot. I do think that the capacity should be somewhere between 75,000 and 90,000. AC Milan and Inter Milan are two great clubs who deserve as big a stadium as possible.
Nuovo Stadio Milano? No That stadium won’t exist. Inter will play in San Siro renovated and AC Milan will build his new own stadium outside Milan, probably at Sesto San Giovanni (a city situated 10 km northeast of Milan).
it does not make sense to make a stadium which can host 12000 less fans than the average number of both milan and inter fans
even the stadiums in Türkiye are much nicer than those in Italy
Honestly, leaving the skeleton of the old stadium is ridiculous. Look at the case of Fiorentina, with the old stands (which Italian law does not allow to be torn down) behind the new ones. Aesthetically, I don't like it at all!
why not the Palermo stadium? We have one of the best stadiums in Italy in terms of positioning, support and safety. and thanks to the City group ownership it will only get better. Ridiculous choice not to consider the Palermo stadium
Some interesting proposed designs, but hate grounds with running tracks, the spectators end up a long way from the action.
you failed to mention Roma's new stadium which is being aimed for completion by 2027. i'd say that's a pretty fundamental part of their Euro 2032 bid
Milan's new stadium isn't even confirmed to be going forward yet and has not been approved. How are they offering it as a potential venue?
Unfortunately no new stadium will be built by then and no even renewed, probably just refresh for the venue. Cagliari, Florence, Bologna, Milan are ages under discussion...Italian bureaucracy is a joke!!
Cagliari will start the renovation in 2023 and Bologna have bought his own stadium so it might be easier, just saying
Oh you are faster than we Germans. There were German newspaper articles how fast Italians can build, if they want. We Germans need 20 years for a simple airport or a train station 😭
Love the pool on the top
As a Turk, I love Italy and Italian people. I believe we have so many things in common. Even though Italy is home to great football teams, its stadiums are not so great.
only juventus has its own stadium

It will take us 20 years to build new or remodernise these stadiums, this is Italy remember!!!😎

The maracana of Brazil had a track before but it was renovated and the stands are much closer to the pitch now, the same could be done for most of these in Italy.
I just didn't want them to completely eliminate the athletic track from the stadium in Rome, I wanted them to do as in the Stade de France, retractable bleachers that adapt to the two configurations.
Maracanã never had a track. It's a bowl-shaped stadium

you forgot to mention the Dacia Arena in Udine. I can understand that at a minimum capacity, but in terms of modernization it is the second in Italy after the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
Nope, that's not in the bid for 2032
It's not in the bid, it has 23k seats and the minimum is 25k, it's the same reason as Gewiss Stadium of Bergamo
It’s Italy 90 2.0 besides for Turin and Cagliari. Stadiums with an athletic track ARE NOT meant to watch football or any games played on a pitch unless you have a good pair of binoculars. The Italian communi (city councils) still won’t let go their revenue stream. The Bentegodi stadium needs to be demolished, it’s absolutely awful. Let the clubs build their own stadium with their OWN revenues. In Rome, Roma have been dealing since 2012 with the Roman administration. OMFG.

Florence all the way for me. Specially with the idea of bringing the curves closer to the pitch.
Why demolish San Siro? That would be a sin.

Because it is old, and AC Milan, Internazionale and the city of Milan spend a lot of money every year for keep it.
@@larsjohansson660 I have been there and it is an amazing historical stadium and I'm not a Milan or inter fan. So according to your thinking we should have demolished also the Colosseum for example..

Italy without Sicily can never really be understood (Goethe) Not including Palermo is ridiculous
Italy's bid is a bit of a mystery? How will half of the stadiums look like? One thing is for sure. They need to remove the running tracks in Napoli, Bari, Bologna and Verona and include Roma's new 62.000 seater stadium.
I Am italian, I love football, but in this Moment in Italy we have problem that is bigger than improve the stadium, we don’t have too much money and the goverment waste it.
Bologna non ha la pista atletica
This bid is based on the absolute desperation for upgraded infrastructure in Italy. The stadiums are almost beyond repair at this stage.
Clubs like Fiorentina have wanted to build their own stadiums for years now and have been held back by local government and bureaucracy...other clubs also have had same issue. Clubs like Juve, Udinese, Atalanta, Frosinone got go ahead and build new stadiums
Yes, just like France in 2010: the French were desperate to get Euro 2016 because they knew they had not used World Cup 1998 to properly redesign their infrastructure. Yet UEFA did not perceive that as a reason to punish France's bid and handed them the competition. There is no reason why Italy should not benefit from the same treatment, though it doesn't help that the Italians don't have people like Platini and Sarkozy in 2010 to do their bidding.

Italian stadiums have not been renovated or newly built at all, but it is good to see that international competitions seem to be an opportunity to make progress, as was the case during the 1990 World Cup.

Sicily and Calabria are not included in that projects and it's absolutely wrong and unacceptable. 2) It's not possible to implement such projects oiled with public money excluding the Big and most Titled Clubs of the North such Juventus-Milan-Internazionale. 3) Demolishing Stadio San Siro is completely Out of Discussion and a Pure Madness. 4) The only Modern Stadium in the whole "Bel Paese" is that of the Juventus FC and it's been build with Private Capitals on Public Rented Soils so the Club should be given the opportunity to be financed by the Public Money the others Cities take for go ahead on further development of the Stadium and expand the capacity to 52.007.

Nice pictures, but only one of those is ready at the moment - bad chances to win the host of Euro-2032.
If they win the bid now they'll have enough time to renovate
@@octomagnus7029 I strongly believe UEFA would back Italy to host the euros in 2032 because even them want to see that Italy as a footballing nation deserve better Stadiums
Most of the Euro 2016 stadiums were not ready when France pushed its bid in 2009.
Italy is a stupid idea for a tournament, it's one of the best leagues in world football right now with the worst stadiums. Only 2-3 are purpose built for football and Italian clubs have neither money nor agency to do so with attendances so low. Why on earth would Italy choose to ignore Sicily and deny Palermo this opportunity?
Because Sicily and Palermo is not at the level of other Italian regions. Sicily is the third world... Before having the stadium it has to solve other problems. Listen to me...
