This is documentation of my Porsche 911 Restoration. This was an abandoned Porsche race car (A vintage porsche 1969 911S!) that I picked up at the end of 2019. I thought I'd do an original Porsche 911 restoration, but the chassis was so heavily modified that it didn't make any sense to try to bring it back to spec. It has a completely integrated roll cage, so doing a full restoration of this porsche was out of the question. So, I decided to do a "technomod"...it will have all the modern amenities available to modern cars but wrapped up in a vintage package. 📦 It's crazy to see how much progress has been done on this porsche restoration in just a year. Looking forward to finishing it by SEMA 2021!

This is a Porsche 911 restoration that was abandoned in 1994 after being converted to a race car. My plan is a twin turbo Subaru EZ30 porsche engine swap with 400+ HP to the wheels. Stay tuned.

10:58 looks like hot wheels zamac magnus walker porsche wow amazing nice work
Damn nice job on the rust repairs. 👍
“Just one guy in his garage!!” That’s like Tom Brady saying he’s just tossing the ball around. This was serious skill time, and know how. I saw CNC machined adaptor plates, steel work beyond any shop I’ve ever seen on YT. Well done, none the less.
I would have left it in race spec, respect the time gone into it tho
same man. if it was my choice and i had all the money i’d buy it race spec and then get a cheap older one to restore
still looks dope tho
My heart stopped when the engine fell...ouch!
You and me both, kid. :)
Perfect!!! I can't whait to see how is the result!
@@ejemplo-te9ln You can follow right along by subscribing brother!
:):):):)
I really can't fathom how one man could do this in his garage. To say I am in awe would be an understatement. I'm outta words, I tip my hat off to you sir.
Thanks man. Very kind of you Aiman!
Passion! The man in the video has it!
@@handle690 that is the key word. I'm doing the same thing, just a different vehicle.
It's easy to forget just how much work goes into getting it to certain points. Nice progress!
Yea, I just keep plugging away!
Great editing to tell the story of what you've done so far. Congrats for making so much progress towards your vision! Watching how this turns out is definitely something I look forward to in 2021!
Thanks for hanging out Tony!
Fantastic! I loved the timelapse retrospective, very well done nd put together. I have no doubt this many hours of work going into this build will be worth it. And it is awesome that you'll have a complete history of what has been done captured in video.
Indeed...if I sell it, they'll have a first hand experience of the build!
You have done a lot the past year, well done mate! Always looking forward to see an update, all the best for 2021!
I'll keep cranking them!
This video really puts into perspective the amount of work that has gone into this project. Amazing!
Yea, lots of things I've already forgotten about!
Tremendous progress! Awesome work. Man that rendering of your vision is just mental. I can't wait to see it completed, it sure as hell gonna break the interwebz!
Dude, the guy who did it *hand drew that stuff*. He's amazing.
One of the few people that when the say "That is my car" really mean "That is MY car"!! Really, really good work.
“ just a dude in a garage “ gimme a break. Hands of gold ! Your dog knows more about cars than most people ! I loved the project ! Thanks, “ old car guy “
Loving the recap. Admire your go get it attitude and vision!

Your skill levels are off the charts! so nice to see it been put back to road spec. :)
Thanks..well done for stitching all this together so far. Must be very satisfying to (rebuild) the Porsche. Keep the updates coming, looking forward to the final product.
Thanks Chris! Just released the 2nd video update.
Well, I just bumped in to the channel, and being a gear-head myself, I'm thrilled to keep watching this 911 project to come to life... It looks awesome, on a top shelf level like a Singer 911 ;) Keep rocking fellas!! Got yourself another sub

Well, you are too kind. I'm just winging it most of the time. :)
Very cool video, the time lapse is perfect. Cheers from the Finger Lakes!
You're an artist and not afraid of work ! Usually, it's the contrary that often happens, to turn a street car into a race car, but your whole job is wonderful. Think you were too modest telling you're a beginner ! Great job !
So cool to see a years worth of progress in 15 minutes - and to see the old San Diego "shop". :)
Yea, not much there. :)
Got all the help in that region big number of porsche enthusiasts back in day their newsletter was a magazine every other region newsletter two...six pages
Kudos!!! I really enjoyed watching this! Can’t wait to see next progress. Only the enthusiasts can understand.

You are doing an incredible job, something good has 2020, thanks for sharing.
Thanks TRC!!
That gave my Vertigo a good workout. Awesome work mate. Kudos! 🤘😎
Well done mate, I've been enjoying the build tremendously - even those steps which you worry about aren't too interesting to watch (e.g. last episode) are still really good! As you say, we're along for the journey!
Thanks Dan!
That was such a pleasure watching such a Craftsman at work...! You’re very talented and you do great work awesome video... thank you !!,,
Lots of respect for this build. Very cool to see lead filling, my grandpa did that, nice to see a dying art live on:)
Thanks Justin!
MIchael, fantastic video! You've done so much in a year. Well done man.
The crazy thing is, 95% has been since March!
Congratulation!!! fantastic job!!
Great to see the whole story in one video till now! :)
Thanks man!
How satisfying was that video.... it’s come such a long way ..... great video. Was also interesting to see how your garage developed in the background as time has gone by.
Totally! Well, the move helped a lot.
KILLER Michael!! Keep the dream alive my brother 🥃
Your project work is cool, I like the way you re doing it, without hesitating or sorrowing about ""new" challenging kinds of work. Good luck and all the best for You and your project from Sascha/Germany
Thank you Sascha! I'll be there this year visiting the Porsche factory.
Beautiful work sir.
Great progress. Really fun watching it come along. Also I see the Distinguished Gentleman's sticker on the door. I've done the Gentlemen's Ride on my '74 Honda the last 3 years. Super fun rally and a great cause.
Right on! I was the pace car in 2016!
Well done, congrats from Portugal
Thanks Fabio!
Excellent excellent job for just a dude in a garage brother there is passion in what you are doing and man you got it respect from Greece 👏👏👏👏🇬🇷
Thank you Nikos!!
Incredible work!

Thanks!
Great job. Respect👍
I really enjoyed your video and work!
I appreciate it Carlos!
love the time-lapse. :D
Thanks!
This man is phenomenal !!!
This is excellent, thanks for making this video
No problem. Thanks for watching!
Congratulations. Beautiful work. 👀👀👏👏👏👏
Thank you Pierre! Would love a sub if you are so inclined!
Wow definitely got my sub! That’s amazing.
Thanks Matt!
Lol I really liked the look of the race car! Each they're own, keep it up
If it were a 1974-1984 911, with the big square bumpers, it would make sense. But the 69-73 911's are highly regarded as the most beautiful era (which is why Singer goes with that era) so I wanted to highlight the originality while keeping the race car bits.
reallllllyyyy nice time laps , im in love ♥♥♥♥♥♥ , great job !
Thank you Jean-Jacques!
I hope this is the trailer. We need to see a more detailed version. You did some incredible work here.
I mean...there are 35 detailed versions on the channel. This was just a summary of the previous 35 videos. :)
Very good video...... At first i was upset you changed the original race body..... Then made it through entire video and realized you were doing just fine on this one !! Cannot wait to see finished car!
I think it's going to be *really* cool when it's done.
525.948.766 minutes of hard work boiled down to 14!! Work well done. Impressing.
Ha ha, yes!
amazing work
Awesome work man! This is going to become a lot more common with Baja Beetles too. As more and more affordable Beetles go back to the Earth.
I find this video more satisfying watching it in reverse but I'm a race car guy. Nice build!
Yea, but that was the wrong body to put on this longhood gem. we can agree on that, I hope.
difference between you and "professionals" is only in the tools used. you have the knowledge, keep up the good work! I loved it 👍
Thanks Martin. I could definitely use a tool upgrade. MAC, are you listenig? :P
OMG the patience and talent here is amazing! Where and how did you learn all the fabrication and body work?
That’s very kind of you. Most of these things I’ve never done before so you are seeing my first time attempting them.
Stunning
Amazing skills to be able to do this. Subbed.
Thanks man. Judging from your screen name, you're a Porsche guy. :)
Nice, real dedication and commitment.
Thanks James!
Would love a sub if you are so inclined!
Just a dude in a garage surrounded by other vintage Porsche cars and fab skills, welding experience, metal work experience, etc. Not just a dude in a garage but nice work all the same
Nice of you to say, but 95% of that was the first time I’ve ever attempted that stuff. Thank you nonetheless!
@@rennch. you’re just one of those guys that is good with his hands and I respect that. You’ve found your calling👍🏼
I just don't know better, so I keep going. Lol.
I am a furniture designer and maker and so I no well what it's like to machine parts to put together something that pleases the customer but I have to say your work was wonderful to follow and watch, well done pal, fine work that has made a master piece, thankyou.
Nice 👍 That’s awesome the Subi is gonna be a Fantastic engine!!!
I agree!
Fantastic video... I'd forgotten half the stuff you've done already.
You and me both Michael!
Just came here from the SmokingTire podcast, you seem like such a nice dude and your work is very impressive! Just subbed and I can't wait for the things to come!
Much appreciated man! I've got a couple of cool vids coming up!
MEGA THUMBS UP ! - totally subbed ! from a couple of novice / amateur builders ..we know it's an uphill struggle with a few hard lessons along the way ..Keep up the good fight ..the rewards are PRICELESS ! .. 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
Awesome, thank you!
great job! Best wishes from Germany nice Work!
Thank you very much!
👍👍 great time lapse
Glad you enjoyed it. (Would be a huge help if you'd spread the word to your FB groups/IG if you're so inclined!)
For a "dude in his garage", you're doing one amazing job. Heck, even if you were a pro doing this full time in a fully outfitted commercial specialty garage, I'd still be telling you how impressed I'd be! I hope you'll be keeping this sweet ride after iit's completed.
Well, thank you! I appreciate it!
Nice video man 👍 good job
Thank you Fadzrul! Where are you from?
You are an artist, and it was enjoyable to watch you approach different parts of the project with a new set of tools and craftsmanship. I cringed when the engine fell off of the jack and thought - what a mess - on several levels. Thank you for providing the step by step of your Porsche. I will continue to follow your progress. Sno Dawg
Awesome, thanks Jeff!
I really like your video. Great project and great work. All the best :-)
Thanks Adam!
The most satisfying 14 minute video indeed.🤘👌👍
THE most skilled "dude in a garage" i have seen in a long time.
That's very kind of you Adrian, thank you.
Very impressive professional and beautiful job .Best wishes and Respect
Thank you! Cheers!
Ive seen everyone of the videos and this time lapse piece provided a whole new perspective on how much progress has been made. Well done!
Thanks. I was thinking the same thing.

Thanks homie. Welcome!
@@rennch. No, Thank YOU from Canada. Cheers!
Thank you!
Good job guys and nice video.
Thanks Caz!
Wow you have amazing auto skills. I wish I had your skills
I would love to do something like this with an older 911. Maybe once I sell mine I will see if I can find one, maybe just a normal production one though! Great video!
Yea man...they are out there, but harder to find now. A 912 might be easier.
@@rennch. Yeah I have seen the prices are going up & up. 912 do seem to be the option. Good advice.
I liked and subscribed cuz I want to see you finish this car I love the green that you picked out and the rim and tire package looks awesome it's going to be nice when you're done really nice for something that yes you built in the garage and you did build it in the garage but it's nice man I really like it
Thanks Zach!
Muito detalhado muito bom trabalho 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Well the title wasn't lying. That was indeed SATISFYING! Really looking forward to seeing more so that's a sub from me!
