Abandoned under a tree to Ferrari engine, complete Alfa restomod in 15minutes - The Alfarrari

This old rusty 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 was abandoned under a tree. I pulled it out and rebuilt it from bare metal with a Ferrari 360 V8 engine, power steering, and air conditioning. I built my dream restomod entirely by myself in my garage.

  • I bought a 1974 GTV in 1978 for under $4000 from an Alfa dealer in Belmar NJ. It was 90% perfect. White with black interior. It was my pride and joy. Unfortunately my Dad got very sick and I was forced to sell so I could help with their bills. I have photos and they both elate and sadden me. Your build is the most envious car I’ve seen in my 74 years on this earth! Congratulations---

  • Jeff I really don't have the words... It's absolutely incredible how you took this rust-pitted pile of metal, had a vision of what it could be and painstakingly made it happen. I've followed this build from the start. I remember you telling us "This will not be a quick build." You weren't lying! Lol. Even 680G was around when it started, and that was SOOOO long ago! I'm glad you are enjoying the "finished" product despite the few gremlins to figure out. Congrats, bro! This is one of the best builds I've followed on YT. This should be made into a movie or a documentary.

    • Once of my motorcycles is a 90s Moto Guzzi that sat for 2 years in a dealership in Adelaide before I bought it. I made some mods and encountered some pushback from purists who told me it wasn’t what they would have done. My reply was that they had their chance to control the process by getting in first and buying it, and since they didn’t that perhaps they should shut the fark up. Critics are a dime a dozen. More power to Jeff, I say.

    • Wow, big call! I think purists love cars too, just in a different way. I personally love what Jeff has done with this particular car, given what it would have taken to restore it. However, I also love a pure Alfa or Ferrari. These 105’s in pure form are now attracting big money, but it takes as much to get them to that standard. Of course, money is only one consideration when restoring or modifying.

  • At first I thought, why is he spending so much time on a "basket case" body. Then I saw the modifications, then more modifications, then it made perfect sense. This transcends craftsmanship, this car is a work of fine art. A true masterpiece. I hit the subscribe button AS HARD AS I COULD.
