    • Why are there no boxing gyms? Thai, jits, grappling... all coach technique. Boxing gyms are just a conditioning class. Id like a video of how to structure a boxing training session for coaches. Love boxing. 2 gyms near me. Just want people in the door to do circuits. Not a single technique taught.

  • A very well timed video for me. I'm a college student that boxes 2-3 times a week. The coaches in the gym I go to aren't the best teachers and don't explain much. This channel is basically my true coach. I learn a lot here and then apply it after I get through the drills the gym coach tasks me to do. Practice the proper techniques and then try out the combos I learn.

Hahe I play a lot of doubles and I noticed my hand speed and strength isn’t as good as it was when I was younger, so for the past few months I have been using boxing techniques to improve my hand speed and strength. Coach it works and I am way faster and much stronger than I was before watching your videos, plus it’s nice to be able to move like this at the age of 51. Thank you coach.

  • I had food in my belly growing up but not a whole lot of extra funds. I certainly didn't have 100-200 bucks a month to spend on a boxing gym membership and still don't. Most gyms will let you join in on a group class for free and from there on you can drop in on a group class for like 20 or 25 bucks per class. My last class the coach reminded me of keeping the knees bent and using hips and legs to generate the power on those hooks but one thing that was new for me was standing across the bag at arms length, stepping in 1, 2 then step back to arms length again. My reach is about 68 in so pretty much everyone who is taller than 5 foot 2 has a reach advantage over me. Obviously I'm going to need to go back further than in the drill when I'm in the ring. The point of the exercise is to build muscle memory stepping a very specific distance over and over again. So that's my advice to everyone. Do some classes, learn the what and the why and then you're able to teach yourself those things when you're by yourself flashing back to those classes and those 15-30 second 1 on 1 lessons you get in the classes.

  • Great video. Especially the 'recording yourself' part works really well. I already did it for fencing, but at boxing training our instructor now also records the spar. I thought I was throwing decent punches, but it turned out I fought like a T-rex and never properly extended my arms. I had no idea it was that bad until I saw it. I'm probably going to give the workouts a try as well, though I'll be honest and say I'll save the last one for later. I'm in decent shape, but that one would end me.

One of the trainers wanted to get me an amateur fight. But, the owner of the gym was shady, and the gym closed. I was in my early 30s working all the time with kids, I did what I could, but it was fun sparing and training and stuff.

To me, it just brings a colourful side to your videos. I got stricken by a colorectal cancer in 2022 and I wanna get back to karate. Tal I want to improve my punching abilities and I am pretty sure your videos are a good way to go. • 'Easy for us to look at our good points rather than our mistakes'.. I think that highly depends on the kind of person you are lol. I am a dancer and when I look back my videos I only see the bad hahaha got to practice seeing myself in a better light. On the upside of it I do get better because I view myself critically and have the determination and motivation to push until I see better results!

  • If i didn't play football every week i would focus on boxing training. I still do 6 mins at the end of my 2 full body workouts and one 12 rounds x 3min every week on the heavy bag and a 90 min match

  • 7:03 the IDEAL system in spanish audio track, it is kinda weird since the meaning of each letter changes. For example instead of level up it says to show off.

  • I love your videos but please tighten the bag stand that's featured with the brown bag in the beginning of the video. Those bolts have to be loose. There's no way a beam like that should be moving that much.

  • My thing is that I feel like I can look flashy and stuff and probably look good and probably get to a DECENT level. Not saying a pro. But I am a noob and need to start somewhere. My thing I look at is footing as sometimes it feels off. But that also comes without practice and also shows how inexperience I am.
