  • Loving the Iranian crowd. Doesn't matter if their boy win or lose, they always cheer for good wrestling. Taylor got more cheers winning in Iran than he gets for winning back home in U.S.

    • I think both countries win from moments like this. It really doesn't matter which athlete won in this case. The respect and sportsmanship that they show each other afterward proves that people with strong philosophical and ideological differences can always find common ground if they look hard enough. In this case both athletes left it all on the mat and deserve a lot of credit. Yazdan is a true sportsman who represents his country well. I am an American and appreciate your class and humility; you also represent your country well.

  • amazing match! Yazdani's strong point is functional condition, I mean stamina, he is always pushing and pressing, that is his style. But Taylor is not weaker at that point and in the end of any match looks fresh, in addition he seems to me more flexible and has awesome ankle pick technics. Obviously David is more preferable, the result of this match is fair.

He carried a huge weight on his shoulders for his country and his body language wasn't just someone who lost a big match. He got pinned, at home, in front of his people (who love him) by a brash American in a match he was winning. It appears to me me takes representing Iran seriously and it isn't just about a wrestling match. I respect that and the obvious love Iranian wrestling fans have for great wrestling regardless what is on the singlet. Anyway. two great wrestlers in an epic fight.

  • I called yazdani winning Olympic gold before most people knew he was even alive... Everyone said Geduev vs Burroughs in the finals and no one even knew he was alive... Now, yazdani is still 22 years old and just adjusting to 86kg.... he moved up from 70 to 74 to 86 kg in three back to back tournaments if I am not mistaken... thats a transition of greater than 35 lbs... All wrestlers know how immense that is... All I am saying is I still favor yazdani over both taylor and cox, as well as burroughs, without a doubt...we will soon find out...

  • Yazdani had just moved from 74kg to 86kg category, and he was 5.1/2kg lighter , he should have never wrestled as he also said himself that he hadn't yet completed the transition hence why he burnt out , ran out of fuel, you will never see this happening again.

    • Darius Kasian , EXCUSES by you. Should have more Strength and Endurance when bumping up. Not only are you full of excuses, you're full of shit.

    • Who just one the gold in Paris ha? Was just giving you facts as what happened not excuses but you don't get it since your brain is full of shit, intact that loss did wonders and as I said this won't happen again. Specially by someone like Taylor.

    • Darius Kasian What if Sadulaev would have been at 86 kg?To say that Yazdani would beat him for sure would be crazy.I hope we gonna see them soon competing against each other.

      @bogdanbahura7202@bogdanbahura72026 жыл бұрын
    • Sadulaev is also one of the best technically and physically, he is now wrestling at 97kg, considering that Yazdani just moved from 74 to 86kg, maybe they'll meet in a few years. Same happened to Sadulev in Paris getting beat by Snyder of US, if you watch the match he looks to be lighter he gets the initial points but tires out in the second round. I'm sure he will beat Snyder next time they meet.
