CraigBond is a Gangster: nebula.tv/videos/cinemawins-c...
James Bond! No Time to Die is coming! Isn't it weird that Bond films never have his name in the title? Like, have you ever missed a Bond film because you didn't realize it was a Bond film? And when people go looking for Bond films on KZhead, do you think they type "James Bond Movie?" Do you think that I probably think that which is why I've typed Bond 7 times now? Casino Royale! Some loved it, some hated it. Also don't you feel like there already is a Bond movie called No Time to Die? Here's everything right with Casino Royale either way!

  • About the poker game: They are playing a high stakes cash game in tournament style. Increasing blinds and antes until everyone has all the chips, in this case, they are worth their dollar value. Winning players usually tip the dealers after winning, not mandatory but appreciated. Since that money it's not Bond's, he couldn't care less if he tips $500k. The dealer is appreciative of the tip, not expecting it. You can bet that deep down he's screaming with joy.

The only people to change in the movie are Moneypenny and Mallory, and they are side characters. All the main characters remain the same throughout the movie, and all James Bond learns by the end is how to kill someone with a knife instead of a gun. That's why Casino Royale is a better story.

  • Just wanted to mention a moment that I loved in this film: When Bond tells Vesper the password. Look at her face. She sees how much she means to him, so implicitly. He bet over a 150 million pounds on her name and held on regardless of torture and near-death. And in that moment, she also knows that she has fallen for him because of his bravery and loyalty and love and now she must live with the horrific betrayal that she will make. Throughout her scenes, watching her in hindsight really gives Eva Green’s performance new light. You see that guilt as Bond warms to her and then opens to her. And it is the culmination of all that in the password word reveal that hits her like a ton of bricks. Which makes it doubly hard for an audience rewatching Casino Royale, knowing what’s coming. Goes to show what an airtight script, detailed direction and excellent actors can create. It’s the best Bond yet (at least until No Time to Die arrives!)

    • My take is that Bond chose the password 'Vesper' so that if he succumbed to torture, he could scream her name. The torturer would (hopefully) not realise that it was the password, just think it was Bond being in agony and anguish and calling the name of the woman he (sort-of) loved. It's a very calculated move, rather than a romantic one.

      @Grim_Beard@Grim_Beard4 жыл бұрын
    • @@Grim_Beard That is unrealistically brilliant. It gave me a great idea though- If I'm ever in charge of a very important password, that I get to choose, and if there is ever a possibility that I will be tortured for it, I will choose "Fuck you" for my password.

Quantum of Solace had that great opera sequence and Spectre had quite a few itself including that epic opening sequence that looked like it was captured in an unbroken single shot but Skyfall and especially Casino Royale were solid throughout. I'll usually watch a portion of Skyfall when it's on television but I will pick up Casino Royale at any point in the film and nine times out of ten watch it until the end. Daniel Craig was the first Bond I truly believed when the character was in action. Connery was Playboy suave with a streak of ice running through his veins, Roger Moore was mostly a quipping fop, George Lazenby pretty vanilla but serviceable, Timothy Dalton had potential but needed deeper material, Pierce Brosnan met Connery's suave, GQ look and could be icy but the character was on the thin side, and along came Craig -- that perfect blunt instrument.

  • I'm a fan of the Bond movies and its character since I watched "Goldfinger" when I was 10 years old. Later on, I've watched also the movies before it, learned to appreciate them and the actors who played this outstanding figure. But nobody convinced me more than Mr. Craig. In my opinion, he plays James Bond with the highest commitment of all Bond actors. It's him I believe the most, although he started to hate playing this role. But he's such a remarkable actor that he still commits 100 percent to the role, as it's his job. Fortunately, we can be glad that this franchise has brought to us so many great movies with great actors. But in my humble opinion, Mr. Craig stands above all them. I hope that whoever will get casted as his successor will bring in the same passion and commitment that Mr. Craig had

There's even a moment beforehand where he adjusts his shirt and tie a little, which might imply adjusting his guise, but it's never directly stated. But the fact that Bond EITHER did that or your version is actually a really good theme of this theme: what is going on in Bond's head is constantly in question, and that drives most of the film's drama!

I still remember seeing it with my dad and my sister Cara opening weekend , dad was so disappointed Many fans lost their minds seeing a blonde, blue-eyed Bond even though Roger Moore was technically a blonde too But the movie thankfully made over $616 million and was loved by critics It rebooted the franchise after being nearly decimated by Die Another Day self-parodying itself and being plagued by stupid scenarios many of the other films suffered Felt refreshing being more darker, serious, and closer to the character of Bond Ian Fleming wrote Daniel Craig is a perfect James Bond next to Sean Connery His first outing is perhaps the purest example of Bond being willing to strip the character to his bare bones and then rebuild in a way that works for modern audiences - and, crucially, the actor playing Bond This was also my first introduction to Mads Mikkelsen and Eva Greene Vesper Lind is one of my favorite Bond girls Judi Dench is still the best M Love the action set pieces, the disposal of the silly one-liners, and the lack of gadgets Breathtaking scenery and a fantastic score by David Arnold That song by the late Chris Cornell is still so catchy So glad this was a less-jokey take on the franchise and it helps director Martin Campbell also did Goldeneye previously A very long movie yes but remains a caustic, intense, haunted re-invention of 007 thats more mature So happy they started over from scratch even if people were outraged at first Really glad my dad was a James Bond fan and then I became one

  • LOVE Casino Royale. I auditioned for an A Capella group with a verse and a chorus from “You know my name” in the opening credits. I haven’t seen the other Craig bond movies yet, but they’re on my list. You did a good job analyzing this movie. Showed me a bunch of things I’d missed. I really appreciate it when you manage to do that for movies I love and have already seen a dozen times. This is my semi-weekly request for a video: Hook. I love it, my family loves it. Some of my friends said it was the worst Peter Pan movie. I think it’s one of Robin Williams’ most unique performances.

  • I actually like the idea that a 00 agent requires 2 confirmed kills on record before they are given the status. As for the "License to Kill" I figured that just means he does not have to seek approval from parliament to execute a target, basically a way to clear up red tape.
