ABANDONED BARN FIND - Complete restoration of an Volkswagen Golf 2 from 1989 in one Video.
In September 2021 we decided to buy an abandoned Volkswagen Golf MK2 GTI, which was standing in a field for 14 years.
The whole Restoration took us about 8 months and nearly every second of my freetime. But it was worth it and now the car is looking amazing and is ready for a second chance!

  • Sehr schön, wie viel Liebe ins Detail gesteckt wurde. Ich habe auch noch ein G2 Projekt in dunkelblau Metallic stehen. Macht mir Mut, dass es möglich ist, es alles selbst zu machen. Mein Daily NZ wird nebenher, als Low Budget Projekt, immer schöner. Es macht spaß mit den eigenen Händen ein Stück Kulturgut am leben zu halten. Ich wünsche Dir auch weiterhin viel Erfolg und Spaß mit deinem Corrado Projekt.

  • Ich hatte Ende der 90er meinen 91er GTI 16V mit 42tkm gekauft. Musste den dann leider mit Getriebeschaden wieder 7 Jahre später abgeben bei über 200tkm. Dem heule ich heute noch hinterher. Insofern habe ich mit lachendem Herzen deinen Aufbau sehen dürfen! Farbe? Geschmackssache, aber der 19E war schon eine geile Kiste! Schön, dass du den wiederbelebt hast!

  • Haven't watched it yet, but am about to. Makes me miss all my built MK2's. Such fun cars when they're setup properly with decent parts. Mk2 VR or mk2 1.8t are pretty much ideal daily drivers IMO.

  • I have a dream, that one I will make an old car that was manufactured in my home country, having a similar aspect. Clean and tidy little pocket rocket. I know its crazy, I'm talking about a Dacia 1410 pick-up 2003 4x4, giving a classic face of a Dacia 1300 (similar look to Shifterosa), but with newer underpinnings (5 wheel nuts, 1.6l Mpi 4x4 etc). It will need some upgrades though. Like the boot lid, the older gen had written large on it "DACIA". If a caddy can go clean and low, a Dacia should too 😂❤. Sorry for my long off topic dreams and wishes. I can say I have a vision, and your Golf is inspiring. Great job!
