There exists, in an anonymous industrial estate near to one of Britain’s major airports, an Aladdin’s cave of JDM wonder.
It’s called HJA (Harlow-Jap-Autos) and is run by two brothers who have grown it into an internationally renowned business that imports specialist Japanese models to the UK.
You’ll find Imprezas, Evos, RX-7s and Supras inside, but HJA’s bread and butter is the Nissan Skyline GT-R. There’s always a full spectrum of R32, R33 and R34s on offer, from untouched standard cars to outrageous tuned models built by some of Japan’s premier tuning houses.
When Top Gear Magazine’s Tom Ford visited, there was also a rather special NISMO CRS, Europe’s one and only, with a price tag not far shy of seven figures. Look but don’t touch, Tom…

400r...most skyline fans dont really consider it one of the greats as mentioned but i like underdogs and to me being the first all out nismo product in the gtr family really makes it the OG in my opinion. (late edit) if we leave the hakosuka out of this then id say the 400r is the OG.
Z-tune or CRS, but that autoselect GT-R "yellowshark" is my dream looking skyline GT-R 34, the ones they built GT-R 34 are mental and looks epic

Friends racing r34. Simply an outstanding build! For depth of detail to these cars are produced people undersell the time, effort, R&D tunning it takes to make it drive flawless. When you take into consideration of everything, these cars are a bargain and pretty much run rings around any mordern day supercar.

thank you so much for not leaving the JDM guys out in the cold. I'd appreciate it if you could find some of the 80's JDM cars as well, because so many people get stuck in the 90's and stay there, like the GTRs and JZA80s.

Unpopular opinion...as cool as GTRs are the prices are now just not worth the product, even the special ones are just not that special, just because it has a carbon oil cap and a gold cam cover does not make it special. Its just a nicely tuned GTR no more no less.
Nismo tax that's why, i do agree with you though, i have loved Japanese cars since the mid 90's but have started to loose interest due to the stupid prices they are now getting to, one of the biggest draws for me was the affordability for performance, the cars just aren't worth the prices people want for them these days

I still have a poster on my wall of that Sunline Racing R34. I remember watching a very early video of it taking lumps out of the Tsckuba track and setting record times...the noise out of it and its dump valves!!! Oh Lord. I would love to spend an hour or two looking/drooling around that showroom. Just a real pity you need to be a millionaire these days to get hold of the keys to some of the Skylines. For me, the ultimate R34, apart from the latest CRS cars and the Z-Tune, is the Mine's tuned cars. They are just next level altogether.

Imagine paying 1million for a 1998 Nissan Altima!!!! The price is definitely in the nostalgia and legacy this car has embedded into our culture.
I remember seeing the motive dvd r34 at sydney dragway at a gtr festival, i believe. It was chrome green then. Definetly looks much better as a midnight purple car now.
i love my r33 gtr. midnight purple, top secret body kit. a lot of people dont like the r33 but its by far my favorite of the gtr's.

Personally, i loved the R33GT since i first saw one in Japan back in 1997. It's a bucket list car for me. I would love to get one and properly covert it to LHD. 💖💪🏆

Just skipped right over the creme de la creme, the STP Taisan Group A R32. That car (to me) is the most valuable in the entire garage. I also thought HJA sold it a while back?

The Top Secret R33 - I remember having the issue of Max Power with this and the Top Secret Supra as the feature. Both blew me away as a kid and that R33 is the reason why the 33 would be my choice of GTR.

I have been following their social media for years. Sadly for the seven years I was in the UK I always struggled with money and could not afford a proper JDM car. I now live in a country that is not very RHD friendly, and my LHD STI simply do not scratch my JDM itch well enough.

The top of the pyramid is the R33 Nissan GTR-LM the only one they used for homologation when they entered the 24 hours of lemans in 1995

同じニスモのコンプリートでも400Rとかもっと売れるかと思ったらR33の全然人気なくて台数が少なかったですが、R34Z－tuneとか１万キロ以下の程度の良い中古車を仕立てるつもりが台数がそろわなかった為に予定してた２０台すら作れなかったので欲しくても買うことが出来なかったです。ニスモは需要に対するミスマッチが当時った気がする。しばらく前ならR34とか300万から500万円で買えたのに、異常な値上がりで怖いことになっていますね。
