More About "She":
In the dystopian landscape of London in 2091, a male and a female service android find themselves marooned in an apartment following the city's evacuation. Decades later, a curiosity awakens in the female android, compelling her to question the unknown beyond their door. This sparks a profound debate between the two androids, as they grapple with the conflict between adhering to their programmed directives and the burgeoning sentience within the female android-a concept that eludes the comprehension of her male counterpart.

I made this film as a metaphor for our human experience: that relationship you should move on from, that job you need to let go of, that jump of faith you're delaying. Did you catch these undertones? How much time are you willing to wait?
Title sounds familiar.
Well done
@@MikkiThaiGuy13thank you!!
Excellent film. I love these kinds of stories.
@@lawerancedodd690My hope was to generate a tiny spark 🔥 in every viewer. Thank you for watching.
The sun comes out every day...in London? I think she's been inside too long. Seriously, well done Eugenio, cast and crew. I'd love to know more of SHE's story. What lies ahead...? 👏👏👏
More to come!
@@EugenioVillamar good.
I feel like this is a message of hope regardless of the lifeform (robot or human). It's almost as if the message is "the show must go on". As long as the sun comes up.
correct!!!
That's a very intelligent take ! I love your lateral thinking brother! (Or sister!)
I like the subtlety of this and how it’s not dependent on blatant action scenes. It’s quite a philosophical piece and makes you think. The ‘less is more’ visuals give just enough to make you want to see more and see this as a full film.
I truly appreciate your comment. Sometimes it’s difficult to read between the lines of simplicity. That’s why some people are more worried about what is outside rather than truly understanding a quite simple dilemma which goes deeper into the philosophical. I tried to give weight to every single word and went through many drafts over several years. Believe it or not it is fifteen year old script that stayed in a drawer and suddenly became relevant not because of technology but because we are in the verge of questioning our own existence as humankind. Thank you for watching.
It seems to be a metaphor for the bumbness of blind obiedience when it conflicts with reality. I liked it.
Thanks for watching!!
Was almost hoping She said the ones that gave the orders could not possibly be alive 100 years later so we don't need to follow those orders.
Great observation!
Masters can think upfront, so their orders can be extension of their human life.
@@tiotiti9893 don't explain why she's falling in the end.. Any clue?
There's plenty here to be curious about. Why did the people abandon the cities? Where did they go, and why didn't they come back? It seems clear they intended to come back or why have the androids protect their homes? Why did they leave their androids behind? What will she discover in her explorations? Will she find out what happened to the humans? So plenty of reasons to be curious for more. :)
That guard's work ethic reminded me of the dish Washer's Creed. "Ours is not to reason why, ours is but to wash & dry". LOL
Lol. Nailed it.
Or the pig farmer. “Ours is not to reason why, ours is but to clean the sty”. Norman Stanley Fletcher. 😊
Sorry, this isn't a short film. It's not even a trailer for a short film. It's a scene from a trailer for a short film. With a lot of shirtless men, for some reason.
So strong a little story! For the question "What do you expect to find?" I thought she would answer "Myself". But she showed it. Thanks to all creators of this movie!
Thanks for watching!!
I think that it's a miracle that this female robot was able to go against her programming and think for herself.
A glitch in her programming perhaps, if she were organic we might call that a mutation. Or evolution. If the program is capable of learning maybe it's evolved into something more?
Do you really think the robot is real?
I think it is amazing that approx. 7 billion humans are unable to go against their programming / indoctrinations and are unable to think for themselves. History may view religions as the scurge that they really are but not anytime soon.
L O L ! 😅
@@Anlushac11 I think it is amazing that approx. 7 billion humans are unable to go against their programming / indoctrinations and are unable to think for themselves. History may view religions as the scurge that they really are but not anytime soon.
This is incredible. The story, the cinematography, the whole thing. Ooffhh letting go… such a powerful message. Congrats to everyone involved in this project. Well done 👏🏼👏🏼🔥
Thank you for watching!!
I can only give my opinion on this film....for every service being given there's always a main reason why is followed! We teached our kids to obey, if they know the reasons why, their attitude to comply is well displayed! "She" humanoid seviced it to that degree!
Thanks for watching!
Loved the opening shots. The silence, the emptiness.
The sun comes up. The sun goes down. We have choices to make with the time we have. Sadly, my experience is that few go beyond allowing the dust to settle on their 'busy' lives. She looks for purpose. Sadly she will find very few travel companions. She will always be different, an unwelcome interruption to what is 'normal'. Thank you. May it cause us to think about the bigger questions ...
Most beautiful and profound comment so far! Thank you for watching.
She will have a great future!
I just want to see what is she going to face out there!!!
surprise surprise!
Us too!! What's next @EugenioVillamar?
@@watchdust two words: world expansion!
So robots value property above people. Then a rogue robot values itself above its directives. What could possibly go wrong? Maybe that is why all the people ...disappeared.
That's an interesting hypothesis!
You have no idea what you have done... Thank you.... You can change the world... I am looking forward watching you When you don't stop being yourself. No matter what
Dust... always amazing... I love the mystery u guys produce in ur short films
Interesting video. I love the abandoned landscape of London and the cinematography is beautiful. I appreciate the male drones juxtaposed against the female sentience. I watched it in 5.1 theater mode to try and do justice to the DP & Director. Way better than watching on a phone. Ending seemed a little short, it would have been nice to see her step across the threshold or get a shot of her exiting the building and direct sunlight hitting her face.
Thanks for watching as it was intended. You're right, maybe that shot outside would've given us more conclusion, yet I wanted to leave it open for the viewer to think about their own exit in the metaphor of their human life. I truly appreciate the comment.
Excellent. I'm somewhat fond of endings that leave the audience talking about what happened next.
Would like to see more.... The photography was first class.
Thanks for watching!!
How many times do you wait for something despite the fact that "it" has not come to where you desire it yet? And why do people come to get away from "it" as the years go by? You may call "it" expectation; at least I do. SHE got crushed by her own one.
London 2091? I was in London in 1973. I even walked over that Tower Bridge. Funny...; I never noticed any Palm Trees there. Yet I see them in this video. "Global Warming?"
Ditto 2004 _____
There are palm trees of various sorts planted in lots of London locales. Sounds like it's time to visit again 😁
@@AenesidemusOZ I'm assuming you mean in (local) Green Houses. Not out in the open. I would not attempt to grow a Palm Tree on my property in Massachusetts, USA. It regularly goes below freezing during the winter. However, I would in a temperature regulated green house. I did visit one of those in London in 1973. The Palm Trees in the video appeared to me to be out in the open. I know they are growing Redwoods in the open over there these days. Perhaps someone (evolved) created a cold temperature Palm tree in 2091?
@fjdarling take a look at photographs or any street-level imagery of London. There are a variety of palms planted, and thriving, there.
@@AenesidemusOZ Notice they did not answer you. They had their opinion, let everyone know they live in the USA (enough said?) and that was enough for them. It took less than 5 seconds to actually query the internet, which too few people bother to do before commenting.
Great film! And yes the subject of moving on is very clear. I especially love how the “sentries” stick blindly to their orders/jobs/relationships as if the already ended world will end even more if they were to peruse their dreams.
Thank you for watching!
HEY!!! i leave this shit on autoplay and go to sleep. CAN YOU PLEASE not shout at me at the end of the vid to subscribe! mix the audio properly.
it's always a female biting the ''apple'' first... driven by emotions, [curiosity is an emotion...]
Correct!!!
Yeah, that's why women historically were the risk takers and discovered the new world.
duh, wish it was a full movie. Bravo, very nice !!
Thank youuu
I like the ending.
Thank youuu.
Well done. I liked the palm tree additions. Also, maybe by 2091 I'll be in that good of shape.
Leap of Faith! Great job!
yessssss
Although I get the underlying messages and similarities of our own lives and existence but I feel that this short film could certainly pave the way for a longer foray into a possible future for these, "Guardians". Nice work!
Thanks for your comment!! More to come

great quote!! Thanks for watching
Love the future vision of London! Beautiful little sci-fi
Glad you liked it! The crazy thing is that the shots of London are totally real, pandemic madness.
Great concept. I love scifi!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent Directing and acting for a short low budget film. The message was spot on.
Thank youuu
The cinematography sets the theme very well. But I have to concur with previous speakers that the story needs a conclusion. E. g. with only little screentime, she could come back some years later and tell it herself.
I hope there will be more stories of "She". This is just a beginning. Hopefully one day a live action version comes along... once there's more story to work with. What will "She" find?
Agreed!
Very interesting.... Great continuation material.
Thank you for watching!
Very realistic on point and true. No one ever comes back. First thing I ever watched with the cold hard truth of the matter
Thank you for watching!!!
I liked the premise, can be expanded into a full length movie.
You’re right. Imagine the possibilities of what is out there!
Love the message: what are you waiting for?
Let's go!!!
Servant is not waiting, he just serve
Oh, another dystopian future. Never seen one of these before.
Cautionary tale as usual!
Well that's 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I'm so tired of these short films that are nothing more than concepts. Tell a f****** story!
I love the metaphor -- what are we waiting for?
exactly!!
Godot
So many good endings were missed in this video. The potential was great but ignored. I believe it would have been good.
Synchronistic 💫🔥💚 yes, its time to step into the unknown and leave the past in the past💃

Nice work. Look forward to the continuation of the story.

The Outro audio is so much louder than the main video. It is an uncomfortable sudden transition. Please equalize it. Thank you.
Was the protaganist's clear raincoat a reference to the Zorah Salome character in Blade Runner? That final scene felt like her run to escape Deckard

There Will Come Soft Rains, by Ray Bradburry.
Wow, you just blew my mind. I read “There Will Come Soft Rains” the year I wrote this script fifteen years ago. Incredible that you found the parallels. Kuddos for being a literary master!
Sara Teasdale.
Core of something interesting but so many questions and no answers: Why were cities evacuated and where did they evacuate to? And why did no humans return? Are they all dead? Who or what was in the lobby watching the Fem-Bot make a run for the main doors? Are they locked? What is outside? Why did the Fem-Bot tilt sideways then the screen to black - then it just ends.
I totally agree with you. What's next is a world of possibilities.
Decades Later, seams like this has been festering since the humans left. How did it take the A.I. so long too come to the conclusion to leave, and what is on the other side of the door is not always Greener Grass. If she opens the door, and a machine gun or grenade is the first thing after the sun to hit her body. So many unknowns, I wonder if this A.I. is smart after all? So many other service bots in this building, one might have orders to destroy any bot that leaves the building, the hunt begins...
You're actually not far off from what is coming in the story development. Thanks for watching and letting yourself imagine the possibilities.
Well, now I want more.
Haha more to come!
Bravo!💯👍!
