  • I have the original ROG Claymore, and I absolutely love having the removable num pad. Unfortunately everything else about it ranges from average to bad. I've had chemo treatments that were more bearable than using ROG software.

      @jGRite@jGRite2 жыл бұрын
    • @@jGRite Believe it out not, much worse. It frequently just stops working, and the only fix is to re-install. But when you uninstall, it doesn't clean up after itself and leaves little bits of the program all over the system. You have to seek out and manually delete the little bits of software, .dll files and even delete registry keys to make sure the re-install works.

The biggest problem with Romer-G was the little plastic nubs on the keycaps eventually break and getting replacement caps kind of sucks because the only place to get them will usually be from the OEM. • While I really like the innovations made to increase the stability and LED placement of the switches, I really wish they’d apply similar effort toward developing a less archaic design for stabilizers themselves. It’s so annoying that we have to go through a bunch of modifications in order to make stabilizer keys sound alright, and even then it’s really difficult to get them to sound good consistently. I’d be really interested in trying out these switches and it’s good to hear that the switches and stabs will come lubricated, but I’d also like to know whether there is any sound dampening foam used inside the board to help make it sound less hollow. Doesn’t seem like it? Though it didn’t sound too bad anyway.

You could compare 130$ range like Corsair k70, Steelseries apex 7, Razer blackwidow v3, Hyperx Alloy Elite 2, Logitech 815 etc, so not a flagship category, but very close to a what most games would be willing to pay. All i trust now is cherry switches, (daily driver is a corsair k70 rapidfire) and never going back to logitech for keyboards atleast.

      @meknowu1@meknowu12 жыл бұрын
    • @@maldnomyar If you're satisfied with it then there's no need to switch tbh. In my experience, the romer g is a very scratchy switch and for some reason I was having some trouble typing even after 1 year of using it. I've tried gateron yellows and kailh box whites and I prefer them over the romer g as they are more satisfying to type on and I don't really have any problems typing on them. The good thing about romer g tho is they are silent and good for office use or if you don't want to disturb anyone.

  • The moment I noticed how the keycaps are mounted to the switch I got Logitech flashbacks. They mounted their Keycaps the same way on their Romer-G Switches and a leg literally broke off every time you had to pull a keycap of. It's great for lightning and sure, the keycap is more stable with this but its horrible for replacing worn keycaps and if they are so finicky like the Logitech Romer-G Switches than good luck.
