Full restoration pipe threading machine | Restoring old machine
........................Restoration VR......................
I founded the youtube channel with passion. Many rusted or broken metal tools are often discarded if not restored. Look forward to your support of my channel. Many tools will be reused for reuse. It is simply sharing skills, or simply entertainment videos. Thank you

Very beautiful place, nice green landscapes.
Non Posso Solo Che Molto In Gamba
I have actually operated a machine much like this. A little bigger and the well was full of cutting/cooling oil. As a kid, I thought it was very old in 1962. Worked well tho.
I fixed a bunch of them in the 80's. They put basically the same machine on a tripod for field use and plumbers use them. Nobody breaks stuff like plumbers.
Yep, late 70's for me. Rigid model, did up to I think a 2" pipe, or 1" rod, remember having lots of different dies for it.
@@carlthor91 This is US Rigid machine, I've used this type of model.
@@UnyahPe1601 Yep, looks to be a 1215, I used a 535.
Colleagues Internet users are right about the need to buy or make at least an uncommon assembly table. The back is too overloaded! The repair of the old electric threader is correct, but it seems to me that the thread die is already worn. A lot of hard work, congratulations and best regards 😀.
Welcome to another magical "mudrestauration" in flip-flops
I like how the aluminum case had brown rust on ot
And with hens in the background

I, as others remember a machine very similar to this one, Made by Ridge Tool Co, for many years the top maker of pipe tools, and very popular; "Some day you will wish you had a RIDGID tool!" Whatever make this particular machine is, it is very similar to the Ridgid 400 power vice. I first used one in the mid sixties, then much later actually bought one for the Maintenance department at work...that was around 1992. Far as I know, it is still working like new. Never had a problem with rust, as the parts were always well supplied with oil during normal operation! NEVER use water or a water based cutting fluid! Use only cutting oil, available in light or dark. I always used dark, as a can came packed with the machine, and it was quite satisfactory. By the way, the original power cord was very heavy, #10 I believe, as it drew a lot of amps when under load cutting threads in 2" pipe! It also was controlled by a foot switch, and had a reversing switch.
L'ho usata tanti anni ero idraulico.

What in the hell is using water?😢 I use the same pipe machine every day. It has to be oil. Not water. But I give him an a for trying
👍👍👌👌
He’s a fraudster and doesn’t care 😠
The man @kfourom is right you cant use water, threading oil go's in the bottom.
Cleaning the surface from rust and painting - is not a restoration without fixing it's geometry. Parts are horribly wobbling, and the thread quality you got is total fail. Also machine oil has to be used instead the water. Watch videos how to work with portable diestock with adjusted jaws, and how to sharpen them.

Yes, greetings 😀.

I see they had steel toed sandals in today's fashion, Ha. Evapo rust would save you hours of time.

poor restoration threading not good tools worn

It's a cute video to show the workings and concept of that machine, but by no means is it restored to usable condition. Many others below have stated the obvious stuff like you can't use water instead of oil to lube and there were a ton of parts that were not lubed up on reassembly. To actually restore it to working condition there were more than a few parts that would have needed replacing or machined new. Keep up the good work and keep honing your skills. You certainly put in effort on these videos.

Great work❤

Hello Eblan. Great job. What's the name of your friend? Pi Do Ras?
Wow!!!! Floors me how you take something totally apart, many many pieces and then get it back together in working order. Enjoy watching
great restoratoration another comes back to life great job
No where near a restoration, more like butchering. These guys have very, very little engineering knowledge. Hammering cast aluminium and steel guide rods with a large steel hammer is ludicrous, this will cause swelling and deformation, I saw a soft faced hammer, but the steel hammers were used. No cleaning of bearing surfaces and very little lubrication on moving parts. Soluble oil or straight oil should be used when cutting threads, not water. There are so many errors that I wonder whether it is just us few engineers making comments to correct these actions are being outweighed by the non-engineers or friends of the originator.
THANKIOU
Dirty work
Sand blasting would be appreciated...
omg what a botch .... yeah you have dump a little bit color over the electrochemical metal working machine and say then " hey look i are the king of restore " lol ... but 1) the machine need OIL ON ALL THE SLIDING SURFACE AND NOT WATER 2) the machine too OIL FOR THE THREADING 3) the machine need grind threading die then looking the not more so like 29:26. but so is the machin only scrap metal HAHA
Fake .
