    • It seems like the 2001-2003 episodes again, they've slotted straight back in. Look the same too, I guess they started aging a bit towards the end of the 80s. In the early episodes del stlll looks really young, you wouldn't think he was in his 40s

  • This sketch was written by Jim and David Sullivan, the sons of the late John Sullivan, creator and writer of Only Fools and Horses who died in 2011. Jim and David put the sketch together, using some unused material their father had left behind in his files at home.

    • Yes I smacked of their father's talent, which obviously passed down to a new generation. Let's hope they use it wisely. And Yes I agree that David Beckham was great in his role much to .y surprise. Could he have an other string to his bow one wonders?

  • David Jason still doesn’t miss a beat. The greatest British comedy of all time. Heartbreaking that roger Lloyd pack is no longer with us. He would have slotted brilliantly into that episode. All legends of their crafts. There’ll never be another like it. Only fools and horses, as funny today as it was when it first aired.

    @tripuzlgaming4313@tripuzlgaming43134 жыл бұрын
    • Nah, stuff like this just rehashes the same old jokes and catch phrases and degrades the memory of when it was a great show. Obviously this was done after John Sullivan died, and the late comedy writer slipped up after making another Christmas trilogy after 'Time on our Hands', which in my opinion is the canon ending of this show. It's like with Red Dwarf, should've ended at the finale of season six. And Ricky Gervais shouldn't have done 'Life on the Road', just became a mockery what I consider to be the greatest British comedy show of all time, The Office.

    • Anyone ever thought that the craziness that surrounds him comes from being married to Victoria and her desperate need to be in the limelight all the time. I often think that his life, especially after he retired from football, would have turned out completely different if he hadn't been married to her. I know he played football for both Manchester United and England and was a really good player but you don't see the same amount of 'celebrity' status amongst the other England and United players both current and past and in fact you don't even see it with the rest of the former Spice Girls! I think we can safely say who wears the trousers in that relationship!

I first "discovered" it when I was in Canada but I already knew David Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst, and Roger Lloyd-Pack from other shows that were broadcast here on PBS. I finally got around to watching it online and ended up binge-watching the whole series because it was so enjoyable. They blended humor and pathos brilliantly. Seeing them reprise their roles like this is a real joy!

Just seems weird someone else saying it to him. Especially David Beckham. It was largely Del Boy's character and his relationship with Rodney that makes that comment funny imo. The buildup and the fall at the end was genuinely funny though.

By the way - you missed Blackadder, Dads Army, Red Dwarf and The Young Ones from the list! I’m also found of The Brittas Empire and Bottom, whilst recognising they’re not held in the same tier as the top level comedies. Similarly, think TV as a whole has fallen drastically. Bring back Saturday morning ‘magazine shows’ for kids, Grandstand in the early afternoon, and wholesome family shows in the evening (miss the days of Gladiators, Noel’s House Party, Big Break and the like) Sigh...

This year proved that more than ever. Also, probably the one and only thing that is a universal concern for all human beings is their health - because ultimately, it can be a life or death situation. Governments and the WHO know this, so they take full advantage of it, leading us on. And they will continue to do so as long as we let them.
