  • I love being an INFJ but sometimes it’s rough fitting in with “society”. All we ever want to do is help others but when it comes time for us to get help people abandon us. We give so much but are rarely understood so the part where it says we’re lonely really resonates with me. I don’t have hardly any “true” friends because I could see through people’s facade very easily so I tend to stay away from fake people with ulterior motives. I am a very loving person who has so much to offer and I’m lucky my family and husband values me for my uniqueness. Much love fellow INFJers ❤

      @5cats4macs@5cats4macs Жыл бұрын
    • I think part of being abandoned when we need help is because people see us as natural helpers with a strong intuition and empathy radar. People don't see that sometimes we need support as well. It doesn't have to be anything groundbreaking. Because of our inherent empathy we appreciate any support.

    • we don't ever ask for much, but when we do ...after we've given so much already, to be suddenly abandoned...fuk it hurts and feels like betrayal. But we know we are strong and will help ourselves out of our situation. I feel I have gathered many scars on my heart but strangely I wear them as badges of honour.

I’m also bipolar depressive and suffering other mental health issues and a very sensitive empath but it took months to get over and I dropped like 20 pounds and I’m only 4’11. My Mom was very worried about me. But I’m a survivor I had 2 little boys to raise and I wasn’t leaving them I had to be a Mom first for them!! If you are one of the other personality types watching this video, know that all 16 types have equal capability to be good people. They just all see the world differently. Being an INFJ can be a blessing and a curse, but so can just being human. No personality type is inherently better or worse. Being honest with what you are is important for psychological growth.

  • I once worked with a large team of individuals. There was one woman who I always felt connected to. At meetings, if something was said that didn't sound right, she and I would always catch each other's eye as if saying, "oh no, here we go again." It wasn't sexual, just a connection on a different level, a different plane. We all ended up going to a team building weekend. That's the first time I took a Myers Briggs test or even heard of it. After we were tested a man from MB read the results. Ends up, we were both INFJs. Everyone else on the team was mostly Extroverted and Thinking types. The man told the group that they were very fortunate to have not one but two INFJs in the group. That it was a very rare type. He said the rest of the group were mostly concerned with things but that the two of us were the heart and soul of the group because we cared more about how the choices the team made effected people. He recommended that the team always check in with either one or better yet, both of us. Of course, the team didn't take his advice, and we both eventually left the team.

If you just don't care in general then you're possibly not an INFJ XD. INFJs are empaths, which is both a blessing and curse because we care, but we care too deeply and it can be very mentally draining on a day to day basis.

  • Being an INFJ and emotional empath can be a curse and gift. I would attract “emotionally broken” people who have broken relationship with their parents and family. I would sense their struggles from a distance and have the urge to ask how they’re feeling and sometimes befriend them. After a while of being friends with them, they often share their problems to me (thru text, call, and in-person). However, I absorb their emotions like a sponge to the point I end up feeling overwhelmed. Also, it’s difficult for me to share my problems with them because I don’t want to burden them more, so I would shut myself from everyone for days to recharge myself by painting, writing, playing music, etc. Sometimes, I wish someone would understand me as much as I understand others, which is a huge struggle for me.

So wanna say not everyone is your responsibility you cannot pour with an empty cup. Protect ur energy be selective where to invest . 🤎🤎✨

    • Like you want someone to hold you and actually listen to what you NEED and what you WANT, instead of like being the older sister or brother to rely on. It's really hard also if um you're also an INFJ with a not really "idealistic" family. I feel as though for my "ideal" family, I would want them to show me affection, of course not always, but a feeling like I know I can count on them when I need it. Some families don't really I feel like can show a lot of affection obviously, but it's kinda hard to go against them when THEY'RE YOUR FAMILY, and you don't know whether or not they kind actually love you for you or for your achievements. 😅 I kinda also don't really I guess have the "best of friends" I feel for me, but for me I can kinda just tell that they um have A LOT of expectations of me to be with them. I'm not sure if people will ACTUALLY read this or not because I'm just kinda rambling on in the comments because I don't really have anything else to console, but it's just REALLY making me happy to know I'm not alone, even if I know I'm not alone, it's kinda hard for me to tell people. 😅✋ And I also don't really know what to do with myself in my situation.?

  • I definitely am an INFJ. I took the MBTI test 4 times and the results is always INFJ-T. And I now understand why. I can relate in almost all of these things. I feel nervous when it comes to meeting new people, but I'm also very talkative when it comes to my small circle of friends. I always observe someone's behaviour and I can sense whether I can be friends with them or not, I also don't want to force myself into fitting in with people who I think doesn't have the same ideas/understanding as me but I'm always open with any discussion and I always make people feel heard and happy (I thought I'm just being too nice and I sometimes hate it bc some ppl might think I'm being plastic or smth). But yeah, I'm shy and sometimes thought I'm dumb bc I don't know what to say when it comes to socializing but I feel so smart inside my head. I have a lot of ideas and things that I'm always thinking and curious about. My escape of reality is writing, whenever I feel sad, happy, angry etc. I always write them bc I feel like talking isn't enough to express how I feel. I also solitude myself in need to recharge my energy before I can go back and socialize again. I love being alone. There was a time I thought I'm weird because I feel like the way I act is totally different from others, I thought of trying to change myself, trying to be more extroverted and expressive. But you know what, I don't care anymore lmao. I'm just gonna be myself because in this way I can actually find genuine friendships.

    • It's been 9 years since my last relationship. I'm 23 now. So that was back in high school. My first and last. Don't know when's the next one gonna be. I find the dating game and courtship exhausting. I've been told I'm attractive and women have shown interest in me(not a flex), but I just can't commit or something. Like there's this high bar of standard that a woman must meet before I even consider going out with her. Think of it as clinging to my 'ideal' partner. Thing is, no one will ever be an ideal partner for everyone. And that sabotages my dating prospects. Besides, I do this INFJ thing where I fit good anywhere, yet don't feel like I belong anywhere. There's this constant contradiction of wanting to be alone, yet not wanting to be lonely. I wonder if anyone feels like this?

      @lem09able@lem09able2 жыл бұрын
    • @@nellig_anne I see, that is relatable. Sometimes, there's also this feeling of me being invasive because I see through most people. I seem to accurately judge someone's character based on demeanors and expressions. Even on dating apps, someone's profile picture is enough to give me a general outline on what that person is and how she thinks. "This lady is shallow. This one is a narc. This one is insecure." And so on. And when I meet people, it feels like I'm invading their personal space by knowing too much about them. Seeing through someone's facade/fakeness also doesn't help. It just makes me aware that most people are faking interactions just to get by.

  • Being an INFJ can be difficult. Especially when encountering narcissistic and emotional manipulators. Once INFJ's have come into their power, those users are powerless. INFJ's are not pushovers. They don't like conflict, but will fight for what is right. They won't give in or give up. INFJ's can be fearless and unmoveable. People open up to them without any fear of judgment. Being an INFJ myself, has been a very interesting experience. Emotional balance and healthy boundaries are key.

He was not motivated by power but by a sense of right and wrong, he was serving the divine order (thought his idea of divine was dark). He was also very spiritual and into occult. Even Jesus was INFJ, but he interacted with so many people all the time. I really think these two were the most self actualised INFJs, one on dark and one on light side, so overtaken by their individual causes that they overcame all their infj barriers. The cause became bigger than the personality. We can learn from them.

    • @@Human_01 Using the evil "label" is reductive and counter productive when understanding human behaviour. The narcissist is born of nature and manipulation in the name of survival is exactly that, a product of nature. Narcissism and codependancy can often be the product of mistreatment, so the root is not so easy to discern. Many codependants have offered up their horrific experiences on Quora, terrified of being alone as they had been as children, they stayed in abusive relationships. If a narcissist is evil, than what is a human born without the capacity to love? Where might that root be? You should do your research if you care about the human condition. Fetishsising human behaviour has certainly caused much harm in the world. Narcissists are dangerous, many codependants can be remedied by therapy. I don't think either are the "root of all evil".

  • Thank you for your video. It was very informative. I recently decovered the personality type test and after 3 tests it affirmed 3 times I'm an INFJ-T personality type. There is much to learn. Would be nice to meet others who also are INFJ's to know we are not alone in this world 😉

  • Hello fellow INFJs!!! I'm here as an INFP trying to learn more about you, I just wanted to say I love you so much, you're amazing, you deserve love and I hope you can find someone to be yourself with because you deserve it!! My bff is an INFJ and she was the best thing that happened in my life, and it was her who approached me actually, it took some time for me too, but now I don't know what my life would be without her💖🥺

    • @@RozzaaBee not always. my mother and my son are narcissists. cruel narcissists. dealing with these people is heartbreaking when they are family and you finally have to make the choice that they cannot be a part of your life. that isn't okay especially for someone who is so highly sensitive and feels everything so deeply.

    • Happened to me. My ex was a narcissist and constantly found ways to manipulate me. My intuition was screaming throughout our relationship but I ignored it. That... was a mistake. Anyways, eventually I snapped out of it and ended things, but only after dealing with about 5 months of emotional abuse.

    • Happened to me in the workplace. My supervisor was one, and I always sensed that something was off about her from the moment I met her. I don't always read people correctly (I'm a little too trusting and earnest; I don't like turning people away, having struggled to fit in from a very early age, so I try to be inviting), but I hit the mark with her. I had one too many breakdowns in the office as a consequence of being under someone who just wanted to be cruel, controlling, and unconcerned for the people we served (government), while coming off as extremely insecure and damaged. Imagine having to deal with that over close to four years. While I had very strong feelings about what she did to me, I would often wonder what made her like that.

  • I can relate to all of these signs on a very strong level. But the most one's that truly represents me are the fact that I am driven by my curiosity and passion in whatever I do, and the fact that we feel like we don't belong in this world. The feeling of not belonging had always been with me since as long as I can remember. With time I grew to accept it. But it hurts sometimes knowing that no matter what I do, I will always feel this way.
