I think we all should just take moment to be impressed she handpainted tiles and made her own wallpaper. I wonder what a third person thinks we all should just do.
I think we should equaly appreciate that Phillip dug and install most of the sewage system as well. It´s not something pretty to look at or that you even notice but if it wansn´t there you would 100% notice it. Always important to ackwoledge the "invisible" work that almost never gets praised
I fireplace should have stayed in kitchen...transform it maybe but it was homier but could have fit in with kitchen concept...my thoughts only....but brillant overall
I am particularly struck with how, over the years, you have both emphasized humor, love of your family and friends, love of the project, and love of beauty and creativity, and an adventurous spirit. This is truly living "the good life!"

Y’all have done SO much in 5 years. The kitchen is still my favorite transformation. It’s so beautiful and calm. The blue tiles behind the range are just perfection.
Mine too. I just can’t take it all in. Such a huge space - made so warm, cozy and classy. Gorgeous

The kitchen is the kind of interior that makes me wonder why buy an old house if you’re going to try dress it up to be modernist
I liked how they did different rooms in different colors...but the kitchen was not it. They basically drained any warmth and color from it. The hand-painted tiles are cute - but they don't pop out in an all-white kitchen. They should have added some color to it, it's wayy too gray.
How on earth do they access the upper cupboards? They need one of those antique library stairs, with casters for moving around. lol
As a retired remodeler and new home residential builder I am truly blown away by this project! The amount of hours, planning, decision making, measuring, fabricating, delivering, installing, painting then the hard part paying for it all is absolutely brilliant hats off to all involved job well done! I am especially pleased to see a couple have the energy and finances to save one of these once grand now forgotten estates back to it's new found glory to be passed on to future generations to enjoy. 48 yrs in the building and restoration trade here in th US. amazing job for such a daunting task at the beginning. perseverence is a gift not many people posess, this I am sure at times has been the ultimate test of it. love the colors and style and you my dear are one painting woman!! congrats on such a beautiful restoration, may you enjoy it for the remainder of your lives and your children beyond!!

I've seen plenty of renovations/restorations in my day (I'm 79) but this is, by far, the most beautiful one I've ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous, par excellence, beyond words. So much old world craftsmanship and dedication to their art. Looks like a labor of love. Thank you. My only criticism is that the video was too short. I could have watch one for another hour. Bravo and kudos to all!!!

Absolutely remarkable beyond belief! The detail work is amazing! You all should do a vote in the future on which room is everyone's favorite! Which one is yours? Personally I love the kitchen because it took a very long time and was very complicated, love the painted stove tiles! I also love the boot hallway. Absolutely just perfectly beautiful ! I watch about 25 chateau vlogs...and have for many years...its my opinion and choice that YOURS is the most attractive and interesting...the personalized touches, the ART of Anna's is exactly my "cup of tea". Great job - long and hard work, as I've seen, but the results of course well worth it...Ella and Lily will one day watch this vlog and appreciate it so much to see and know how hard you both worked - and grandparents also - to create a home and a mansion to be passed on to those girls and their families. I enjoy you both - Phillip is a "mess" (in Virginia, where I was born and raised, this saying "a real mess" is a COMPLIMENT to how much fun, and how enjoyable, how having a great personality equals to having an individual that people t want to be around...and say "nice to meet you Phillip, come and sit by me" whenever possible.) That truly is an amazing undertaking and accomplishment. I was watching home renovations and this popped up on my feed. What I liked was the five years packed into 21:33 minutes. Sometimes a lot of these videos while amazing in themselves, are over 1-2 hours long. To capture the essentials in their brevity is an achievement in itself. OMG a renovation with small children, and ceilings that go on forever. I am awestruck at the amount of hard work and attention to detail that must of gone in to this renovation. And of course from watching numerous amounts of simple renovations the budget always fly's out the door. Just absolutely beautiful and brilliant renovation, fit for royalty.

I love how the renovation of these wonderful chateaux is allowing the artisan trades to flourish and the tradesmen to maintain/refresh their unique skills.
You did so much more than renovate this place. The custom made wall stamps and hand painted kitchen wall tiles, all these "little" touches really take it to the next level.
