  • To everybody saying ”Mike said 7 Mile, lol”, you’re the incorrect ones. Em is from 7 Mile, 8 Mile is the road that separates the white part of Detroit from the black part. So before bashing the champ, get your facts straight.

  • To hear Mr. Mathers be a fanboy to Mike Tyson should remind all of us that he is just like one of us. A fan. No matter how many record you sold, no matter how many times you’ve circled the world on tour, you were still just another dude and another fan. Kudos to Marshall for reminding us of that.

Two entirely different success stories, pathways, and lives after fame, still THIS FAMOUS after 30 years for Tyson and 20 for Mathers. This is an example of humility, love, and mutual respect among totally different people from different places with different beliefs. While us who strive yet fail to reach one-hundredth of this level of success are fighting with and hurting one another for having a different opinion, being a different way. Fuck you. It is too special. Tweak your perspective on life, man. Inner-peace is the most special thing a human being can have, it's a bigger accomplishment than ANYTHING you could ever do for oneself, and enables you to be able to help others help others. That's the purpose of existence. To find permanent inner-peace and show how to do it with humanity so that they can share it as well, perpetuating more peace and securing humanity's place in the universe.

  • This is the most comfortable I have ever seen Eminem in an interview. Mike understands his story and empathizes without judgement, the energy doesn't lie. Em actually wanted to be there and keep talking, hopefully we see a pt 2 soon. Two brilliant people having a great conversation, love it!

    • Talented + the knowledge of what they've been through the gutter then go through the crazy Fame and money where it eats your soul and destroys your principals then to snap back and grab yourself and ground yourself again that's where they are. That's what I see when says they're humble. Politicians need to be humbled.

  • A repetitive motif in present-day Mike's perception of his former self is this idea that he despised what he was doing but felt like he needed to do that, like he needed to BE that person, at least in the ring. He was a fearful person, and he needed to become what he despised when he was in the ring. It seems like now that hes not fearful like that anymore, he believes he wouldnt fight the same without that insecurity and fear....
