Don't ask a pro athlete to give a twirl. Ask them about their preparation for the competition, or their strategy, or their odds. Serena is a legend. It's rude to reduce her to her incredible level of fitness.

If you say something a feminist doesn't like and you're a woman you have internalized misogyny because apparently women aren't allowed to be individuals with their own beliefs and ideas. You must tow the feminist line or else. Now not all feminists are that extreme, but some are and very loudly so. • I’m a swiftie, and I love Taylor swift. It always irritates me when people say all her song are about her exes. Like bro her most famous song isn’t even a breakup song. Majority of songs are about lovers/exes. The emotions evoked from those people enhance the lyrical value to the song, making it better. Personally, Taylor is a lyrical genius. You guys should see what she says about mad woman in the folklore long pond studio. It really brings insight about the topic of sexism and I love how she talked about it.

    • @@sturmfrei5853 note that I said “only” in my statement. I’m criticising the people who say she “always” writes songs about her exes (which is obviously false). You may think that she mostly writes songs about her past relationships, but I would have to disagree with you. I would say that some songs definitely are, but certainly not most. There are plenty of counterexamples. E.g. most of folklore, evermore, lover, reputation and midnights (her most recent 5 albums), the lucky one, Ronan, starlight, superstar, I’m only me when I’m with you, the best day, welcome to New York, New Romantics, bad blood, blank space, clean, shake it off, message in a bottle, untouchable, YBWM, long live, enchanted, Mary’s song, tied together with a smile, the outside, a place in this world… are not about her exes. There are many more examples, but I don’t wanna list them all lol, it would take me days

      @SillyRamen@SillyRamen4 жыл бұрын
    • SillyRamen You know damn well he wouldn’t have criticized a man for not smiling. Women are constantly being policed in the ways they react and show emotion; being told to smile is just an extension of that. The idea that women should have to smile - even when they don’t want to - just to appease other people (men in most cases) is stupid and just another way for men to (1) invalidate the emotions of women and (2) guilt them into doing things they don’t want to do.

      @kmbeautyandmore4292@kmbeautyandmore42924 жыл бұрын
    • @@kmbeautyandmore4292 Wow, I think you are trying WAY too hard to be mad at this.I do know damn well he would have ASKED a man why they didn't smile after being given a compliment. Smiling after being given a compliment is NOT gender specific, nor is it specific to anyone. Smiling in happiness is biological and universally understood as such in any society. And no one is POLICING women how they show their emotion in this clip. Literally anyone would wonder why someone (male or female) didn't show any happiness after people praised them. It's not to "appease" anyone, its a natural reaction when you are happy. So when people see you don't show any form of being happy in a situation you are expected to be happy in, then people wonder if you are upset, or don't care instead. Again... REGARDLESS OF GENDER. And how the hell does this invalidate the emotions of women? And how the hell was this interpreted as a MAN trying to guilt a WOMAN into doing anything? (maybe guilt was a goal, but how do you know a woman wouldn't have said the same thing? Cause not showing appreciation when complimented is rude. Again regardless of gender) And how the hell did any of this clip strike you as a girl being targeted because of her gender in order for a man to feel some sort of power over her? Nothing was sexist in that clip, you are pulling at strings.
